Well, my excitment kinda went away because I found out that Wii games are not region free. I will only be able to play if they release the game in Europe and I doubt it will happen   :(

For the record, this has been in the works for a long time. i have tried to  contact Ludia via email with no success and I couln't even get them to answer there phone. I'm hopeful for a good product, but skeptical.

And to top it off i have an Xbox 360, not a WII.

The law babes that managed to overthink "Walk to the Pit Stop"

They saw their error while in a cab, and decided that the walk part meant they had to walk while at the actual location of the Pit Stop (ie- No running)

Thanks for the pic and link, georgiapeach.  I didn't follow this thread until today.

I noticed that the tiny picture of the cover, in the pre-order link that you posted, was different, so I found a bigger version:

It'll be interesting to see who makes the final cover.  

Jaime & Cara, Mark & Michael, and Jet & Cord look to be set.

My brother has the Wii in the family. He plays that thing more than I do. I'm not huge on video games.

The location varies from game to game. The tasks are pretty much the same. I don't know how to Wikipedia it though.  :'( :-[

CASH OUT - In Cash Out, you are supposed to calculate the total value of the notes and coins shown on the screen, and choose 1 correct answer out of the 4 options.

CLOSE-UP - In Close-Up, you are supposed to find the section of the picture that contains the close-up(shown on the left). Each mistake gives you a penalty.

CONNECTION - This challenge tests your connectivity. Using 4 given sections, choose the correct one out of 4, to find the missing connecting piece in the puzzle.

FAST FORWARD(Challenge) - Answer these questions about Landmarks and Geography. Score 3+ points to earn a 2-hour time bonus.

MATCHING - Match the correct pictures with another of the same picure to win this challenge.

PATHFINDER - In Pathfinder, find your destination by taking all of the turns in your path.

PLATES - Clean these stacks of dirty plates until you find the plates that contain the indicated symbol. Teams are allowed to change plates at any time.

RALLY - Follow all the rally directions to find your final destination. Skip any step that you cannot complete.

RUSH HOUR - This task tests your mathematical ability and speed. Count the number of vehicles of the types that are displayed above. Then solve the equation using the given operators.

SCALES - Using three given scales, find the heaviest object.

SKYDIVING - Count to the target time and then open your parachute. The closer your time, the better your result.

SNAPSHOT - Pick out the matching snapshots from the moving conveyor belts. After 3 errors, the snapshots are hidden.

SPOTLIGHT - Follow the moving spotlight to uncover the contents of the hidden picture. Choose the object that appears MOST OFTEN. Each mistake gives you a penalty.

TOMATINA - Throw tomatoes at your target.

I bought the iPod Touch Version and I played 2 times. I have done extremely well, although I do admit, I played on 'EASY' difficulty on both occasions.

My first run was with the 'Rockers' Cat & Ingrid:

Leg 1: Santiago, CHILE -> Honolulu, USA (1st place)

Leg 2: Honolulu, USA -> Nassau, BAHAMAS (1st place)

Leg 3: Nassau, BAHAMAS -> Moscow, RUSSIA (1st place)

Leg 4: Moscow, RUSSIA -> Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA (1st place)

Leg 5: Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA -> Beijing, CHINA (2nd place - that darn Military team beat me by two minutes!!! :cmas28 )

Leg 6: Beijing, CHINA -> Auckland, NEW ZEALAND (5th place - I guess it's safe to assume I misread the instructions on the Roadblock... :cmaslol )

Leg 7: Auckland, NEW ZEALAND -> Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (1st place)

Leg 8: Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES -> Delhi, INDIA (1st place)

Leg 9: Delhi, INDIA -> Stockholm, SWEDEN (1st place)

Leg 10: Stockholm, SWEDEN -> Cairo, EGYPT (1st place)

Leg 11: Cairo, EGYPT -> Santiago, CHILE (1st place - $1,000,000!!! HOORAY!!!!) (The Students? F/F team came second by about 15 minutes, and the third team was about 7 hours behind, lol! :cmas30: :cmas22 )

My second attempt was with the Gothic team, 'Cassandra & Vincent':

Leg 1: Cairo, EGYPT -> Stockholm, SWEDEN (1st place)

Leg 2: Stockholm, SWEDEN -> Honolulu, USA (1st place)

Leg 3: Honolulu, USA -> Mexico City, MEXICO (4th place - the first time I tried 'Tomatina', I did VERY poorly! :mas25 )

Leg 4: Mexico City, MEXICO -> Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA (1st place)

Leg 5: Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA -> London, ENGLAND (1st place)

Leg 6: London, ENGLAND -> Bangkok, THAILAND (1st place)

Leg 7: Bangkok, THAILAND -> Sydney, AUSTRALIA!!!! :cmas9 (1st place - I have to win in my home city, lol :cmas27 )

Leg 8: Sydney, AUSTRALIA -> Nairobi, KENYA (3rd place - I picked a bad flight to save some money for the last three legs)

Leg 9: Nairobi, KENYA -> Beijing, CHINA (1st place)

Leg 10: Beijing, CHINA -> Rome, ITALY (1st place)

Leg 11: Rome, ITALY -> Cairo, EGYPT (1st place - $1,000,000 - Cat & Ingrid came second by just six minutes! Third place was the Military Couple and they were about 45 minutes behind)

Well, I guess it's safe to say that I mastered 'Easy' level! Tomorrow it's time to give the 'HARD' one a crack! I'm sure I won't win 9/11 legs on that difficulty! :cmaslol

I think that the game is pretty decent. I'm very disappointed that they aren't releasing an Australian version on Wii, as I was looking forward to it, but the iPod Game is fun too!

My favorite element is the unpredictability of the NEL legs. In my first attempts, the NELs were in Leg 3 (9 teams) and Leg 6 (7 teams), whereas my second attempt placed the NELs in Leg 6 (6 teams) and Leg 9 (4 teams).

I just wish there were some U-Turns or at least some Yields, as that would certainly make things more interesting! Also, you can claim BOTH Fast Forwards in this game, and sometimes, you still do a Detour/Roadblock afterwards.

I got the wii game for Christmas :cmastree

Its kinda weirdish but its fun!!

The first time I played it with my brother and we sucked majorly!

Our Placements

Leg 1 (Rome, Italy --> Buenos Aires, Argentina) - 10th Place

Leg 2 (Buenos Aires --> Caracas, Venezuela) - 7th Place

Leg 3 (Caracas --> New York City, USA) - 8th Place!

Leg 4 (New York City --> Vancouver, Canada) - 8th Place and Eliminated

I was eliminated at the RB with the 1hr penalty because the plate roadblock was 3-2  :cmas28 stupid orange team!

I dont know the actual teams but there are colors and stuff I have recognized the Models? Rockers? Cat & Ingrid and Michael & Tania the military team.

I have it, it's not as good as he's describing it, but it's pretty fun. The race is too easy though. I win no matter what setting I put it on. (This is the Wii version I'm talking about.)
