Post by: Lmh1988 on May 13, 2017, 09:21:11 PM: I'm so excited. I had a really good feeling about this, 18-49 ratings are what the networks care about the most and TAR is performing quite well, especially after factoring in DVR ratings, in a time slot that CBS has had a lot of problems with.

That's great news for TAR's new trend in one-cycle renewal per TV season.

It is not a trend if its only happened once so far. :groan:

Historically, CBS has greenlit TAR one cycle at a time, even when there has been 2 or 3 cycles aired within a given television year. We may have to wait until upfronts day this next week to get more clarity as to scheduling.

ATM, we don't know when CBS plans to air cycle 30, so we don't know if it will just be one cycle for 2017-18 or two. We also don't know yet if CBS plans to use TAR 30 as a designated bench warmer as it did this season in the fall, and the spring, or whether they are committing to a definite time slot on their schedule (fall, winter, spring) or not. We may get clarity on some of this next week at the upfronts, and then we'll have a better idea of what to expect for 2017-18. And for the record CBS has always committed to greenlight one cycle at a time, even in those years we got two cycles.

I'm really against the idea of this. If they use the format they've used for past All Stars (disregarding threepeats :res: ) they'll only use teams from 25 - 29, and there's NOWHERE NEAR enough teams in those seasons to justify a decent All Star race. I tend to totally ignore 27 & 28, coz they were both rubbish, and only had about 2 / 3 teams that were good, most of which aren't even All Star calibre.
Think of it like this - TAR 30: All Stars - Justin & Diana, Tyler & Korey, Brody & Kurt, Tanner & Josh..... OH DEAR GOD, NO!!!! :groan: :iok

Even glam teams from 25 & 26 wouldn't salvage such a dire season. :escape

Of course, having said this, if they were to bring back Dustin & Kandice, Brooke & Clare, Charla & Mirna, Nicky & Kim, Kym & Alli, Pam & Winnie then yea, let them fire on all cylinders with the idea. :funny:

I think it is very possible that the international editions will outlive the American original.

As for TAR30, the most interesting questions are about cast, gimmick and how low the budget can go (or how much subsidies can they get from local tourism boards lol)
