Guys I won't be around to do Live Updates of the show for the next 6 weeks, as I have classes on at the time unfortunately. :(
Hopefully someone else can take the helm on the updates during the show for the next few episodes.
I will be back to watching/updating live come Episode 9 in mid-November. :tup:

And we start with a recap of last week's episode.
Shows the first scene at Ri, and Exile Island was back at play.
At last challenge Julie beat her bf John
Coyopa continued their losing streak.
Back at camp, John found the II
John vowed to save Val.
And Josh switched his vote, Val voted out.
Night 6 in Coyopa. Baylor: I officially woke up from being safe in this game. She was close to being blindsided. She doesn't trust anyone, but is open to working with anyone.
John: I told her to play the idol, but she didn't do it.
Josh admits to flipping.
Josh realized that Jacyln and Val were voting for Baylor - which is crazy. Josh says Boys alliance, with Jacyln and Baylor as the next two to be targeted.
Now at Hunapu.
They are fixing their roof to protect from the rain. Except Drew, who had to take a nap - Missy.

Natalie wakes up Drew, and asks him to list what he has done. LOL.
Natalie: You don't feel like you need to pull your weight, he is a waste of space. Jeremy: He won't win a million.
Intro.

We are back: RI
Val voted out. Jeremy is pissed. Jeremy the men are taking over, and tells the women to take over.
John admits to trying to save Val. And Josh is surprised.
One person on beam, transfer squares from one end to the other wins. And 6 squares total to win.
The reward: Tarp, hammock, blankets, etc. Or fishing gear.
Wes is selected by Coyopa. (Jaclyn beat someone in the r/p/s)

Wes and Keith doing the challenge.
Wes has first square, Keith just got his.
Keith and Wes tied.
Wes has his second so does Keith
Keith is in the lead by a one-two steps.
Wes passes Keith.
Both have four, with Wes in the lead.
Wes saved it from the wind, Keith drops his.
Wes got his fifth.
Keith got his fifth.
Wes got his sixth!
Wes wins reward for Coyopa! Their first challenge win.
There is an emotional moment between Wes and Keith (both in tears)
Wes picks Josh to go with Keith to exile island
Coyopa picks the fishing gear for their reward over the comfort.
As they leave, John whispers I did everything I could I swear to Jeremy.

We are back, Jeremy throws John under the bus.
Natalie isn't sorry for Julie.
Julie cries in her confessional because she feels John is a target now.
AT EI
Keith gets the idol clue, Josh gets a blank piece of paper.
Keith says Jeremy is the only one in his way to find the idol.
The two are snacking on snails.
Keith: you don't see many Joshs in Louisiana.
John finds a catfish in the dark.
Baylor is trying to make a move and talking to the younger guys to vote out John

Baylor: think about the numbers. (She is talking to Alec and Wes)
Alec says we have a strong group of guys and we are gonna take the two girls out.

Divide in pairs and tethered. One pair races through obstacle course, then retrieve coloured ball and score. First to 3 wins.
Keith and Dale sitting out for their respective tribes.
Round 1:
Jon and Natalie vs Baylor and Josh.
J/N moving quickly. But the other two have the ball first.
Now they have to get back.
Jon misses and they have to get the ball. Jon scores! Hunapu leading 1-0
R2:
Wes/Alec vs Missy and Julie
Alec smashed right into Julie.
Coyopa scores tied 1-1
R3
Drew Reed vs John and Jacyln
John puts yellow into the lead 2-1
R4:
Josh baylor vs Jeremy and Kellie
Baylor shoots and misses.
Jeremy shoots and scores. 2-2
R5:
Wes/Alec vs Jon and Natalie
Natalie tackles wes lmao and then falls.
Jon shoots and misses, wes misses as well
Jon shoots and gets it, and HUNAPU WINS IMMUNITY!
Natalie calls John a racist omg! Very classy. Natalie says vote him off! Natalie says he is a bad sportsman.
John: I will knock you out if you were a man. Natalie I am not scared off you.

OMG didn't expect that much trash talk from Natalie - crazy.
I was happy that John went out, but glad he was humble about it, he respected it as a good move to Jeff and in his end of show interview.
Now that the dark drama cloud is gone, people can respect Julie as her own player/entity and maybe Coyopa will work well together. They do still have three strong dudes.

I've given it 3 episodes... and I'm bored.
* Lame reward challenges: I really hate the "loved one vs loved one" format. These are challenges that should be saved for after the merge.
* Too much "family" drama: When you decide to spend time on things like Julie upset about John, you take away time from other things.
* No "surviving": In seasons past, you'd see them struggle with food, fire, shelter. None of that this year.
* It might have been interesting to see Nadiya last longer than she did. I would've liked to see more of John; Survivor needs villains. Most of the cast seems to be bland.

I don't know how bad is John outside of the show but I don't think he is that bad in the show. I don't know but I don't have any favourite this season. I hate almost highlight contestant like Josh or Jeremy and other contestants are just boring or so invisible for me to love them.
I wanted John stay over some other contestants but it's OK. With him going, we might have screentime to see other contestants growing.

I didn't like him at ALL pre-game, but he's one of my favourites at the moment! Coyopa tribe has been crap since Nadiya and Val were booted, so I'm glad he's in a good spot over there. :wohoo:
