So they went to Cape Town and someone found a red and yellow marked flag on Rhodes Memorial?  I'd found an info on that place via wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhodes_Memorial

BTW, since someone said here that there's a sighting of some TAR 14 contestants found in Frankfurt, I know that there's a flight connection between that city to Cape Town thru Lufthansa which that same airline company also been used by the 3 remaining teams of Amazing Race Asia 2 when they'd raced to Cape Town after the 2 Hungarian legs but they'd had a connecting flights on Frankfurt.  Hmmm, and probably if ever, they'll might copy some of the tasks that are found on TARA 2 on the Cape Town leg episode there like one on the sand dune thing which is my favorite part on that episode.  So, what do you think?

Okay one more for today,

I can't be any more definite than this, but I have received some information that suggests that there is a possibility of TAR filming in Vietnam on 11/6, 7, and 8.

So, I ducked out of work early to do marking at home. On the way out from campus I took this pic. Apologies for quality, but cell phone and perplexed security guard meant I didn't get close enough.

You have to be a member to see it (:;)
Anybody care to join that board to get a look at it?

Well, obviously they can't be both in Romania AND in Cape Town on 11/4-5....

I'm still thinking those Cape Town flags are awfully big...

Hey all, batchick from the SA forum here. Given the info from Romania, the Cape Town stuff does look a bit suspect. The flags were big, but I thought that maybe they needed to be that large as its a pretty unobvious road.
Would be great if they were here, Cape Town is an awesome place, but the romania link sounds much more likely now.

I hope whoever's put up those big markers got permission from the Race. Aren't those colours trade marked or something? I know we have quite a lot of companies organising their own races for fun (hell, our forum even did a couple of years back), but generally people steer clear of using official colours.

Dammit, we were excited this side - esp since yesterday was such a beautiful day. I thought it might be possible as South Africa's trying to get on every programme at the moment to push the location ahead of the 2010 Football (Soccer) World Cup.

Oh :welcome2: batchick!! Hope you will forgive us for shamelessly  :-[ stealing your beautiful picture--we were so excited! :jumpy:

The colors are right, and I don't think they have a monopoly on them--we see Corporate faux Amazing Race groups using them all the time.

The thing that bothers me is the size--they tend to use smaller more discrete ones  around towns...

It would be wonderful if we could find out WHY those flags were there--do you think someone at the University would know? Maybe the newspaper?

We would have loved it if it was us though--it has been too long since they were there! Although there is a small possibility that TARAsia was there in early June... ;)

The odds of finding out any more are pretty slim. Its weird though, as according to my friend who went for a jog there last night, there was defs something TV related happening: 'Not sure how much you saw but I ran up to Rhodes Mem after work yesterday (around 6:15pm) and it definitely looked like the pitstop. There were many banners and a camera set up as well as a camera truck and production people etc. We weren't allowed into the Rhodes Mem paved area but the pitstop area was near the road so you could see in. The spotlights were on so they were still expecting people but I didn't see Phil anywhere and while I was running up and down the hill, no cars with camera people passed me (although there was one closed Budget rent-a-truck ...) I think it's likely that they finished the leg during the afternoon and that the contestants were in their 12 hour rest period. That would explain the lack of urgency (and low security) as they are basically just waiting for the first contestants to leave again at 3am or something.'

We don't go through that kind of level of TV set up for anything else really. We do shoot a lot of international commercials and movies around here, but they'd not have the colours.  Other than TAR Asia are there any other international TARs around?

I'm confused batchick...

Were those banners in the picture we saw at the entrance to Rhodes Memorial or at one of the University entrances?

This from a blogger in Cape Town:

Then I realized what I was seeing. A couple ran up and put on a pair of overalls and boots and then began to attempt to match the "dance" of these performers. The finished and passed a hat around the crowd for tips. After they had enough tips they were handed a yellow envelope with a clue inside . . . yep I saw the filming for the Amazing Race! This Amazing Race is being done by Israel and they were here in Cape Town and I saw them - FUN!! I also was able to watch a second couple come in shortly after the first couple and they also "earned" their envelope. Wow!

So it looks like 2 TARs running at the same time!

Teams and their camera crews were seen in Hong Kong on the evening of November 11th collecting their clues from a clue box on a pier by the harbour. I saw four teams come through while I was there.

IA with puddin in thinking that it's TAR isreal or w/e it's called, but just thought i'd post it here too.

Have a feeling too, that this belongs in TAR: Israel, but it doesn't hurt spoiling an extra race!

