Will Cupid finally shoot an arrow into the lonely heart of Raj?
EW has confirmed that The Big Bang Theory has cast a possible love interest for Kunal Nayyar’s alter-ego.
It’s Kate Micucci!
As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the actress from Fox’s Raising Hope will join the CBS comedy for several episodes as Lucy. She’ll make her first appearance on, appropriately enough, the comedy’s Valentine’s Day episode. The episode is titled “The Tangible Affection Proof.”
The promise of love for Raj started last July at Comic-Con, when Executive Producer Chuck Lorre teased that the character could be getting a galpal. “But don’t cheer yet,” Lorre told the crowd. “Wait til you see it.”
Micucci’s other credits include When in Rome, Suburgatory, and Bored to Death.

Season finale is this Thursday! I can't wait! What did you all think of this season? I have to say that the show is keeping strong with very good ratings. It is the number 1 show for the night and its timeslot. Past couple episodes have been keeping good ratings for this time of the year with 15-17 million viewers (March-May) versus 12-13 million (March-May) last year. Plus with the DVR ratings, the show has about 20 million and more viewers per episode! The show really got a big bump this year with more viewers. :hoot:

I really like this show but the current season for me is a little disappointing. It's not as funny as it used to be. There are hardly any physics or comicbook jokes and what I realy hate is the development of Penny's character. Lately the only time we see her is when she is holding a glass (or a bottle!) of wine and talks for 20 seconds to Leonard.

They were funny when they weren't having all those social scenes with other people and interactions with the ladies.

I agree! The larger the cast gets (with addition of more ladies and even sheldon's secretary), the quicker the episodes seem and they don't focus on one thing as much and it can be confusing and less funny sometimes.

Leonard, a warning: Mom's coming for a visit.
"The Good Wife" star Christine Baranski has signed on to return to "The Big Bang Theory" for an early Season 7 episode in her role of Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) socially-challenged genius mother Beverly, TVLine reports.
Baranski's last appearance on the CBS' hit comedy was in Season 5's premiere, where she popped up via Skype to advise Leonard on his love triangle with Penny and Priya.
When she shows up in the Oct. 10 episode, it'll again be through Skype, as Baranski's "Good Wife" duties make it hard for her to leave the East Coast. While it's unclear what brings Beverly into the fold this time around, TVLine teases that, given her hilarious and bizarre connection to Jim Parsons' Sheldon, fans shouldn't automatically assume it's Lenard she's hoping to see.
"The Big Bang Theory" returns for Season 7 with back-to-back new episodes on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Big Bang Theory Season 8 premieres next Monday, September 22, 2014, 8/7C on CBS!
The show will temporally move to Monday nights due to Thursday Night Football but will return to Thursdays starting with October 30.

according to tvguide.com, the Big Bang Theory Season 8 premiere will broadcast two episodes (back-to-back) Monday 22nd. not sure why :snicker:

The early seasons were a lot better, the nerd humor was really something special. But once they started focusing on the friends having relationships was when it lost a lot of its edge. I wish Zack (former Amazing Racer, Brian Thomas Smith from Season 7) got more episodes, he was actually one of my favorite characters.
Best part of the series finale was how the elevator finally got fixed.
