Previously on The Amazing Race Canada...
10 teams travelled to Buenos Aires, Argentina. RB had some teams teaming up leaving Hamilton to fend for himself. At the detour, Kristin & Neil put their best foot forward and finished the leg in 1st. The blind soccer challenge brought darkest hour for Nic & Sabrina, who took a penalty. Brian & Cynthia and Dana & Amanda raced to the pit stop as Nic & Sabrina's penalty was ending. Dana & Amanda were eliminated.

Neil & Kristin depart 1st at 8:41 AM. Route info: Fly to Halifax, Nova Scotia. Today is the last leg the EP has to be given out.
Gino & Jesse - 8:45 AM. They want to stay near the top.
Nick & Matt - 8:46 AM. $350 CAD for this leg of the race.
Dujean & Leilani - 9:05 AM. Leilani is from Halifax. The last time she went home, her dad passed away from a heart attack and the time before that her mom passed away from ovarian cancer omg. :( Today is the day her mom passed away omggg.
SImi & Ope - 9:10. Brent & Sean - 9:33 AM. Brent & Sean hope they get the EP.
Ham & Mich - 9:40 AM. They're not sure who to give the EP to.
Nic & Sabrina - 9:55 AM. Brian & Cynthia - 9:57 AM.

All teams on the same flight with a stopover in Toronto. Gino & Jesse offering to give Ham & Mich $50 and help at any challenge they need help with. Brent & Sean saying that they had a connection before Ham & Mich got the EP. Ham reveals to Brent & Sean that he's trans. Ham & Mich give the EP to Brent & Sean.
Other teams see the EP has been given. Gino & Jesse said if it was them, they would have turned themselves down too.
All teams on the same flight to Halifax. Find the woman in the BMO kiosk at the airport. Proceed to the Halifax Central Library. Scan the 500 3x5 paintings and accurately count the smartphones with black and white pictures of the original library. When they have the answer, write the answer on an index card, proceed to the 5th floor, present the number to the librarian. Omg lol amazing. Answer is 134.
Exes in 1st right now. Brian & Cynthia 2nd.
Exes guess 132. Wrong. Brent & Sean guess 133. Wrong. Ham & Mich and Nic & Sabrina have 134. Ham & Mich currently in 1st. Nic & Sabrina done the task too. RB: Who's got an eagle eye?
RB: Climb 340ft up the Angus L. MacDonald Bridge. Once at the top, step out on a narrow walkway and use binoculars to find their next clue. Once they spot the flag, they'll climb down and rejoin their partner and proceed. Mich doing it. Not sure which one of Nic or Sabrina is doing it.

All remaining teams decide to work together to start guessing numbers. They're starting at 104/105 lol.
Brian climbing inside the pillar. It's basically just a ladder inside the pillar. Brian is on the walkway. He's given the binoculars and he's looking for the flag. He found it. Proceed to Halifax Citadel. Brian & Cynthia describe the location to their taxi driver.
Mich, Nic and Leilani climbing up the ladder. Mich on the walkway. She's looking for the clue. Nic can't find anything. Leilani finds it lol. Dujean & Leilani tell their driver to go to Citadel Hill.
Wrestler is giving instructions on how to pick the numbers each team will guess lol.
Mich found the clue. Hamilton realizes he doesn't remember where he put his passport! Omg. HAMILTON THINKS HE LEFT IT ON THE PLANE?????? OMG. Michaelia asks if he checked her bag and he did... Michaelia says it could get them disqualified. She can't believe he lost it.

Hamilton calls Air Canada. They have to run the leg as fast as they can and then go to the airport to see if they can get the passport.
Nic thinks he found the clue.
Teams are going through a bunch of numbers. And they all finally get it lol.
Brian & Cynthia get the clue "Orange you glad I didn't say banana?" lol great clue. Proceed to Halifax Public Gardens where they'll find an Orange Julius kiosk. Taste and ID 5/10 flavours. Brian: "What's an acai?" :lol: Brian & Cynthia got 2/5 lol.
Nic & Sabrina at the location they think the clue is at... Nope it's just a red and yellow boat lol.

Dujean & Leilani arrive at the Orange Julius kiosk. Brian & Cynthia finish the task. Detour: Bubbles or Suds.
Bubbles - Find the Aquatron at Dalhousie University? Dive to the bottom of the aquatron and extract 2 live lobsters each. Band and tag lobsters with a tracking device in a real research project. Once 4 live lobsters have been tagged and released, they'll receive their clue.
Suds - Find a beer delivery truck. Deliver 3 beer orders. Each of the 3 pubs will have empty kegs, 2 of which have to be returned to the trunk.
Brian & Cynthia doing Bubbles. Brian got his lobsters really quickly. Cynthia's turn and she can't get to the bottom of the pool lol. She says she floats well and snorkles well but she can't dive well. :lol:
Nic & Sabrina returned to the bridge but Nic sees the flag. They're being taken there now. One of the wrestler and Sean done. Jesse had trouble finding the clue but then Kristin found it without even using binoculars. Jesse figured out where it was. Ope found it. All teams going to the location.
Hamilton & Michaelia done the OJ task in 3rd. Dujean & Leilani arrive at the beer truck. Leilani knows the streets of Halifax really well. 1 deliver done... BUT THEY FORGOT TO DO THE PICK-UP. Booo.