Given how the teams are grouped so closely, I'd say they've just arrived in Hong Kong and are separated by the flights they took. Managed to find a timetable of landings in Hong Kong last night on the airport website; put flights arriving 75 minutes apart side by side (one line represents one minute in the chart), and here's what we have:

(http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/3830/flightsintohongkongio5.th.jpg) (http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/3830/flightsintohongkongio5.jpg)(http://img511.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif) (http://g.imageshack.us/thpix.php)

These combinations don't look that good for transfer flights. The only ones begging for an investigation are Kaohsiung/Taipei/Taichung and Kuala Lumpur/Bangkok. Bangkok has a couple of matching pairs, but there are always other options landing between two corresponding flights. One pair of flights, though, kinda stands out.

6.42pm on 5J118: Manila
7.56pm on CX918: Manila

Flights arriving 74 minutes apart; sightings 75 minutes apart. What do you guys think?

Background information: The Airport Express takes 21 minutes to get from the airport to Hong Kong Station, 3 minutes walk from Central Pier. Trains run every 12 minutes. A taxi would take approximately the same time, maybe even longer, especially in the evening rush hour across the harbour.

Yes, indeed it could. Michael is correct! Why not AR14 in Hong Kong? The timing is right. AR14 has to finish around Nov. 20 to 22, so having Hong Kong as the halfway point makes sense to me. I expect that teams could enjoy time in Malaysia or Indonesia, but particularly Australia and New Zealand, each of which could have multiple legs.

My guess is that it goes something like this(with 12 legs because there ar reportedly 12 teams):

Locarno
Salzburg
Romania
Somewhere in Asia
Somewhere Else in Asia
Hong Kong
Bali
Alice Springs, Australia
Canberra, Australia
Christchurch, New Zeland
Wellington New Zealand
U.S. Finish

Neobie, I think you have done a valiant attempt but have narrowed your focus more than is necessary. I decided to widen the time range of how apart each of two flights needs to be, mostly to qualify flights that are slightly less than on hour apart. Another problem with your analysis is the assumption that it takes no time at the airport for teams to make it to tranportation. Even though the teams have carrry-ons, the cameras and sound equipment have to be checked, so retrieving them takes time and possibly customs would add to that. I think about 45 minutes would be needed at HKG for AR14 units of 2 members, one cameraperson and one soundperson to disembark.

Here is what I found using today's (admittedly not yesterday's like you used) schedule of actual arrivals into Hong Kong. If you do it that way and make the resasonable assumption that these cities are large enough to have daily service to Hong Kong(not a few times a week), here are the cities from which flights could have originated and landed in the 5pm to 7pm time frame:

Taipei 522pm, 605pm
Bangkok 503pm, 628pm
Shanghai 518pm, 605pm

The incoming flight should logically be from anywhere in eastern or central Asia and I expect the outgoing flight maybe 2 days later to be going south.

Apparently #9 is a generic public pier (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Piers) with no outlying connections. A Lamma restaurant uses the pier for a free shuttle (http://www.rainbowrest.com.hk/english/general-transportation/default.asp), but that's all I could find. Although they'll probably use taxis, it's only an 8 minute walk from the MTR (8:24, to be exact : go here (http://www.walkme2.com/index.php) and search for "Pier 9").

Why didn't you post the whole picture - that guy on the pole looks familiar...

Where did  that "Whole" picture come from please? Is there a link?? Because we didn't have the whole thing before--just feet, ...and if Phil is really up that pole and not photochopped, then we will need to think this is TAR 14 and not TAR Israel.

So thanks!! Love Phil pole sitting!

Well in case you didn't already know it, there is almost definitely one of the amazing races present in HK at the moment....we just have to figure out which one.....

Not sure if this blog gives any new info apart from a possible task on Victoria Peak

I have no idea...maybe the same reason all the indians were wearing orange turbans in TARA3 :duno:

or it may be something else and nothing TAR related at all

I hope it isn't a corporate race--they do have them in HK.

I was so sad when the TARA 3 HK leg didn't go to the Peak, so I would love that!

Yeah my blog and pic  is not clear over whether it is corporate or real, but the pic of the clue box from the HK poster seems pretty kosher, and the dates fit. It could be that my blogger overheard something about the race being in town (or on the peak earlier in the day), and then saw some thing happening and took a photo assuming they were connected.

I only really posted it because it fitted with the other sightings.

Video was taken underneath the porch of the Central Pier main building; roughly in between Piers 7 and 8.

Central Pier must be the only landmark ever (bar LAX) to be featured in four separate seasons! (It wasn't built when TAR2 came around town, but Mary/Peach did end up at the old Star Ferry pier, 100m down the road...)

Did a quick check, and the Airport Express is definitely faster than a taxi. Good for teams who don't over-rely on those cabs!

Oh, Phil on a pole looks like an angler to me.

