Political unrest is a constant roadblock on overseas legs of "The Amazing Race Canada." Plans to visit Kenya this season were scrapped after risks on the way to safari locations were assessed.
"It's a little bit trickier in some countries than it used to be," says Brunton, "and that's a constantly shifting situation."
Its assumed that Panama might be a substitute for scrapped Kenya leg, considering that TAR Canada have featured very few other international destinations at most.
I still say Might, but it does seem likely as China and Thailand do seem to be both tied to the Sinorama sponsor deal.

Agreed. Sinorama deal was in all probability always for two legs. They received a lot of publicity in the deal. PLUS look at the pattern of previous seasons. The first international leg is always a double.

Being Canada, you know there will be more tasks, which is what the preview looked like.
It was also very foreboding for Karen & Bert :'( (And the new sneak peek is Karen again, and she floats that word - "penalty"). I hate to say it, because I love this team, but if next week isn't a NEL they're likely toast. The weakest team left.
Korey & Ivana kinda are, but are at least getting a task that's right up their alley, kickboxing.
That task with the dresses looks like the one from TAR19 that memorably kept the snowboarders out of the final, but with a variation on it.

The building with the crazy colourful roof in 17-19 is the BioMuseo.
A nature museum opened in 2014, designed by Frank Gehry to look like origami (famous architect known for weird and unique buildings. And originally Canadian, I actually didn't know that)

Apparently a mola is a intricately patterned cloth that makes up the Kuna peoples' dress. Clip doesn't specifcalky say what full task is, but guessing either to search the plaza to find a woman whose dress has the matching pattern (a la TAR19 Panama) or collect a few to assemble a dress. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mola_(art_form)
Plaza de Francia is in this vicinity. That's probably the cluebox for this task.

Another Sneak Peak shows Sam & Paul getting kind of blitzed with the Craft Beer task (Detour) asking for refills when it's probably just meant to be a tasting/identification thing. Yikes. :groan:

Funny how they never went to the Miraflores Locks and still produced one of the finest Latin American legs ever, like how the Eiffel wasn't even part of the legendary episode that eliminated the twin-brothers.
TLDR: Who needs monuments to make good TAR?
