Same as last season, maybe 2 teams will be eliminated 1st leg again. :groan:Yes, they are going to have two first legs again just like the last season.
Good first episode I didn't think that team would be eliminated :(
I meant the location of the leg, Israel?Tel Aviv, Israel.
Could someone please post the schedule ?? Thanks!
has been ep2 yet
So is anyone else watching this? I tell ya, HaMerotz LaMillion never disappoints. We've got pasta, parmesan, and pretending to be statues. I'm cheering for Ben & Ori and Lee & Tal, hoping that Monada & Adriano get eliminated quickly.
Ah sorry, I only update the RFF wiki after a leg is finished. I can provide brief recaps here.
-The 12 remaining teams flew to Rome, Italy and searched Parking Structure C for a person with their next clue.
-This clue contained a transparent image with part of da Vinci's Vetruvian man. Teams had to find the one car with a sticker containing the other part of the Vetruvian man, which they could take.
-Teams drove to La Carovana Restaurant, where they had to spoon through a gigantic pot filled with all sorts of pasta. Team had to use their hands to search through the (very HOT) pasta looking for 16 English letters that looked like pasta pieces. Anything that wasn't spaghetti had to be sorted, and all spaghetti had to be put back in the pot. Some of the letters could be used to spell "Parmigiano", which would get them the next clue.
--Excited after finishing the clue, Hen hugs the judge (an elderly Italian woman) and the two fall to the ground. The judge is slightly hurt and needs to sit down, but in the end she smiles and laughs.
-U-Turn vote. Online dating couple Dor & Sapir received the majority, 4/12 votes
-Teams left their vehicles behind (already??) and traveled by taxi to Piazza Cairoli. Detour clue.
-In MEAT, teams found Norcineria Viola and had to memorize the taste, look and smell of 12 kinds of Salami. Then travel on foot across the Piazza to a salami stand and identify the pieces of salami there. (Copy of TAR20 Turin task)
--Brothers Ben & Ori start tasting the salami and quickly give up, switching tasks.
-In DAIRY, one team member had to hold a huge, heavy block of cheese while their partner used a cheese grater to grate it down. They had to keep doing this until they got 1kg of cheese gratings.
--Monada cut her finger badly during this task, making her cry.
-U-Turn Reveal. Sapir feels like she's gone back in time to high school where everyone is bullying her.
-Teams are told to find the statue of the Greek God of the Sea. This refers to the statue of Neptune at Piazza del Popolo.
--Footballers Tzion & Aviv misinterpret the clue and ask their driver to take them to "God Sea Square". The driver starts taking them to the People's Square.
-At Popolo, teams had to become human statues, including costumes and body paint. They had to find a local who would agree to become a third human statue. Then the three had to recreate the statue of Neptune and his two sons, remaining completely still in order to earn 10 Euros from locals.
--Teams begin this task, but no-one completes it before the episode ends. Night has fallen over Rome.
So is anyone else watching this? I tell ya, HaMerotz LaMillion never disappoints. We've got pasta, parmesan, and pretending to be statues. I'm cheering for Ben & Ori and Lee & Tal, hoping that Monada & Adriano get eliminated quickly.
Uhh... Neptune's the Roman god of the sea. The Greek name was Poseidon. Come on, HaMerotz LaMillion! Unless of course it was just that one team saying that, in which case come on, whichever team that was!

If you don't speak Hebrew, how do you know that's what they're talking about? ???
I have no idea what people are saying, ... it's in a completely foreign language that hasn't got a link to a romance or Germanic language :funny:!IMO, hebrew is a fun language to get into :)
Oh yes, do you guys have an idea about the English subtitles? I'm looking for it anywhere but I couldn't find it. (although I understand a little bit, perhaps I hope I can improve with this; because I'm also learning Hebrew atm), thanks before.
Episodes are Sunday and Tuesday.
wait did the schedules change? were episodes moved to Mondays & Tuesdays?

I'm confused, too. Is this leg already over? The placements are already filled in, but part 1 was only 2 days ago.
Noticing a pattern here that could possibly translate into a final memory challenge? Every leg has an impersonator of a famous figure.
2 - Neptune
3 - Galileo
4 - Dracula
Let's see if this continues.
Why didn't Josie participate in the salt lake task?
Where was Leg 6 located, there's nowhere to find information :gaah:.
Also assuming there was a preview where will Leg 7 be, or has leg 6 not finished?