Hi everyone. Long long time lurker and first time poster. Just would like to share with you guys some info about what has now been determined to be the Amazing Race Israel. The blonde all female team with the yellow backpacks were spotted in Sydney early this morning Sydney time (ard 2.30am) at Harry's Pies in Woolloomooloo, the very same spot where Chris & Alex had to do the fast forward in Season 2 of the American TAR.

I have a slightly picture of the girls taken from a mobile phone. Just wondering on how to attach the picture to the post.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Hi guys. Well the story is my flatmate so happened to be at the pie shop and noticed all the camera crew and he also saw the red and yellow flags marking the shop. So he immediately rang me and woke me up knowing that i was a huge huge fan of the show.

So i did what any normal die hard fan of TAR would do, which was to check this board to see if there has been any new sightings of teams. So from what i read in the previous page, what he saw was i assume the Amazing Race Israel.

Well a little more information on what my flatmate saw. He only noticed one team, which was the all blonde girl team with the yellow backpacks. He also noticed a board were there different times listed on it. Something like 6.00am, 6.15 am till 7 am i think. Still have to grill to get more information.

Anyways the picture i have is attached below. Will get more pictures and information of my flatmate if there is any.

So TAR 14? In Phuket?? Oh happy days!!

Good job puddin!!  :hearts:
Oh someone would have found it eventually. Thanks to dhall's sighting this has to be us!!
is it for TAR 14 or TAR Israel?  That's confusing because both of them, I think right now they're now in the Asian side and simultaneously, they're both filming.  This related incident also been done last year and early this year when both TAR 12 and TARA 2 filming and they'd even went to a same country [that is Japan] where both of these season was featured and in this year, when TAR 13 and TARA 3 was also been filmed in India but obviously, they're on the different cities as they'd filmed and raced it.

And now, which country do you think they'll both racing in it in an Asian country for TAR 14 and TAR Israel but they're on a different cities?  I'm guessing they're probably in China or Japan right now because both of them are huge countries and plenty of urban cities out there.  You name it like Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo and Kyoto. :umn:

p.s.
I want to see the 1st season of TAR Israel soon via bittorent, even though I can't even understand on Hebrew. :hearts:

 Amazing Race
Today, 04:57 AM ( posted on Nov 16th)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'm eating lunch at The Rocks in Sydney today, and I see some funny looking flags Red with a Yellow stripe through it. I ask my friend what they are and it turns out that they are filming part of The Amazing Race in the pub we are drinking in. Random smelly Americans come running into the place, disappear, come back later puffed out even smellier and then call for a taxi. As is the Australian thing to do, we heckled them as they ran passed and one of my friends nearly came to blows as a backpack of one of said smelly Americans nearly knocked over his beer. All in all a good day out, plus we got our mugs on TV.

Anyone else seen the filming of this quality TV show before, cause i can't believe how many f'cking people follow these morons around as part of the "production team".

Hi everyone. Thank you all for your very warm welcome. Also thanks again to georgiapeach for the information on how to post the picture.

Unfortunately i don't have much information to add on to what already i have mentioned. My flatmate said for as long he was there, (somewhere around 30 minutes), he only saw the one F/F team and they weren't doing much. Just sitting around (maybe waiting for the start time stated on the board?). The other teams could have been en route or at a hotel seeing that it was 2.30 am Sydney time.

He also said there was a bunch of production ppl there and the racers were cordoned off by some rope as can be seen from the picture. Onlookers were discouraged to interact or take photos of the team that was there.

Anyways thats all i have for now. Will probably post a couple more pics (just have to get it off my flatmates mobile) sometime tonight. Once again would like to state that you guys do a tremendously good job. So keep up the good. Now back to lurking.....

Two more sydney sightings:

Quote
It looks like next season the contestants on the Amazing Race will be going to Sydney.

They were filming in the Sydney Hilton on George St., right down town setting up as I was leaving. There is a clue box in the lobby and and then a number board near the elevators (lifts) where the contestants need to grab a number as they caught the far elevator. The board only had 5 numbers on it, so by the time they get there there must be only 5 teams left.

Yesterday there was a crew here that had shirts on about "climbing face first down the side of a building" not sure if they are related.

Lots of staff in the lobby keeping eye on the clue box, flags, etc. and keeping the last elevator locked up for use by the show.

So I am not sure if any of you watch the amazing race in Israel..

MOtsei shabbos we were walking around Sydney harbour, and we saw these people racing (looked like the tv show amazing race). My dh happened to hear them speaking in hebrew, so I said wow!! It's the Israeli version. So I tried to explain to him the show. Of course immediately he jumps to speak hebrew with them and gives a couple directions. LOL I can imagine the caption, "jewish man on street gives directions in sydney."

