Previously on The Amazing Race Asia...

Six teams raced to the Philippines!

A shopping spree at the market caused chaos... but it was all for a good cause.

While most teams zipped through the Roadblock, Anita & Tom just couldn't hit the mark.

At the Detour, frontrunners Treasuri & Louisa got tiedup while underachievers JK & Mike put their skills to good use allowing them to get first for the first time!

Anita & Tom were unable to bring it in and their race came to an end.

Five teams remain...who will be eliminated next?

JK & Mike depart first!

Route Info: Make your way to Singapore! Once there, go to Resorts World, Sentosa, to receive your next clue!

All other teams depart, and Eric & Rona say 4th is their lucky number.

Treasuri & Louisa keep an eye out on JK & Mike and Yvonne & Chloe.

All teams are now in Singapore! Yvonne accidentally hits her head on the taxi back! :lol:

All teams are at Resorts World Sentosa! Eric & Rona run the other way!

Yvonne & Chloe and JK & Mike get the clues in 1st and 2nd!

Roadblock: Who's ready for an underwater stroll?

One team member must enter the aquarium (Open Ocean habitat) and then pick a card. Once there, they must match the card with a marine species. They will be allowed three incorrect tries or try again.

All other teams get it!

Maggie is doing it, Mike is doing it, Yvonne is doing it, Louisa is doing it, Eric is doing it.

OH I MISUNDERSTOOD THIS TASK THE WAITING PARTNER IS THE ONE MATCHING THE SPECIES NOT THE RB PERFORMER!

Chloe says that Treasuri is an underwater fish genius or something :lol: <3

Chloe gets it right! Yvonne & Chloe are out in first!

Route Info: Make your way to the Skyline Promenade to receive your next clue.

Treasuri is wrong. Louisa tries again. Louisa tries another one. Treasuri is wrong again!

Treasuri is absolutely flustered. She doesn't know what Yellowfin Tuna looks like! She's wrong AGAIN!

Louisa has to dive again after all the other teams.

Treasuri looks defeated :(

The roadblock sounds cool in terms of location. I'm glad I'm not doing it, because I have a big fear of sea creatures.

I think the task should've been an ARI, since both teams participated in the task. ???

Maggie dives. Parul has no idea what a lionfish is but guesses it correctly! They're out in 2nd!

Maggie says that her son is fond of fish and talks to Auntie Parul about it lol <3

Mike gets a "Leopard Shark". JK & Mike get it on their first attempt! They're in 3rd.

I think the task is challenging enough, but it has some sort of linearity since only 2 racers can go underwater at a time.

JK & Mike panic in their cab and tell their driver to hurry up because they're the final Singaporean team left.

Eric & Rona begin the Roadblock. Rona is wrong.

Treasuri & Louisa on their second attempt. Treasuri gets it but second-guesses herself. She's wrong.

Rona is wrong again!

Treasuri & Louisa finally get it on their third attempt! They're out in 4th!

Rona feels sad about letting Eric down. Rona is confused. Rona however gets it! Eric & Rona are currently in last place!

Parul & Maggie arrive and begin searching for the cluebox.

We're back!

Parul & Maggie end up being on the wrong side entirely of the Skyline Promenade.

JK & Mike pass them and catch up with Yvonne & Chloe.

JK & Mike offer to share because there are only 2 binoculars. Yvonne & Chloe refuse and then make a deal 5 seconds later :lol: <3

JK & Mike find the flag at the OUE building. Parul & Maggie arrive and despite JK & Mike promising Yvonne & Chloe to not help other teams, JK & Mike tip them off where to look.

Treasuri & Louisa arrive behind Parul & Maggie.

Meanwhile, JK & Mike and Yvonne & Chloe discuss their decisions in their respective cabs.

Treasuri & Louisa and Parul & Maggie are stumped, and Eric & Rona arrive behind them.

Eric & Rona say that they only saw 2 binoculars but Eric brought a pair with them and they begin searching.

Parul & Maggie find the flag at the OUE building and Louisa notices where they're looking and follow them.

Parul & Maggie notice Treasuri & Louisa's cab following them. "That grandpa just overtook us" :lol: <3

Parul & Maggie lose Treasuri & Louisa and get the clue in 3rd! Treasuri & Louisa end up entering the elevator just as Parul & Maggie get the clue and get theirs in 4th!

Eric & Rona are lost. They went to the Standard Chartered Bank instead! Rona does not see anything :(

Parul & Maggie and Trez & Lou's competition is fun to watch so far. At least these 2 teams are competitive. :hoot:

We're at the Singapore Turf Club.

JK & Mike in first!

Detour: Skate Rat or Drone Hat

Skate Rat: Complete a course on an electric skateboard. One team member must do a regular course while the other balances 10 tin cans in their course to get their clue.

Drone Hat: Land a glider on someone's head (essentially the TAR20 Italian Fast Forward :lol:) to receive your next clue.

JK & Mike choose Drone Hat and Yvonne & Chloe choose Skate Rat.

The last team to arrive at the right Pit Stop may be eliminated!

I like how both sides of the detour are related to wireless technology. Each side has its difficulties, but I think balancing on an electric skateboard is more difficult than staying still with a big "hat" or maneuvering the drone.

Parul & Maggie begin flying their drone.

Treasuri & Louisa arrive at the task and choose drone hat. Treasuri overshoots and freaks out :lol: <3

Parul can't fly it. Maggie is frustrated. Parul flies it right into the net! :lol: <3

Yvonne & Chloe meanwhile, finish the Detour and are in 2nd!

Treasuri freaks out when she can't land the plane omg :lol: <3

Parul & Maggie choose to switch.

Meanwhile... Eric & Rona are still lost. They argue.

Watching a competition between the drone-flying detour is more fun than watching it as a Fast Forward, in my opinion.

Rona finally considers the OUE building! They find it finally! They're in last place!

Rona says that they should never give up.

They arrive at the Esplanade Jetty and see the Pit Stop at the Merlion Jetty instead! They arrive and the Pit Stop is moving again! They have to go to the third Jetty at the Marina Bayfront South Jetty!

Parul & Maggie check in as Team Number Four! Parul & Maggie say that they're so happy to just be in Top 5 and it's already an achievement that no one can take away from them.

Teams lose their footing (task involving one team member walking across a tightrope and Parul yells at Mike to keep his balance) while Chloe and Maggie lose their mind (archery task).

JK & Mike were strategic with the moving pit stop, when I thought it was supposed to be luck-based. They are reminding me of Louie & Michael with their underdog jump. :hoot:

All these FF teams are strong.  :hoot:

Eric & Rona still have a chance! :hoot: I hate F4 NEL's and they make little to no sense, so it was expected this would be a NEL.

Preview: Are those haybales? ??? Seems out of place, so maybe my eyes are just playing tricks on me. Edit: Oh archery!

Surprisingly great leg, definitely nothing as good as the Thailand - Philippines stretch but still really solid.

Loved all the "Make your way to X to get your clue" Route Infos. Loved the moving Pit Stop. Loved the Roadblock.

A horrible Detour wasn't focused on as much.

What a season <3

This leg was good. The roadblock was good enough, though it technically isn't a roadblock with both members participating. The binoculars route info was okay. It did put one team off. The detour was good and challenging enough, but the lack of audience setting made it a bit, just a little bit, meh. The moving pit stop was the best touch of the leg I think. It was fun watching teams chase the boat! :lol:

It may not be the best leg, but overall, it's a good leg. :tup:

Teams seem to be returning to Indonesia for the last 3 legs? I hope that budget-saving and Indonesian tourism sponsor factors don't make the last few legs dull.

I agree that this has been a good season so far. I've just finished watching all the earlier TARA seasons and this is one of the better ones. I liked the moving pit stop. That was a twist I don't recall seeing before.

The parking deck was a very odd and not visually interesting choice. There must have been some plaza or park they could have done that in. The episode ended up being a good one, but it really didn't have much Singapore flavor to it. An aquarium and a parking structure are the main locations? They could have done that in other cities. I'm not sure what aquariums are present in other Asian cities, so maybe it's relatively unique.

So it was a parking deck.  :funny: I agree with Peach. I'd love more scenery, and audience impact to watch the teams. I think there will be more pressure when there's an audience.