Leg 6 is not over yet. It takes place in the deserts of the Erongo region, and then in the city of Swakopmund. Do you guys still want me to do my quick little recaps here? Remember, I only update the wikis after legs are finished.
Wow, I have gotta say that Lee & Tal are the worst Jenga players I have ever seen. You don't take an edge piece out after the middle piece is already gone! That's basic physics!
What does "גיסות" mean for Naomi & Hen? Translating only give me "troops". Are they in the Israeli army?
So far on Leg 6:
-Overnight journey to the Moon Valley in Erongo, to village of the Demara tribe.
--Ritual to join the tribe: dress in traditional clothes, dance with the locals, then drink something foul-tasting (not disclosed on the show what it is)
--Fill a bucket with water from the tribe's reservoir, then use two sticks to carry it 1.5km. Each team member holds a stick, pointing them backwards and crossing them to hold the bucket.
--Use sticks, grass and elephant dung to light a fire (TAR22 task) Adriano badly hurts his hands by failing this too many times
--Enter a field with 18 underground storage holes, used by locals to store food. Each team member reaches into one, where something disgusting is inside. It's a memory game, keep doing this until nine matches are made.
--Yield Vote (Another three-way tie between L/T, T/A and Y/Y)
-Drive to the Swakopmund Salt Company
--Step into the artificial pink lake and harvest salt from the lakebed to fill a 25kg bag.
--Load this bag of salt onto a cart that already has salt on it, making a total of 50kg, and haul it 1km to a salt pile.
--Dig for the next clue in this gigantic salt pile, at least 50 feet high (Clues are in camouflaged white boxes, but not buried more than a foot under the surface)
-Drive into Swakopmund, find the Namib High School
--FACE OFF: Play Jenga with large cardboard boxes. (Invented by a white man living in east Africa). Naomi & Hen lose.
--Yield Reveal
-Drive to Dune 7 (Which may or may not be the Matterhorn Sand Dune from TAR2)
...Next time

I have a cultural question. I've noticed that language in this show is never censored (I'm not talking about when they say English swear words, I mean they never censor Hebrew speech). Are there, like, no curse words in Hebrew?
I thought it was pretty odd, too, that they chose to have another break 'task' when in the previous leg - previous episode in fact - they did the same thing. I wonder if they're because of the show's sponsor.

wait did the schedules change? were episodes moved to Mondays & Tuesdays?
And the schedule changes again, these last two weeks it's back to Tuesdays and Sundays.
A bit of an unexpected elimination this time. They were one of the season's strongest by average.
Hey guys, Reshet have left up the country restriction for their videos! :cheer: :cheer: :yess:
Thought Leg 8 would have started by now.
Aw no, is this the week of their traditional mid-season Recap episode? :(
So, having not seen the preview, are they moving on to South Korea for Leg 9? I noticed the Hebrew Wikipedia page has added the flag, but I thought the spoilers said 2 legs in India
Hi
Just found this forum - I live in Israel and watch the show each week.
Just watched Sunday's episode - India !
If you have questions about the Hebrew (עברית) :( feel free to ask :grins:
BTW - someone asked about the word גיסות - translated it means 'sisters in law' (Naomi and Chen).
- Ivan
Has anyone been able to see the past episodes?
Has anyone been able to see the past episodes?
I did.
Shall I recap them? If yes, which episode(s) should I do?
Hi all -
This last episode in Korea was a non-elimination leg.. Jose and Alex were last because they had a 15 minute yield.
Ben and Ori passed them by mere seconds and they ended up on the mat together.
BTW - Ben is not claustrophobic, Uri didn't want to take the fish in his hands because he felt that it was cruel and hurting the fish. (same thing in India).
Ben got very mad at him but he bounced back.
Placements at the end of the 9th leg (S. Korea):
1. Raz and Amit
2. Tzion and Aviv
3. Lee and Tal
4. Yael and Yosiel
5. Ben and Ori
6. Jose and Alex
Here is a link (always working) to watch live (this Tuesday 21:00 IDT): :wohoo:

Ivan, as far as I heard there's no showing of HMLM 5 tonight due to this show called "Me'orvevim" (?) (מעורבבים) taking over their slot? It was posted in HMLM's official page, I just wanted to make sure. Thanks before! :) (also thanks for the link though, it'll be very helpful)
It airs (23 August) doesn't it? ???
(It does, according to Wikipedia)
The Wikipedia page still says that Vietnam will be aired on August 23. Do they mean August 28? Can someone fix it?
Why has this version of the show done away with Non-Elim penalties...?I got no idea, as I expected some Speed Bump/Handicap or some sort, or an MFE. I'm confused too, you're not alone :/
>Fly to Hanoi, Vietnam
>Hanoi Opera House
Stand on the roof and watch the busy traffic roundabout, looking for seven numbers on vehicles and people. Then go to a motorcycle parking lot nearby and find one of a few license plates that have those seven numbers.
(Ben & Ori jump into a taxi, when it's only like a block away. Their driver takes them on an unwitting tour of Hanoi before dropping them back off at the Opera House)
U-TURN VOTE (J&A)
>Hoan Kiem Lake
DETOUR
Slow: Perform Tai Chi for 30 straight minutes.
Fast: Perform cardio aerobics for 30 straight minutes.
U-TURN REVEAL
>Truc Bach Lake Marina
Ride in a swan boat and take a break from the race for X minutes, enjoying some fresh fruit.
>School next door ("Hau Hoc Van"?)
FACE OFF: Vietnamese sport that probably has a name, I just don't know it. Two sit on a thin pole and balance there, while hitting each other with padded sacks trying to knock the other off. 2 team member from each team fight, then the other two fight. If there's a tie, then any team member can fight in the tie breaker.
Josie & Alex last place, 15-minute penalty.
I gotta say, I am really getting tired of these "Take a break from the race" tasks, especially when there's more than one per season. Especially considering we just had the "call from home" episode during the last leg, AND a recap episode before this one.
@BourkieBoy: All episodes of TAR Israel have Hebrew subtitles. The best way to watch is to just watch, and then pause if there's something you REALLY need to understand, then translate those subtitles. The team intros during episode 1 are exceptionally long. The race gets going after they're done.
Also, asking this once again, please please please be considerate and place future locations in spoiler tags. I really hate having to carefully scroll through the posts and hide my eyes in a panic.
Do we know when the next LEG airs? ???The leg after that airs just last night IDT :) and this Tuesday, hopefully it's a two parter :)

