Previously on The Amazing Race Canada...
11 teams headed to Santiago, Chile where a RB had teams fly like a bird and a detour had them dress like one, which proved to be too much and too little for Hamilton & Michaelia, forcing them to use the EP. An uphill trek to the pit stop left Dana & Amanda breathless. Problems with cabs caused Gino & Jesse to fall from 1st to 10th narrowly escaping elimination. Susan & Sharn were eliminated.
10 teams remain.

Hamilton & Michaelia depart 1st at 3:46 AM. Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Brian & Cynthia - 4:37 AM. $250 US dollars for this leg of the race. Nick & Matt - 4:38 AM. Wrestlers got a taxi before Brian & Cynthia. Nic & Sabrina - 5:06 AM. Sabrina's city is in Buenos Aires! Dujean & Leilani - 5:13 AM. Neil & Kristin - 5:33 AM. Dana & Amanda - 5:34 AM. Brent & Sean - 5:37.
A dog stopped a taxi for Brent & Sean lol. Simi & Ope - 5:51 AM
Teams trying to ask Ham & Mich for the EP lol. Gino & Jesse departed at 6:07 AM.
All teams on the same flight. Proceed to Plaza Canada. When teams find the totem and learn the story it tells, they will receive their next clue.
Nic & Sabrina currently in 1st and using Spanish! Love it. Neil & Kristin 3rd. Nic & Sabrina first to totem.

RB: Spell the names of 4 famous Argentinians with Mentos candies. Locate 3 kiosks with marked packs of Mentos. Each person will have their own puzzle board. Use Mentos stamped with letters to spell out the name of 4 famous Argentinians with clues on a board.
Sabrina doing the RB. Sabrina says she has an advantage because she speaks Argentinian Spanish! :hearts: She got all the packs of Mentos.
Gino & Jesse currently in last. Their taxi driver doesn't know where Plaza Canada is. Simi & Ope just in front of Gino & Jesse.

Sabrina at La Boca Playground with the puzzle board and clue of the names. First clue: Argentina's first famous lady. Second: First pope from the Americas. Sabrina: "If you don't know who the pope is, READ A BOOK." LOOOOL. :lol: 3rd: La Boca's favourite soccer player. 4th: The king of tango. Sabrina knew the first 3 and asks for the last person.
Nick idk who is who is doing the RB. Dana doing the RB. They're working together.
Sabrina is missing 3 D's for the clue... She's not looking at the letters properly LOL.
Dana and the wrestler ask to see if this store owner knows where the Mentos are because the address is correct. Dana says she thinks something is suspicious and they start searching the entire store LOL. They realize it's just a different kiosk.
Dujean, Brent, and Ham or Mick doing the RB. Dujean and Brent working together. They have 1 pack.
Sabrina realized that there's no difference between a D and P for the mentos because they're lowercase letters HAHAHA. She's done in first. Proceed to Futbol Madero!

And we're back with Gino & Jesse asking for directions. They find the totem pole which is closeby. They got the clue. Simi & Ope found Plaza Canada on a map and got the clue.
Dujean and Brent working together to get the clues. They found 1 local who knew all the clues. Most teams filling out the clues. Dana and Nick working together. Hamilton working alone lol. Hamilton asks Neil for help. Cynthia totally rejects Hamilton and says that they've been working on it for way longer than him. k that clearly isn't going to help them get the EP lol. Ham & Mich not impressed.
Teams work together coach and player. Coach yell directions to blindfolded partner. Partner must slalom through cones and take a shot on net. If they score in under 1 minute, they'll receive their next clue. Nic was a professional soccer player at 19, wow!
Nic is blindfolded. Missed on 1st attempt. And 2nd attempt lol.
Gino & Jesse and Simi & Ope starting RB.

Dana running around frantically asking ENGLISH? ENGLISH? ENGLISH? lol. Dana and Nick done the RB. Dana done in 3rd, Nick in 4th. Nick asks if he can take some Mentos with him. Brian & Cynthia out in 4th, Neil & Kristin in 5th.
Dujean not approved because he spelled Maradona wrong. They had Moradona. They switch to an A and they're done. Dujean & Leilani in 6th, Brent & Sean in 7th.
Nic & Sabrina going for a 14th attempt. Other teams have arrived.
Hamilton asks help for the Pope clue. Jesse asking for a check. Done in 8th! Hamilton done in 9th.
Brian & Cynthia going for first attempt. Brian: Where's the ball? Cynthia: "Kick it to my voice!" Brian misses the ball completely lol.
Nick: "I said straight you gorilla!" Amazing.

Literally all the teams at football. Nic & Sabrina going for a 20th attempt. They've been here for hours and it's getting dark. Nic & Sabrina failed their 20th attempt. Sabrina said not even professionals can do it.

