IMPORTANT! Even though we are a spoiler board, we do NOT want to have the episode spoiled while it is airing.

This will be more important than ever this season since Canada will be airing ahead of us any week we have Sports delays.

SO!! If you are watching anything but an EST US feed, it is your responsibility to be sure you are not ahead of us if you want to post/update in this thread. Other feeds may be way ahead of us.

SO PLEASE ** NO OUTCOMES ** to be posted before the show is done airing East Coast time!

Anyone breaking the rule is at BIG risk. :browsie:

And NO future spoilers either! And NO spoilers ever in the Contestant threads either.

Otherwise, come watch with us for the best weekly viewing party in town!! :party:

8 teams continued racing in Malaysia.

At the roadblock, Jessica got tons of blisters on her feet. The Afghanimals loved the nightlife at the Sky Bar and kept rocking at the detour. The cowboys became bartenders and won the leg.

Luke lost his cool, but it was Brenchel who needed a miracle... and got it with a non-elimination leg.

8 teams remain. Who will be eliminated next.

Caroline & Jennifer want to carry the Twinny vibe with them (meaning more fighting and bickering! :lala) and JJ and Globetrotters are following.

They end up on the same flight... w/o Margie & Lke and Brenchel.

Dave & Connor depart 2nd at 3:13 PM. Last time, this was the leg they self-eliminated on. They don't have a plan to do that this time.

Leo & Jamal depart at 3:40 PM. "The twinnies' motherland." Their taxi driver tells them to get to the airport to get their tickets.

Jet & Cord arrive at a flight agency. The quickest flight is tonight and arrives at 12:00 midnight. It's a direct flight. There's another flight going through Singapore but it arrives at the same time. Cowboys decide to get direct flight.

Caroline & Jennifer depart at 4:10 PM.

Jessica & John depart at 4:12 PM.

Flight Time & Big Easy depart at 4:40 PM. They say they haven't got any luck for 1st this race.

Dave & Connor are on the same flight as the cowboys, departing at 11 PM. All teams are on the direct flight arriving at midnight.

Margie & Luke depart at 5:12 PM. Luke says he wants to get the money for his mom. Aw.

Brenchel depart at 6:08 PM.

Brenchel arrive at the travel agency. They want to get on the same direct flight... but there are no more seats. Rachel says she'll take any flight. The other option is a transfer through Singapore. It's a 30 minute connection. Rachel is trying to convince the booking guy that they can make it.

Margie & Luke are at the airport. It's 10:15 PM. Margie asks to get on standby.

Brenchel are taking a huge risk. 30 minutes. :o

Margie & Luke are trying to see if they can get a connecting ticket through Singapore. Hey, look. Neobie trying to help. :waves: Margie & Luke decide to go on standby...

Brenchel arrive at the temple... but the temple won't open until 5:45 AM. Globes tell Brenchel the only people who weren't on the direct flight were Margie & Luke and Brenchel. All teams high fiving and greeting Brenchel.

Take a train to Galle and go to King Coconut Stand. All teams are proceeding to the train station, and all teams make it. Country singers say that they like being by the cowboys. Country singers say that one of their main goals this race was to be best friends with the cowboys. Flashback scene to the country girls fangirling over cowboys at the airport on leg 1, lol.

Margie & Luke finally getting on their flight.

And teams are jumping off of the train and going on taxis. It's chaotic.

Spin Conrol: Spin and perform a dance while spinning drum-like instruments.

Fishing: Dave & Connor, Jet & Cord and Jessica & John.
Spinning: Flight Time & Big Easy, Brenchel, Caroline & Jennifer and Afghanimals.

Flight Time & Big Easy going for an attempt. They should be good at this, lol. Wow! They're done the detour in 2nd.

Caroline & Jennifer going for a second attempt, but Caroline drops it.
Brendon drops.
Leo & Jamal finish the detour on their 2nd attempt. They're out in 3rd.

There's an ongoing demonstration. Connor and Big Easy are doing the roadblock. Jennifer is doing it? Caroline doing it? Still can't tell. :funny:

Big Easy: "I decided to do the roadblock... Worst decision ever." lol.

Jessica says that John is not a great dancer. Oh man. Not very good at all. :lol:

Leo & Jamal arrive at the roadblock. Leo is doing it. Jet is doing it. Leo says he's seen his mom doing this a bunch of times. Jet has never sewn before. "It's worse than a puzzle because all the puzzle pieces are... moving."

Jessica & John finish the detour in 7th. Margie & Luke are on the 2:25 train to Galle. Margie says she's proud of Luke for staying calm.

Jennifer is doing the roadblock. Got it. :lol: Jennifer and Connor are working together. Connor says it was great to work with Jen on the roadblock.