So we kept on walking, and my cute husband decides he wants to be on tv again.. so we walk back in the general direction.. This time I grab him to stop him, cause u know enough is enough.. This time they approached my husband and started speaking to him in english. Of course my dh shows off his hebrew again..lol he's so cute

Just read this about a possible Australian version of the amazing race. The Amazing race Israel is mentioned quite alot in the article.

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24450552-7582,00.html (http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24450552-7582,00.html)
Quote

THE key obstacles to global format sales of US reality show The Amazing Race have been the sheer cost and logistics of sending a dozen couples to perform a series of strange tasks in 10 or more countries within a month and to film it.

But the Seven Network is understood to be reconsidering an Australian version after local production company activeTV filmed three Asian-based series on much less than the multi-million-dollar budget needed for the US version.

A Seven source said an Australian version was "on our development slate", but no deals were imminent, activeTV managing director Michael McKay said.

The 12th season of the US series averaged 830,000 viewers this year.

ActiveTV, which produces the Asian series through a Singapore joint venture with the US program's co-creator Bertram van Munster, is about to begin producing a new Israeli format, much of which will be filmed in Asia.

The company, which employs 18 people in its Melbourne head office and about 12 in Asia, has morphed from a sports and entertainment company into a reality specialist after producing the Australian legs of the US Race in series two and four.

The new version, to be filmed in Hebrew, will be the first non-English international series.

It will be called Ha'Merotz La'Million (The Race to the Million), referring to the prize of a million shekels that will go to the last couple standing.

McKay will say only that the series will launch "soon" with between 10 and 12 teams and an unnamed Israeli director.

"It's like the Greta Garbo of TV shows because so much of it is secret," McKay said.

"Even the crews don't know where they're going and they don't know where they're starting from."

Producing a series of The Amazing Race sounds almost as nightmarish as competing in it.

Potential locations are selected and scouted in about 40 days, and a string of local production teams are contracted to organise their legs of the race.

Senior production staff test most challenges, but McKay draws the line at bungee jumping.

"In the Asian version when we had the contestants eating bugs, we tried them," he said.

"There were crickets, cockroaches, a scorpion or two and a water bug: they were a bit chewy. We want to make sure that it's safe."

The most important element is selecting the teams, whoch are often couples but may be friends or family members.

Contrary to perceptions that the show chooses teams whose relationships will implode spectacularly under race conditions in front of the cameras, McKay looked for diversity and depth.

"The main ingredient is good chemistry," he said.

"You want light and shade and sweetness. Teams spit the dummy and walk out, or you'll see teams that become remarkably close.

"I love it when that happens but there are times when that pressure cooker situation highlights the things that you're not that keen on in your partner. Those emotions are very real."

Each team travels with a personal crew of two or three, charged with capturing such outbursts.

"We typically travel with a total crew of 100 as we move," McKay said.

"We pick up a lot of people on the ground. As the teams get eliminated, the crew becomes smaller." McKay said costs would be contained in the Israeli version by choosing "pre-existing" challenges, rather than building them.

There will be a few other differences.

Some countries, such as those that don't recognise Israeli passports, will be off-limits, and McKay is expecting cultural differences to play a big part.

"I'm expecting more open, honest, blunt and frank conversations between the teams," McKay said.

I thought there will have someone to copy it to here
However nobody copy it :ascared.........so I help to copy it
This is a spoliers of Macau :yess:

Copy from Enter My World JonLover

Since a co-poster happened to see Amazing Israel in Macau, I think we have to separate their spoilers.

Michael McKay is also the executive producer so he's only re-using the locations he had for Amazing Race Asia.

Here are the photos posted by FLICKERS

I was in Macau last week, when I saw an Amazing RAce clue with dragons
neatly arranged at the Senado Square in Macau. Its Hebrew , and
apparantly Amazing Race Israel. I waited to see the real racers to the
extent of almost missing my flight, lol.The production team arrived
there 2 hours before the first team arrived. They arrived by taxi, the
cameraman and the one bringing the microphone (i dunno how you call
him)I reckon has a tough job running there and here, it was
intense. They dont allow taking pictures about the cameraman and the
contestant, but i have zoom lens, lol...The clue was in BRIGHT yellow
and black, dang it was REAL,lol.

I saw 2 national flags on that pictures above, one is South Africa and the other one is on Canada.  Since, they'd already went to South Africa before, is it a hint that they're final race of a country to be visited for TARI season 1 will be somewhere in Canada before heading back to their "Jewish" homeland, Israel? :duno:

I've spent the last two weeks running back and forth between my place and the parent's house as they both, along with Dustin, took a two week vacation to Japan to tour as well as see my Grandmother who lives over there in Tokyo. From what I've gathered in the past couple days (they got back Thursday evening) they had a great time, and got to experience a lot of fun things. My dad finally saw Mt. Fuji (it took 6 trips before they could see it), and Dustin thought that they saw the next Amazing Race filming going on at one of the locations they were at. He and my dad couldn't think of anything else that required teams of two to be followed everywhere by a camera-man while they frantically ran around a park and rowed in canoes out to a little island in the middle of a large pond. I never watch it, so I wouldn't have any idea if it shows up in the future...but if they have an episode based out of Japan in the future, my family saw it happening for real.

