I just recently started watching Survivor and this season, and I had a question for all you veterans about strategy. What's the best way to go about getting votes in the Final 3? If Kim is the one who engineered all the guys being voted out, would she be shooting herself in the foot in the end because all the guys would be mad at her and give their votes to someone else? Or would they respect her for playing a strategic game?

It all depends on how the jury sees it. In case of Kim, he engineered it but no in a harsh way like Russel Hantz of previous season.

I always wondered if it was the best idea to engineer all the vote-offs, but I think winning Survivor depends on two things: who you take with you to the final and what the mindset of the Jury is.
I think the most surefire way to win Survivor is to play an honest game, even if you engineer vote offs, and be careful to choose people to go with you to F3 who the Jury will not vote for over you.

Alicia is turning on Kat now because she tries too hard on the challenges. Kim isn't really on board with that, she still kind of likes her. Kim wants Sabrina out.
Chelsea is still pressing Kim to turn on Kat but she says they will vote for the same person no matter what.

Interesting stuff. I wonder if they should have just kept Kat around. It's not like she was going to take over the game. Also interesting that the jurors perceive that Kim made that decision when she really was persuaded by Chelsea and Alicia.

I've been liking Kim less and less in the last one or two episodes. :( While she's a great strategist, I don't think she has been making the wisest moves as of late. :groan: Still enough time to salvage her game, but she has bumped down to third on my Favourite's list, behind Chelsea and Sabrina. :knuckles:

I guess whether or not Kim will win this game depends on whether the jury are petty members. She did engineer their eliminations, but that's what it takes to be a Survivor isn't it. And she didn't do it the Russell Hantz way. If she could justify her game plan, I still believe she could win.

I think this was Kim's worst move, that is, approving of the blindside. The jury will dislike her even more and that will pave the way for Chelsea to be more appreciated by the jury when it's Kim, Chelsea and Alicia in F3. What comes around goes around, Kim!! Right now I can't see Kim getting the mill but only time will tell!