Also a good news guys! In this moment, I realized Reshet accidentally lift the ban, or it's just them lifting the ban for this leg -- I got no idea. Yeeeeesh :D :D (I'm impressed)

Thus far in Cambodia!!
>Fly to Siem Reap, CAMBODIA
>Tonle Sap Dock
Take row boat to...
>Vietnamese Primary School, Tonle Sap
Spend some time with the kids, then clue.
>Kho Andeth (TAR13), Tonle Sap

(Toys) Pig/Rooster, Lion/Tiger, Bananas/Corn and Turtle/Parrot. Pig/Rooster can't be left alone with Bananas/Corn, Lion/Tiger can't be left alone with Pig/Rooster. Bring all over. Leave behind Turtle and Parrot. They will be stopped if they do a step in the puzzle wrong.
>Nearby houseboat
Take ANOTHER break... (SO sick of these)
>Wat Damnak
TAR19 Buddha Shrine task. Memorize without notes. Take it apart, load it onto cyclo, and take it to...
>Prea Prom Rath Wat
Reassemble shrine perfectly.
YIELD VOTE
>Sita's Farm
Herd 500 ducks to a nearby lake. Wait there with the ducks for 10 minutes, then herd them back to their pen.
>Basket Selling Stall in Sokka
RBK:Take a basket bike and deliver them to a house. Then, search through baskets for one with tiny race flag attached. Only thing partner can do is reattach fallen baskets.
>Rice Farm in Sokka
Delivery point. Then, use the race-marked basket to catch three fish from the farm's pond. Place basket down like a cage to trap fish, then reach into hole in the top to pick up fish with hand. One has to catch the fish. The other stands on the shore and holds the caught fish in basket.
YIELD REVEAL
>9th Street
...to be continued...
...does anyone know where "Sokka" is? (Or maybe Sokha)
GB is very sensitive about future locations, it's technically a spoiler until it comes up in the preview. That's why I avoided saying it specifically in my post above.
What was up with Josie & Alex's cab on the way to the pit stop?
Admittedly, I knew this final 3 a couple weeks ago. Read some translated comments on their official Facebook page saying the boot order got out.
So where's the final leg? Still in Melbourne?
One thing Israel's done differently from most other versions, and China also did this season, is not having the finish line in their home country. Which is kinda cool.
When does the finale air? At least I'm assuming it's the finale since every other finale has been a single episode.
When was the Finale filmed?
When was the Finale filmed?
Well, if Leg 12 was filmed on Decemeber 3-4, you would think December 5-6.
One way to find out. What day was the Melbourne Star (the ferris wheel) closed? Remember we found that notice well before filming got there. That was one of the final leg locations.
Edit: Found the post, December 4 their time. (It's somewhere in the TAR28 speculation thread but disappeared from the search for some reason after I posted this)
Melbourne Star will be CLOSED on Friday 4 December 2015 due to filming on the Star by a globally renowned adventure reality series who will be attempting an exciting and exclusive stunt.
WEll, Leg 13 is in Australia and so maybe they did film in Melbourne. At least we know one location featured:
The Melbourne Stat.
Do we have any more locations?

... it's the finale.
How much is the prize money? I think is 50,000 Hebrew money (whatever it's called), but I'm not sure.
OK, I found out what they win:Which by the way is equal to a little under $270,000 USD
1,000,000 shekels

WOW! That's not a lot....Ehh, it's not actually that bad. It might actually be the 2nd biggest prize. TAR Canada's prize is 250,000 Canadian dollars and TAR Australia's prize is 250,000 Australian dollars (both about equal to $192,000 USD)
And seriously, most of the tasks in this season are the hard Route Infos (or some tricky)... well honestly along watching I was like "well this task could be a Roadblock... why not making it a Roadblock committees?" but yeah... I hope more RBs and Detours in the future :)Please everyone, consider donating to the "Save the Detours and Roadblocks" fund.

What is it that Josie & Alex sing in multiple episodes? Anybody know?I apologize if my answer came three years later, but somehow I just realized that they sang Patrick Sebastien's Les Sardines most often among any other songs after I double-checked (and with my limited French).