Great job, Michael! If we work backwards 13 days from Nov. 22 we get Nov. 9. Now we know that AR14 arrived in Romania for Nov. 5/6/7. They could in theory have gotten to Japan on Nov. 8 late or the morning of Nov. 9. However, doing that would cut out a huge portion of Asia from legs 5, 6 and 7, so I do not think it's likely. I think that Amazing Race Israel is much more likely.

topaz--where are you seeing flags? ???

Another Syndey sighting for 11/15--this one in Manly:

From Bill1978 at TWoP: :ty3:

Today @ 9:56 pm
Just read this little news snippet in one of Sydney's paper, I couldn't find it online:

Quote
Manly on Amazing Map

The adrenalin was pumping in Manly last weekend and that wasn't just about securing a parking spot near the beach.

Seven's hit series The Amazing Race - where Americans team up to scour the world for clues and get back to base first - was being filmed in Manly last Sunday.

So just for an hour or so there was a sudden stampede of earnest, sweaty, tired types with backpacks clambering on the sand. The clue was beneath a towel of a sunbathing woman. So, now, Manly is well and truly on the map.

Amazing Race pitstops in Sydney
By David Knox on November 23, 2008 Filed Under News The Amazing Race swept through Sydney last week, shooting episodes of its 14th season.

One reader tells TV Tonight, “I was in Sydney this weekend and they were filming new Amazing Race. They were at the Opera House. Two teams came up running with camera crews -I was so excited! I think they were after Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. I wanted to follow, them I love the show!”

According to news.com.au it was also in Manly: ….for an hour or so there was a sudden stampede of earnest, sweaty, tired types with backpacks clambering on the sand.

It’s not the first time TAR has visited Sydney, previously visiting the Harbour Bridge and Harry’s Cafe de Wheels. It’s also raced through Brissy, Perth, Adelaide, Cairn, Coober Pedy and Darwin.

Of the 14th season, Keoghan has said, “It’s incredible. It’s amazing, quite frankly. We’ll be heading out for the 14th time to go around the world. We keep having this opportunity and for me, it’s the best job I’ve ever had and I love it. And thankfully the viewers love it and it’s always nice to be employed and when you get employed. You get to go around the world and shoot great adventures with people and with an audience, there’s nothing more exciting than that.”

Howdy All,

I can confirm that the Amazing Race does visit Manly, in Sydney Australia.
I was at Manly beach a couple weekends ago, getting some sun... and all of a sudden two sweaty guys with backpacks & 2 support crew (Camera man & Sound guy) ran down the beach towards where I was.

They both proceeded to get a clue envelope ( 90% sure I heard them say 'Detour' ) from a girl in an Aussie Flag bikini, sitting on an Aussie flag towel who was less and 3 meters from where I was.
The envelope directed them to nearby 'Shelly Beach' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelly_Beach_(Manly), as they were yelling to people for directions.
At Shelly beach there is Scuba diving facilities & you can go abseiling on the nearby cliffs. I assume these may be the activities they'll need to accomplish there.

As a fan of the show, seeing this was fantastic. I can't wait until S14 airs now :)

Have a go at this...
Whew, been trying to write this post for a few days now, just busy busy busy.

So, I had the day off on Sunday and thought to myself, what better to do than go scuba diving. And off I went. Now, the diving itself was nothing utterly fantastic, visibility was crap so there wasn't a whole lot to see. It was still fun though.

What made the day VERY interesting was that the beach we were diving at, Shelly Beach in Manly, had an event happening on it. I was completely oblivious to what was happening and I'll explain why later. Anyhow, they were filming, get this, The Amazing Race on the beach. It looked like they were either doing a Detour or a Roadblock. Teams had to paddle a Surf Rescue board into the ocean and around a buoy.

While we were there, like I said, I had no idea. I though they were filming some local TV show for the Surf Rescue boys. Surf Rescue flags are also red and gold, which match the Amazing Race flags, so like I said, I was oblivious until someone actually told me that is what they were filming.

So, next season, when the teams travel to Sydney and head for Shelly Beach in Manly odds are that one of the scuba divers in the water will be me!

Wonder if they will caption the show in English since it is being filmed in Hebrew?