Not seeing the episode, but I guess the correct answers to the Mentos task are Eva Perón, Francisco (or Francis), Maradona and Carlos Gardel.

Neil & Kristin get the detour clue: Dance or Dine.
Dine: Teams serve asado, the national dish of Argentina. Teams will be server and chef. Chef has to memorize 12 dishes in Spanish. Server takes orders from 3 patrons, and relay to the chef who has to plate meals correctly, and send meals out to server.
Dance: Perform the tango. Change into traditional attire.
This is a limited stations detour and only 6 teams can do each at the same time.
Neil & Kristin and Gino & Jesse both doing dance. Gino & Jesse found out they're dancing with each other lol. Amanda was close but she missed the net.

Nick & Matt came up with a hopping strategy where they hop with the ball to do the slalom lol. Wrestlers done. Ham & Mich get it. Cynthia used the hopping strategy too. Simi & Ope done. Dujean & Leilani done. Down to Dana & Amanda and Brent & Sean.

Back at dine, Sabrina is trying to memorize the orders lol. Sabrina says her trick to memorize the orders it to get the patrons to repeat the orders to her several times... SEVERAL times... SEVERAL. :lol: Amazing. Sabrina told Nic the orders and everything was right! Sabrina starts reading the clue but Nic takes it and reads it instead. :lol: :lol: :lol: Pit stop: Puente de la Mujer Puerto Madero.
Sabrina says it'll be nearly impossible to do dine if you don't speak Spanish.
Simi & Ope arrive... Patrons start giving orders to Simi lol. Dujean & Leilani pick dance.

Dujean & Leilani arrive at dance. Neil & Kristin having trouble with dance. Kristin wants to switch detours. Neil & Kristin realize that if they leave, they can lose their stop because there are 6 teams already at dance.
Simi & Ope switching... Simi: "But what if it's full?" Uh oh. Dana & Amanda... I missed what they decide to pick lol. Oops. Maybe dance because there's a commercial. :lol:

Anyone else notice another editing mistake this episode? After Nic and Sabrina completed the detour and got their clue as they were reading it it said "Nick and Matt Currently in 1st place" beneath them!! Wrong team!!!

Neil & Kristin decide to keep going with dance. Simi & Ope and Dana & Amanda both turned back to dine because dance is already at capacity. Brent & Sean pick to do dine.

Kristin really frustrated. Neil & Kristin going for a 5th attempt. And they're done the detour in 2nd! Simi back at dine lol being a server. Brent and Dana serving.

Nic & Sabrina are team #8! Omg. Brian & Cynthia made it to the pit stop as Dana & Amanda were running across the bridge. Brian & Cynthia are team #9. Dana & Amanda are the last to arrive and they've been eliminated from the race omggggggg. Brian said that they represented their people and their province with honour. Cynthia said it's bittersweet because 2 police officers were eliminated. Dana & Amanda proud to be Canadian and be on the race.
Next time... Halifax, Nova Scotia. Looks like rapelling down a bridge or something. Some teams picking lobsters from a tank or something lol. Others forced to deliver the goods. AND A LOST PASSPORT?

Like, I get it, since this is TAR Canada, but still, we already have like 99999999 legs to see Canada's beauty, let the rare foreign legs shine on their own!

Glam leg, don't care about the nit-picking bits that are just filler. They are cute and I enjoy the connection.

Wasn't a big fan of this leg design-wise, but the teams definitely elevated it. Almost every team left is nice and/or stands out! <3

Actually, the connection is the thing that make FB fans stopping to complain about the race going abroad. Many of them only want the race being around Canada only.
And I actually find it very interesting. I feel like TARCAN putting the connection and also the sponser placement very effective.

If so we might have a hint for a final memory task.

Great! and looking again at the Buenos Aires clue I think that's the shape of the greater metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, not the whole country.

Those last few minutes were a great watch. I was rooting so hard for Dana&Amanda after Leg 2.
I actually enjoy the little connections here and there about how Canada is represented around the globe. It worked great in past seasons so I don't see the problem with it. The totem one was kinda week and could've taken less air time but we saw the teams reading the thing once and that was it.
I'm getting a bit tired of the dancing tasks in multiple legs per season but it was funny the reactions of the M/M teams to the idea of dancing together.
Neil&Kristin using clock directions and Nick&Matt hoping with the ball was genius, so simple but such an effective way to finish a difficult task. Can't believe Nic&Sabrina quit. I have a love/hate reaction to them, love them for speaking multiple languages but hate Sabrina's constant complain about her lack of fitness.
I gotta say the Obelisco tricked me, I thought the teams were running to see Jon at the pitstop and then boom we are just going to the detour... what? how is this leg not over? is already dark outside. I think regular TAR has spoiled TAR for me but that is a conversation for another topic.
