Phil Keoghan will embark on a 10-city tour starting Feb. 3 in Los Angeles and culminating on Feb. 18 in New York City to promote the launch of the new season of THE AMAZING RACE: UNFINISHED BUSINESS, which premieres Sunday, Feb. 20 (8:00PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
During his upcoming tour, Phil will HOST screenings of his feature-length documentary film, "The Ride," which follows his 3,500-mile bike ride that he took from Los Angeles to New York City. Joining him on this grueling, 40-day adventure were his wingman Ben, best friend Scott, a former California Highway Patrolman, and his father (who you might remember from Season 14).
Phil's coast-to-coast journey also generated more than $500,000 for the National MS Society through local outreach.

Well, it's a good thing that Phil's crew and Regal aren't planning a showing here on the 3rd. The latest discussion from the local weather service office is that a winter storm is likely to be on our doorstep by then and it may take the form of a blizzard. (If so, it'd be the second one this winter.)

I have just finished watching The Ride.
I had watched the start (hi Kent and Vyxsin!!), seen every day's clips as it happened, and was at the finish in NYC to cheer Phil in.
And still, seeing this is so much more than I could have imagined.
I had goosebumps by Nevada, was in tears by the Continental Divide, and was on the edge of my seat all the rest of the way.
This is an amazing story of camaraderie, adventure, friendship, and a mission to raise $$ for MS.
The photography is superb, the visuals are incredible, and the story is wonderful.
DO whatever you need to do to see this...if you can't make it to one of the showings, do as I did and watch it from Amazon, or purchase it on iTunes.

Ooohh, its so tempting to order this and watch it now, but I am trying to be patient so I can see it for the first time on the big screen (Im going to the NYC showing on 2/18). Sadly, patience and self control are not my strong suits.

Hello Everyone! First time poster here. Just attended last night's premier of Phil new movie at The L.A. Live theater. I was amazed how tall Phil is in person and how nice he is to everyone at the premier. He stops for anyone to take a picture with him. I was so surprised that not only Kent and Vyxsin showed out (they are so nice, they even offer to hold my poster that I bought before the show so it won't get damaged in the theater.) but Kat, Nat, Zev and Justin also were there for the premier. The movie was great, it was funny, tense, and uplifting. I plan to watch it again on Amazon.com. Here are some pictures that I took.

I went to the last showing of "The Ride" in NYC last night and it was fabulous! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. It will make you laugh, it will make you cheer and the commitment and dedication Phil shows is really inspirational and motivating. (After seeing this film, it will be impossible to whine during a Spin Class)
Phil was there, ofcourse. As was his wife, Louise, uncle and a few friends, including Ben, his "Wingman". I sat directly behind Phil and Louise and it was interesting to watch their reactions. Phil was charming and friendly in person, pretty much as you would expect. He did a quick intro, then a Q&A afterward. He also spent some time signing autographs and taking pictures. Ofcourse, my camera wasnt charged properly, so I didnt get many pics. However the friends that I was with took some, so hopefully I will get copies.
The only former Racer I saw was the always wonderful and charming Terrance.
Phil did mention that the film will be coming out on BlueRay in the near future. But dont wait until then, check out this film now. It will make you feel good.

Phil was great! He came in, spoke in front of the audience and did some Q&A for about 15 minutes (I took a video so at least I could go back and listen, but the theater was dark so the video quality is poor), introduced his lovely wife Louise, his riding partner Ben and his wife, and then told us to enjoy the film. And then he was off, back to his hotel (http://twitter.com/#!/PhilKeoghan/status/63103634489090048). By now, he's probably on a red-eye to Atlanta to go see Peach!

I assume you are one of the 22 people who already watched the video? Phil is quite humorous, but he did spoil part of the film for us in his talk beforehand, so a NOTE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO WATCH "THE RIDE" - SPOILER ALERT! Don't watch my video if you haven't seen the movie!

And not only that, but many of us here followed the web stream that they did daily while they were riding. So we knew the story, but how this has been filmed and pulled together is breathtaking. Awesome and inspiring!!

Sadly Phil didnt make it to Dallas when the film was shown here. He had to be in NYC for the morning shows to do promotion for that filming the next night after Dallas.

The most special for me was getting to see it for the second time at the Miami showing which wrapped up the Tour. Loads of racers, Phil, and the hardworking MS team. Great memory!

Additionally, they'll see Keoghan and his team meeting countless individuals who are living with the crippling disease and the thousands of dedicated MS volunteers and citizens who came out to show their support.
Starting out as a film camera assistant 25 years ago, Keoghan has worked in more than 100 countries around the world as an actor, author, speaker, television host, producer and director. His work has earned him numerous awards, including eight prime-time Emmy(R) Awards as a producer and host of the hit CBS series The Amazing Race, premiering its 20th season on Sunday, February 19 at 8 PM ET/PT.
The premiere of THE RIDE on SHOWTIME is a celebration of Keoghan reaching his $1 million mark for MS fundraising.