Hi guys, I came across this picture at Thai web board. The guy who posted this pic said that, his friend has taken this picture 2 weeks ago in Bangkok (Central World, to be specific) and I think it might be TAR, considering there were a camera guy and 2 person team. But I'm not sure if it was TAR US or Israel version, cause I didn't see any red and yellow tab and the clue seemed very different. Damn, I wish I was there, I would run and volunteer to help them. (Pathetic, right?)
Here is the picture

If the picture properties are correct it cannot be the American version, we were in Beijing headed to Hawaii on the 22nd plus I see no TAR colors anywhere in the photo. Also their mics are exposed around their necks, not very TAR-like-ish imo.

:cmas0 Thanks, Puddin. The phone number is for the Royal Botanic Gardens (http://www.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/welcome_to_bgt/royal_botanic_gardens/your_visit/planning_your_visit) next to the Opera House; given time, the gate can probably be tagged.

I don't think we had the right Dan, kiwi.

Andrew was just trying to keep a "clean" profile for future jobs, grad school etc and didn't want all his "fun" out there for discussion, I think.

I can understand that!

why are beauty queens so good at this race?

Michael, perhaps you are mixing up "good at getting cast" with "good at this race." In the history of the race only Dustin and Kandice of Beauty Queen fame and Vanessa/Pamela (who may not be actual Beauty Queens but appear to be) have finished second. Other than that, the performance of Beauty Queens has been no better than average. Now, since the Amazing Race Casting Departments of both Amazing Race (U.S.) and Amazing Race Asia have shown a distinct bias for selecting cute young females, does that surprise you?

I stumbled across this blog reference:
http://summertravelinfo.blogspot.com/2008/12/johannesburg-fastest-paced-city-in.html

Quote
Be warned though, Johannesburg, is the busiest city in South Africa. However the street systems are as advanced as any \first world\ country. Now get out of the Rat Race of Johannesburg. Fifteen to twenty kilometres north away from the hustle and bustle is the \Cradle of Humankind\, declared a world heritage site. The theory is that creation stemmed from the cradle of human kind and the oldest human fossil was found in the caves, \The Wonder Caves\, recently featured as part of the television reality show \The Amazing Race\. Adjacent to them is a couple of game parks, large enough to wet your appetite for the great Kruger National Park later in your vacation.

Now, did they mean TAR 7? ???  But recently??!!

http://www.wildcaves.co.za/index2006.php?var=home.html

Or since this seems to be a copycat race, did they go there again? :duno:

Peach, unless my memory is failing me(possible right at this moment), in early November there were some posts about South Africa and because the timing was coincident with when we knew AR14 was in Europe we classified the sightings as belonging to Amazing Race Israel.

I know of course that Cape Town was TAR Israel (pretty team pictures), I am wondering about the caves and Jo-burg though? Recent may mean recent or to them maybe TAR 7 is recently aired or something.

having watched the israeli versions of survivor and big brother I kind of expacted a mactor casting in the race, but let me remaind you guys that it's not that deiffrent in the american version...
there are too many "hot girls" teams (3 out of 10) in this season  and I think it's really unnecessary but expacted from israeli casting.
I think this season will end up like the seconed asian version where a hot guy team will always be in the 1st spot and all the female teams will be lagging far behind... I am hoping that the older teams could survive the first lags and the mactor teams will be elyminated in the begining but I highly doubt it will happen  :'(

retardboi, when I look at the pictures and brief descriptions of the teams (reference your post #173), I find these:

team 3: older couple
team 6: older women, wearing bizarre bracelets

Your concern for the "older couple" is hopefully misplaced. None of the couple on team 3 or the older woman on team 6 appear to me to be more than their 40s in age. I hope you are not suggesting that 20-somethings will win over 40-somethings. It obviously depends on the tasks they have to do. The non-fit Mardy/Mariso did pretty well in ARA1. The non-fit Henry and Terri did pretty well in ARA2. The marginally fit team Bernie and Henry lacked  by one year Bernie's age 39 for making the 40 something club and they did well. These teams all came in around 4th or 5th place. There is no reason I can think of that an older couple should not be competitive up to and in the Finale for Amazing Race Israel if they are mentally and physically fit.

Some info on the Cape Town leg, sent to Rob who forwarded it to me. Thanks Rob and thank you so very much Callandor :ty

Quote
Hi Rob

I was at the Cape Town: Amazing Race pitstop. I wrote about my experience at www.tvsa.co.za towards the end of November under Callandor.

Here are my 3 posts:

First time I've posted in a while. Wrt TAR at Rhodes Mem. Was there! Got phoned by a friend (who I think is the same friend as yours Batchick, and getting married next week). Since I live very close, thought I'd wander up there. Was there from 6:30 to 10, mingling with the camera crew, and saw teams 3 to 10 (last team) come in.