Cynthia can't get down to the bottom of the pool so they decide to switch detours... Brian: "We had this thing in the bag."
Hamilton & Michaelia arrive at the pool. Ham doesn't like that the pool is so deep.
Gino & Jesse realize they're not at the right location... They can't find the flag. Commercial.

We're back with Gino & Jesse lost... Jesse feels like he let his brother down. They're going back to the bridge...
Hamilton is afraid because the pool is so deep. Michaelia asks if he wants to switch... and he does.
Dujean tells Leilani to be quiet and Leilani doesn't like that lol. They're done 2 delivers but don't do another pick up. :groan:
Brian & Cynthia found a local couple to help them with the pub locations. They're done the 1st deliver and pickup.
Nic & Sabrina, Brent & Sean, Matt & Nick, Simi & Ope and Neil & Kristin all working on the OJ task. Brent & Sean and Nick & Matt done. Brent & Sean pick Bubbles, Nick & Matt pick suds.
Gino & Jesse see the flag. They stopped their taxi in the middle of the road and get honked lol.
Brian & Cynthia done 2 delivers and 2 pick-ups. Hamilton & Michaelia do 1 deliver. Michaelia asks if they need to pick anything up and Hamilton says no... Oh dear. :groan:
Dujean & Leilani done their deliveries... and now they realize that they have to pick up the kegs. :groan: Now they're done 2 pickups. Leilani decides to carry 2 kegs so they can do 2 pickups in 1.
Nick & Matt done 1 delivery and 1 pickup.
Brent & Sean at lobsters.

Brent dives down and then he gets scared of the lobster and goes back up. But then he got 1 Sean got 1. Sean has 2. Brent has 2... except his 2nd lobster is gripping the bucket loool. "No, you're not being boiled." :lol:
Gino & Jesse just showed up at the OJ task. Neil & Kristin done in 6th.
Brent & Sean have to band, clean and tag the lobsters. They're worried about the lobsters pinching them.
Nic & Sabrina 3/5 at the OJ task lol. Gino & Jesse done in 7th. Simi & Ope in 8th. Nic & Sabrina are in last... They can't figure it out. Commercial.

Hamilton & Michaelia made their 2nd delivery. They passed wrestlers but ignored them lol. Dujean & Leilani finish their pickups! THey're done in 1st. Pit stop: The roof of the Halifax Seaport Farmer's Market. Brian & Cynthia done the detour in 2nd. Mich's not impressed with Ham today. Mich says she still "loves" him though lol. Ham & Mich found out they need to do their pickups. Wrestlers doing their 2nd pickup.
Nic & Sabrina finish the OJ task. They pick bubbles.
Dujean & Leilani are team #1! <333333 Won a trip to a Caribbean destination and 2.5 million Petro points for 6 months of free gas. Leilani said today was for her mom. :'( :'( :'(

Happy to have 4 teams gets first on the first 4 legs!! (big changed from last season)
Sad for Hamilton and Michaelia, but hey.... maybe had they kept the express pass they would have used it on this leg and have time to get the passport and survive!

It's a twist that they are calling a "world first exclusive" (dispute the fact that it's been used in other versions).
Basically, two teams will face off in a challenge. The first to succeed in the challenge will continue in the race and the looser has to wait for the next team. The team who looses the last round will face a penalty (other versions will use a 15 minute penalty)

Hamilton & Michaelia would have lost more time going back for the passport than editing suggests.
It looks like Halifax's airport is a quick trip down the street, it's actually 30 km out of the city. So they may have been nowhere close to Nic & Sabrina.

Yes, at least an hour round trip by taxi.
But, how do you leave a passport on the plane? Did they actually put it in the pocket in the back of the seat ahead of them? Who does that?

Definitely sad to see them go so soon especially because they had potential to do so well! Even in this leg if it weren't for that they could have easily came in the top 3. But yeah they must have been at least an hour behind at the end.

Pretty upset with Hamilton & Michaelia being eliminated, especially when it was down to misplacing a Passport! I could definitely see them high on the list for the first All Star season. They had so much potential. :'(
I am rather confused however, on why Hamilton seemed to get into swimming shorts with no problem, however felt that the costume for the dance in Leg 2 was too revealing? I think he would've been wearing more during the dance? ???
I'm still don't like Gino & Jesse, although there was a moment when I took a weird warmth towards them in the episode, but I can't even remember what bit it was? :lol: But yea, if I do end up liking them it'll be the first ever "stereotypical athletic dominant MM" team I have ever ended up liking....... EVER! :lol:
Loved Dujean & Leilani winning this Leg, and the story about her parents was amazing. It felt like Leilani came full circle. :luvya:
One last thing.............. Have producers forgot about Simi & Ope? Are they even still racing? After Ope overcame his fear of heights / water in Leg 1, they've got little to almost zero airtime. You'd think editors would have started developing them in SOME WAY by now? :groan:

In regards to Hamilton it was probably to do with the amount of people and lack of confidence in the task too. I'd have no problem swimming in a pool but no way would I dance in that costume in from of a crowd (unless I was drunk) so I think it's more to do with body confidence as opposed to his transitioning.
