I think they're upgrading everything they can to freshen the look for HD, and to use technology more in the process. I suspect if the pit stop location sign returns next time (and maybe the clue boxes) they'll have been freshened up as well.

I like the Double U-Turn sign. It is hilariously and absurdly huge and the iPads/tablets are kinda cool.
And I can see that they freshened up the in-Race Route Markers, but the lack of a new opening credits sequence is a let down, especially for the 10th anniversary. I was hoping/wishing/praying/expecting the new opening to be like TARAu's opening, with TARAu's on-screen look (fresh graphics, using Microgramma instead of Bank Gothic as the font, completely CGI/non-Google/Bing map) a preview of what to expect from TARUS.

I think the original U-turn sign will be back. They just made new race marker stands to fit with the no cluebox theme. :lol:

It's OK to have U-Turn on back-to-back legs! If Amani & Marcus get to know they were U-Turned by Laurence & Zac:
A) Laurence & Zac's boat will sink while Marcus laughs evily.
B)They get U-Turned twice in the Danish leg.

I'm not sure that they used iPads -- the iPad only comes in one size and there are definitely two different size screens. Maybe one iPad and something else?

I don't think they're iPads either. But none of them. Why spending so much in a thing that is seen less than a minute in one of the episodes if Apple isn't a sponsor? Not iPads,definitely, IMHO.

There are a multitude of tablets out there on the market but since it didn't seem to be a sponsor they were probably just generic touch screen monitors.

Definitely not Sumsung Galaxy Tab... it doesn't look like the one I owned. It's so huge.
What I didn't like is when you click on the image on the screen, the image doesn't ZOOM IN to show who has been U-TURNed???? Or the team who has utilized the U-TURN?? :duno: :duno:

I'm wondering why Laurence and Zac decided to use the U-Turn on the bottom of the sign, instead of the one at the top.

I can think of a few possibilities.
1. Laurence doesn't really look like the tallest guy.
2. No matter your height, you don't have to lift your arms as much for the bottom one.
3. They like breaking conventions.

Agree. It created more suspense. Now, it's just like click, click and it's over. :(
And we don't see the pictures as well too. They seem to be darker.
