With the new end-city, i though it could be funny to list end-cities, with tasks and finish line here!!!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
-
Seattle: Pike Place Market, The first Starbucks. Finish line could be Space Needle.
Chicago: Jazz Clubs, Chicago Theater. Finish line could be Soldier Field or Wrigley Field.
St. Louis: Jewel Box, Busch Stadium, Saint Louis Zoo. Finish line could be Gateway Arch.
Boston: Fenway Park, Harvard. Finish line could be Charles River.
Philadelphia: Liberty Bell, Philadelphia Museum of Art. Finish line could be Philadelphia City Hall.
Miami: American Airlines Arena, Miami Tower. Finish line could be PortMiami.

I think a great finish for Boston would be the Lexington Battle Green (Lexington Common). In Lexington, MA which is about 10-20 minutes outside of the city.
-
Houston, with a start at the Astrodome, which is closed. South to Galveston, Pier or Bishop's Palace (home), is Busch Gardens still there. Small Hobby Airport for a connecting flight.
North to Battleship Texas, San Jacinto Battleground, Bush Airport.
Or start at Hunstville, Texas. Statue of Sam Houston, or the Prison Rodeo, south to Bush Airport.

Love Wrigley Field, but don't know what anyone can do at the Chicago Theatre as Europe covered everything there is to do in a theatre. A route info there would be okay though. The Willis Tower (formerly Sears) would be a great panorama view for a clue box. They could go to "The Bean", nickname for the Cloud Gate as a route info.
Nashville: Country Music Hall of Fame, Centennial Field, Hidden Acres Animal Farm, Fort Nashborough, Fort Negley, Belle Meade Plantation

Isn't this just basically another wishlist thread? :S

I'd like to see a New Orleans finish to be honest, A leg there could be great!

Maybe a city where they have to drive to, not giving them any directions and not allowing them to ask people.
-
Chinatown in NY :hrt:
-
Concord, NC would be nice
-
Denver, Colorado with a PROPER final Leg... with no Alaska or Hawaii BS.
-
:groan: LA

:groan: LA
Or you could turn it half full by calling it Louisiana! :conf:
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, or Lake Charles, you name the city.

First off, let me say I am all for having some new and different end cities. Start cities too. Also, there is nothing wrong with having a wish list of cities for either the start or end of a TAR. Now, having said that, we also have to realize that TAR is a "made for profit" television production.
As far as WRP goes, they have had a set of parameters, since TAR1, that they have followed for end cities/finales. What are these parameters? Can you name them? Why does WRP use these parameters?
Now having determined what requirements that WRP operates under, which cities fit into the pattern of an end city/ finale location?

Okay, so someone's mentioned Houston. I also think Houston's well overdue for a Finish Line on Amazing Race.
They could start by flying to Dallas and end up driving to Houston.
Dallas/Arlington portion: Cotton Bowl (Active Route Info - arrange footballs in the order of the countries visited on the race), Dallas Cowboys Stadium or International Bowling Hall of Fame (DETOUR - 2 Minute Drill or 300 Game)
Houston portion: Reliant Park/Reliant Stadium (Roadblock - Who's cleared for liftoff? [Build a scale model of the Challenger and launch it 1000 feet to the main entrance of the Astrodome]), Johnson Space Center (Finish Line)
