I would think so since the female in Leafsfan's pictures has a long ponytail (though she could have it swept over her left shoulder)

I am curious as to why the "PURPLE M/M" team is identified as purple. Is that because of the start line pic? IMO, I am not certain that is them. They look more like the ones wearing the black and white jackets.

So I naturally thought the name came from that start line pic :spy:, (I see a different team wearing purple) and I was just trying to stop some confusion.

For some reason, the guy on the right of team purple M/M looks familiar to me, but it could just be a coincidence.
Still, like most TAR seasons, I imagine there's probably that "pseudo-celebrity" team in there somewhere, but so far I don't recognize any of them :P

Remember I said the first team I saw run into the ACC on Saturday was m/f african-canadian with bright red t-shirts that were tall and fit? I think it may be the m/f african-canadian team from BC (BC flag on their backpacks underneath canadian one) that was just pictured in the photo by @ansepm in the live-sightings thread. With the blue backpacks. We have a few pics of them and they keep seeming to change shirt colours all the time. I'm not 100% sure but I think this is the case. So that reduces it to just 1 m/f african-canadian team instead of 2. I think...

There are two different m/f african canadian teams.
This photo shows the first one doing the dance task. The woman has long-blondish braided hair.

I don't think it's confirmed. The GianCarlo guy looks similar, but he is posting on social media.
Michael doesn't even have any tattoos or look like our racer... so the team as a whole is not a match imo.

Well, if he's popular enough on social media that fans would notice if he disappeared for a month, he could have a "ghostwriter" posting for him. Some past teams have done that.

Ya, even I am not sure about the match. A few slight differences. The big thing is just that giancarlo made the video for TARCan and this racer does look like it might be him. I would still hold it in the 'pretty sure, but not convinced until there are more pictures' file.
Giancarlo might not be racing with the guy he made the video with (Michael) and maybe that is why that video is still on youtube. just a thought.

That was my first thought when I saw that first pic, and I hope so too. I know from their actions casting was very aggressive this pre-season, (setting up impromptu "casting calls", recruitment "requests" on social media) so it's entirely possible. Of course, it is kind of hard to tell from those pics. They could also be Armenian or Middle-Eastern.

There are a couple of teams whose faces make me go "why do they look familiar?" but I can't think of who (mostly M/F Khaki Backpacks, Blue F/F, and M/F Brunette. Also M/F African-Canadian w/dreads could possibly be someone famous with incredibly styled hair like that).
Could just be a coincidental resemblance, though.

I overheard one of the Blue M/M talk about Sean, a member on a different team, during their post-leg interview. I really have no clue which team Sean is on. Sean could be a member on a team that was already eliminated for all we know!

I expect it to be Monday at the earliest, and will follow the same format as last year. A few teams per day. They have still not sent out their press release outlining the grand prizes. Last year, that release was sent out the day before the cast reveal began. But I will still check every day just to be sure! :cheer:

Yep, Mike was more specific today.
You were right, the first bios will be rolled out starting Monday, 3 per day. Just like they did last year :)

Oh no, it'll be today, but they're not going to release the bios until after the teams have appeared on TV. But of course, just to hold out a little longer, they put the first 3 on the only show of the 4 that isn't a morning show ;)
Etalk first airs at 6PM EST, which is still 5 hours from now. That's when you can expect the release.
Tues, Wed, Thurs, we'll have those teams by now.

All of the first 6 teams are from the eastern half of the country, which may indicate that they were going for an east/west split this season.
But then I remember we haven't seen the previously-identified wrestlers yet, whose wrestling bio says they're also from Toronto.

The casting team put in a real effort in the Maritimes this year, and I think it was due to all the complainers!

No they announced the wrestlers full names too: Nick Foti (a.k.a. Asylum) and Matt Giunta (a.k.a. Burns) and Matt's real last name is not Burns. They said their pro names are Asylum & Burns OR The Flatliners....maybe it was just in the press release??? Nick is also an Elementary Teacher, Matt is a Real Estate Agent.

I haven't checked all the threads but I don't believe this has been posted. I don't know what colour code these two are, but I think they are #11/#12 on the contestants list in the summary thread.