Brenchel still working on the speedbump.

An "agh" montage with Big Easy, Jet and Leo. Brenchel finish the speedbump. Brendon is doing the roadblock. Leo says he'll give 1000 rupies to get someone to do it for him LOL.

Connor is getting his shirt checked... It is not good. It's close, but there's a little hole I guess?

Jennifer gets her shirt checked, but there's a seam missing. John & Jessica arrive and Jessica is doing it. Jessica is very confused. She asks if you have to press the pedal and if there are needles lol.

Margie & Luke arrive at the pit stop and it's super dark. They're the last team to arrive and they've been eliminated. Aw. Luke says it's cool that they got to do the race for a 3rd time. Luke thanks his mom. Awww.

This episode has been an interesting a leg! Our long, lost friend named flight drama returned to the TAR screen to try and show what all-stars really is about. Too bad it wasn't as abrupt like Charla & Mirna getting on a last minute flight to Honolulu in ther final Leg, but it's good enough in comparison to the obviously lazy editors this season (seriously, they even got Joey & Meghan's flashback season wrong in the previous episode). An exclusive, greatly appreciated effort of Neobie trying to save Margie & Luke from falling too far behind the pack deserves a round of applause. However, even though the flight drama proved to be pretty refreshing, the rest of the Leg took a nosedive. Especially not showing which Detour Margie & Luke finished or showing who performed the Roadblock, most likely Margie though. Like I said earlier, lazy editors.

DETOUR: (Fish On Stilts or Spin On Stilts)
This Leg's Detour felt rather undeveloped for me. In both choices, there were major flaws that made me make some weird grimaces at the TV. In the traditional Sri Lankan dance, I felt like teams just had to spin 360` and do something similar to TAR17's plate spinning to get a marginal pass. I honestly didn't enjoy seeing this generic type of task. The stilt fishing had a great amount of potential, but seriously? Two fish whether the size of a krill? Instead of making the goal quantity, how about making the challenge to gather as MANY fish to reach 3-5 lbs? Like what Jet said, "I wish we had time to weigh it." :res:
DETOUR SCORE: 4/10

ROADBLOCK:
Sewing drove teams to insanity... not really. Only Flight Time had the guts to show off AKA "practice" his basketball spinning skills while in a factory. :lol: I felt this task was decent, but it was just boring to see Roadblock performers helping each other. Only Leo made the sewing actually seem more exciting. The sewing took a while, but people who have a good eye for detail stitched through it.
ROADBLOCK SCORE: 7/10

OTHER SCORES
LEG DIFFICULTY: 8/10
TRAVEL DRAMA: 8/10
SEWING HUMOR: 2/10
OVERALL SCORE: 6/10

Post by: Jimmer on March 23, 2014, 09:23:36 PM: I liked the flight drama a lot this leg, and it was very fun to see Brendon and Rachel taking a risk!

With respect to the leg itself, I liked both the Detour and the Roadblock itself and they kind of showed some drama, but I wish there would have been a difficulty spike to them though to make it All Stars worthy.

I also felt like that having Margie and Luke way behind hurt the episode a lot and made it very anticlimactic. If teams were battling for last at the Roadblock, I think it would be wayyyy more interesting.

Overall an okay leg for me. I felt like it had potential, if difficulty was spiked, but Margie and Luke really dropped the drama out of it.

But they might way behind and the edit just made us think that they are not too far behind (they went to the RB when Brenchel and Globetrotters still do the RB).

but from what it looks like the plane was probably delayed a bit...
how come you were still able to board when the gate was already closing?

I wish the Roadblock was also outdoorsy...

And is it just me but how well did Caroline & Jen did so far... I am kinda bumped that they were still in.

2nd place is the best result they have made (the best placement they got in season 22 was 3rd)
when they left the factory in 2nd , i was praying that they went on to win the leg
Being a fan of the country girls , i was amazed by their performance in the latest episodes

But this episode definitely delivered in Airport Drama and task drama, so I still enjoyed it.

Next week looks really fun though. :)

The detour is pretty okay to me. It was balanced... I guess. The spinning detour looks cool. I'm not a fan of fishies or fishing, but i really think that the detour is somewhat balanced.
The rb location was... familiar to me. It was the same location used in TARA4! :o Then I checked Wikipedia to make sure: I wasn't wrong.
I'm not a fan of CaroJen but I hoped that they would've won the leg. It was my first time (and definitely everybody else's) seeing them on a footrace for 1st, but I think Dave & Connor deserved this leg. CaroJen should've won the previous leg, too bad there were assigned flights.
Margie & Luke: :torche At least they left the race with a good reputation, by keeping calm this time around. :)
I don't know what flaws I can point out this leg. So far, it's one of the best legs.
No W-turn on preview? :(
