'Idol's' Adam Lambert accused of violent attack on paparazzo, could face jail time

"American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert was accused of violently attacking a paparazzo following him on Miami Beach Thursday, and could face a misdemeanor battery charge, TMZ reported Friday.
The alleged victim was taking photos of Lambert from 20 feet away when the tank top-clad singer snapped, according to the police report.
"The subject wrested the victim to the ground forcefully," the report read.
"A crowd began to gather and the suspect fled toward the boardwalk."
If convicted, the 28-year old singer could be sentenced to one year in jail with a $1,000 fine. The alleged victim was not injured.
Lambert responded Friday that he was not guilty of any crime.

One minute you're throwing out peace sings while lounging at the beach in Miami and the next you're delivering a slap-and-grab on a pesky photographer. All in a day's work for 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert!
"Eeew paparazzi killed my peaceful afternoon on the beach!" the singer, 28, told his Twitter followers Thursday. "They're real good at provoking, but there ain't any pics or video of the bs they spew out."
No, but there are plenty of images of Lambert slapping, grabbing and damn-near mounting the photographer, who is seen trying to escape the grasp of the singer while holding onto his camera.

The stress of fame can be really hard. I feel awful for those people that the paparazzi harass. Some people are just not cut out for fame. I hope he is not homeless now. A man with such a beautiful voice should not be out on the street. I thought he deserved to win over Chris, but you can't change what happened. You think with a voice like that he would have a mansion with swimming pools (http://www.familyleisure.com/Above-Ground-Swimming-Pools) and servants.

I don't buy the rumor he is homeless. He sure has been hitting the talk show circuit with his grammy nomination. He should have won over Chris but he will do better than Chris in the long run. His voice is fantastic. He can also make money in various faucets of the arts.