It was the second leg. It was Amazing Race Israel. Last 3 teams were very close together. 3 all-female teams.

2 blond girls (looked like sisters) were almost eliminated, and just made it in time. They had a big argument with one of the production staff afterwards. From what I gathered, they had finished first in the first leg, which ended in PE. The second leg went from PE to CT. They seem however to have got off in George, not CT, which is very possible, as the PE-CT trip actually stops over in George. They seem to have driven from George to CT. Couldn't quite work out the details, or why they were so upset with the production staff. But they seem to have asked one of the producers on the plane "Do we get off here?" and seemed to think that they were misled. I'm not sure I have all the details correct. Not used to trying to overhear conversations, and felt quite bad doing so, even though it was in the open, but this is The Amazing Race (or at least a version thereof)

The 2 blonde girls are the 2 girls in pink who are featured prominently on your forum.

2nd post:

They were pretty mad. The 2 girls that got eliminated were inconsolable, sobbing afterwards.

What was quite funny was that they made quite a few of the contestants refilm the running up to "Israeli Phil" on the mat. This happened particularly when they were bunched up, and one team would arrive while another team was still being interviewed on the mat. (Interviews would be 5 to 10 minutes on the mat). They would let the team run up to the mat, and get greeted (by some local blonde beauty queen). Then they would reshoot the run-up. Quite funny to see the teams ham-acting the second time round. Huge screams of joy, exclamations of relief, burying of heads into hands. Very funny!

Also got to hear all the walkie-talkie action. All in English, which was interesting. Most of the crew seemed to be either American or South African. Couple of different crews. I just hung out there, and people seemed to assume I was part of one of the crews. A couple of times I was mistaken for one of the drivers to take the contestants back to wherever they were staying. Having chatted to the South Africans who were actually driving, I would just shake my head and point to the appropriate person. One American guy asked me to do something technical which I didn't understand, so I just smiled and looked past him vaguely.

Getting back to the Walkie-Talkie action, my favourite part was when the one producer announced "The last 4 teams have just left the last challenge. Arriving any moment". Everybody was craning their necks, watching for car lights, speculating as to which team would arrive next. ("Car lights approaching! Is that one of the teams? Confirm? Is that one of the teams? Which team is it? Everybody, get ready!")

From what I gathered, the teams went to the Waterfront, to a wine farm in Stellenbosch, sand duning somewhere, and to Langa (where the Roadblock involved eating a smiley). There were probably a couple of other activities.

Around the world in 80 challenges

By Ruta Kupfer

The participants in the reality television game show, "Hamerotz Lamillion" ("The Race to the Million" - known as "The Amazing Race" in its original American form) always look like extreme tourists - as if they are participating in a caricature of the travel deals where people are offered "Classical Europe in five days," but minus the shopping.

The participants in the American program, which is now being produced for Israeli audiences, are supposed to go from country to country within a short period of time, to carry out a number of tasks that are connected with the local customs and then, as speedily as possible, to reach their final destination - home. There they get to see their videotaped experiences (and drive their friends, who weren't lucky enough to go, crazy).

The local version, which is due to be aired next Thursday on Channel 2 (Reshet), is another in a series of reality show programs broadcast by the commercial channels which have come here after being viewed for years in other countries. It is entering the TV arena at a time when the second season of "Survivor" is lagging behind the hoped for ratings, and it seems that "Big Brother" has supplied little more than the annual amount of trash.

The format itself is for the most part familiar to those who four years ago saw "Sof Haderech" on Channel 2, an Israeli program that was very much influenced by the format of "The Amazing Race", in the days when the franchisees preferred impersonation over buying the format legally.

The American program has been broadcast since 2001 and is considered one of the best in this much maligned genre. Its 14th season will begin next month. It was created jointly by Bertram van Munster and his wife, Elise Doganieri and was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer ("CSI," "Cold Case"). The Israeli version is being edited by Eyal Elkabetz and Ravit Lior Mandel. The show will be adapted to Israeli standards by drawing out the competition over a longer time and highlighting relationships - and fights - as happened with "Survivor" and "Yordim Begadol."

In the original program, about a dozen pairs start every race. Their compositions are varied - sometimes they are married couples, sometimes they are engaged, sometimes a couple that has just begun seeing one another; there are homosexual pairs, elderly people, sometimes siblings, a mother and son, a grandfather and grandson, good friends, cousins and so forth.

The race is divided into parts. In every country and at the end of every program, the participants reach an interim station where a host is waiting - Phil Keoghan, a New Zealander, and in the local version, Raz Meirman. Those who reach him last are usually disqualified (unless the production, so it seems, intervenes on their behalf).

