Just a thought. Not a wish, speculation, or prediction.
I want to ask RFF people for their opinions: Would a triads (teams of 3) season deliver well? ???
-
There were teams of three on a show called "Expedition Impossible". When compared to teams of two, it was "just okay" I think.

No.

I don't know about this. I mean... How would you do a majority of tasks?
I'd be a little more decisive if I had more information about how you'd format this. Don't want to start a fight...

Hmmm... ??? Family-season-like, but around the world?

No!!!

Nope.
I think a better idea would be just to bring back the intersection. See 2 teams of two work as teams of 4 for a challenge or two.

There was a show on ABC a few years ago called Expedition Impossible and it featured triad teams racing across Morocco. Although I loved watching the concept play out, I never really got to know each individual of the teams.
In TAR, I really love how duos are more verbal together. Three racers per team is likely to cause awkward (not in good way) third wheel issues in conversations.

I actually watched that show before I started watching TAR (Gypsies dominated everything and only lost one leg because they went too far lol)
It would definitely create third wheel problems, FAB3 or whatever they were called are a perfect example, the girl and one of the guys argued all the time and the third guy was like "uhhhhh" and he barely had screen-time.
I agree, Intersections>triad teams.

Detours I could see working well with three people. But what about Roadblocks? How would those work?

Family-season-like: 1 member on most, 2 sometimes.
