There are lots of great tasks made up - but a lot of them end up being only good on paper and not on screen. Which tasks do you think had potential, but somehow failed to deliver due to lack of suspense, etc?
TAR 19 Leg 12 - Map/Route task
TAR 20 Leg 6 - Apple Detour option
TAR 21 Leg 7 - Tree of Love Roadblock
TAR 21 Leg 9 - Pole Vault Switchback
TAR 22 Leg 12 - Globe task
TAR 23 Leg 8 - Rapid Roadblock

TAR24 Italy Roadblock.
Helping killed the task's potential.

I put some thought into it myself, haha:
TAR 20 Leg 6 - The Apple side of the Detour where they had to look for a marked apple. It seemed a lot like the tomato challenge from TAR 10, but only like 2 teams did this challenge and they were both racing for last.
TAR 21 Leg 9 - The Switchback Roadblock!
TAR 22 Leg 12 - The Globe challenge
-
The globe challenge was really the most disappointing one.
-
TAR 17 Leg 12 - Greeter Memory Challenge
-
The globe challenge was really the most disappointing one.
I thought that was awful because it Was obvious that Bates & Anthony would win and the the same with S17 leg 12 Nat & Kat were first because they did that bungee thing first

TAR 19 Leg 12 - Map/Route task

Recently, I've noticed there's usually one side of a Detour that I think would've been great as an ARI or Roadblock. Biggest one being the Parking Space side on Leg 4 of TAR 25.
This could've been even better had it not been a challenge in a Detour.
Also, the Watermelon Stacking in TAR 20, Leg 3, comes to mind.

Kiev Ukraine S10- Make Music detour: the part that didnt deliver for me is that we didnt see alot of the teams rapping. When they showed the BQs rapp it made me smile (and it still does) Imagine this: the teams rapping in Atlanta as the final memory ROADBLOCK XD
-
TAR 21 Leg 7 - Tree of Love Roadblock - The teams were so spread out/far apart! Also, we were about to get an Abbie meltdown, but in this age of helping others on the Race ( :res: ), Brent (or Josh?) helped her complete that Roadblock.
-
I think a lot of tasks in TAR27 had potential but failed to deliver due to the linearity of the leg or the editing.
-
Imagine the TAR25 Pole Detour as a Roadblock :cmaslol
Potential Mass-quits <3

I miss mass-quits. :cmaslol

Tar 26 first leg detour...

Tar 26 first leg detour...
I agree. Had they changed it into Double Roadblock, it would be so much better.

Or, if the Sake detour was a roadblock instead while the World Order is still one of the detour sides or just an ordinary ARI.

Also 27's Rotterdam RB would be great if they had to search something related to Rotterdam, not finding a paint

Not really lol, it was a fun task! One of the best of that leg and simply because all teams were there at about the same time running to find the painting.
If anything the Ship Detour sucked. First-Come First-Served Detours :cmas11

I'm changing this to tasks AND teams. I was rewatching some Season 20 insider clips and it really sucks that Nary & Jamie underperformed. I can't tell if that's because they were weak on the Race or they just got put on a really competitive season.
-
I feel like the Miami blonde realtors that were eliminated first had a lot missed potential. I just liked how ultra-competitive they were and they were just screwed over by that compass roadblock. Imagine if they continued and became these entertaining villain characters :gaah:
-
Not a team nor a task, but TAR28's Leg 4 had a chance to be such a great leg. It was only that pit stop…
-
TAR 28 leg 6 roadblock
Armenia has many to offer than just changing taxi's oil in Armenian hill :res:

Lisa & Michelle <3 :torche
Production also probably tried to cast another bitchy all-female team later on for compensation I guess (Kelly/Shevonne) but they also got eliminated first so  :(
Agree though, both had potential to be fun villains! And if the latter beat out Justin & Diana and Tiffany & Krista also passed them, TAR27 would have been saved.

True. I was expecting something better than that for the Armenian leg.
-
It would have been a good task had it not been first-come first served TBH, other countries have had much worse tasks for a first-time visit. (Rope untangling in Indonesia for the first time hooray!)

Lisa & Michelle, one of the many awful first boots. Definitely had the potential to be a "fun-villain" team.

Tbh, I'm glad both teams got the 1st boot. :hides