According to estimates, $5 million was invested in the first season of the Israeli version - a considerable sum by local TV standards, though the big prize - $1 million in the American original - will be NIS 1 million here. Ten couples will compete, including two elderly kibbutznik women, a couple that is due to be married, two childhood friends, two night club owners from Tel Aviv (Shai Kahane and Guy Ossidon), and two beauty queens (Elena Ralph and Liran Kohner).

The pairs have to carry out both physically and mentally challenging tasks in every country. In Costa Rica, for example, the participants in one of the seasons of the American version had to choose between several assignments - crossing a dangerous bridge in a rain forest, looking for signs of Mayan culture, or collecting 15 banana plants and taking them in wagons to the market. In Taiwan, they had to travel in a vehicle used by stunt performers, and in Mozambique to convince people in the market to paint their fingernails.

The route itself is challenging. During one season, it started in Washington and continued to China, Vietnam, India, Kuwait, Mauritius, Madagascar, Finland, Ukraine, Morocco, France and then back to the United States. (They have never visited Israel, apparently because of the high insurance fees in a country that is often at war.) On one occasion, the last task was to remember the route and all its challenges.

The pairs fly free from country to country. once there, they get around in taxis, trains, buses or private vehicles which one of the pair drives while the other navigates from behind, (since the photographer who is with them sits in the front). Every one of the members of the pairs has the same number of tasks of the same kind in every program so that it is not possible for a grandchild, for example, to do all the physical tasks while the grandfather does all those requiring intellectual skills.

The tasks, for the most part, are for a tourist on steroids, and involve extreme situations. If there is a famous bridge in the country, the competitors will have to do a bungee jump from it. If it is accepted practice to eat snails there, they will have to swallow a kilo of them.

But despite all that, the American program is high quality for the genre. The competitors are fairly intelligent and polite and ever since there has been a reality category for the prestigious Emmy Awards, "The Amazing Race" has won it every year. It devotes little time to intrigue, even though they do show the pairs quarreling among themselves. It tends not to become a freak show (even once when a very short woman participated with her normal-height cousin, who was nasty, and the two fought with the other pairs just like two shrews from a children's fable). By the way, the only time they deviated from the series' format and got families rather than couples to compete against one another, the season failed.

The finale of the Israeli program has not yet been filmed. it will take place only after the program is being broadcast and the contestants will have become familiar faces to the public. This is a significant difference from the American format and in this tiny country where everyone knows everyone else, it could have a considerable effect on the speed in which the contestants advance to their goal.

The hasty skipping from country to country that is accepted practice in the program is in bad taste. Clearly there is more to France than a croissant, but the "set design" - scenery from different parts of the world - is spectacular. Only on rare occasions do situations arise that are truly inconvenient. That is what happened during one of the seasons when the pairs visited Poland.

The anticipated discomfort could be sensed from the moment the plane touched down in Warsaw. And indeed, the most infamous site in history was made part of the program.

One minute the pairs could be seen fighting each other over the most important objective of all - to win $1 million - filled with ambition and bursting with sporting spirits, and then they were informed that they were due to take a bus to Auschwitz.

On arrival, they had to light memorial candles on the tracks of the trains that led to the gate of the camp. The program did indeed slow down its crazy speed for a few moments and the playing of a mournful violin was heard in the background.

One of the participants had a revelation and testified that the experience had led him to see the arguments between them in the correct proportions. But at the end of all this, they happily went on their way to the next task - eating Polish kielbasa sausages which they had prepared with their own hands. One of the contestants said of this particular task that it was the most difficult thing she had ever done.

"The Amazing Race," which is a play on words of the well known American hymnal "Amazing Grace," takes place all over the world, but the program has been produced only in a few versions - in Asia, Brazil and central Europe (where it has since been put on hiatus) and in Latin America.

It is to be hoped that the participants in the Israeli version of the speedy tourism program will make do with learning the customs of the places they visit and will not take along with them customs of their own, such as stealing faucets and trying to inculcate the natives with songs of the Israel Defense Forces' Golani Brigade.

it sucks...
after what happened with the israeli Survivor I expected  that they are going to screw it up...  and keeping the final to after the filming is just shamefull.
I won't be suprised if they add SMS voting to the mix - the same producers almost did the same thing in survivor but were denied from the show's origial creators.

it's horrible.  (:;)

What is SMS voting? ???

SMS is mobile phone text messaging , producers usually relay on the public texting for their favorites fro extra money.
in the fist season  of Israeli survivor the producers (the same one's that are in charge on the Amazing RacE) wanted the winner will be determined by text messaging , they were denied by the original creators of Survivor that hold the rights to the format, in the end the voting and the finale trible council took place on live TV months after filming, they also manneged to sneak a contestant that was liked by the public but was eliminated early to the finales (gladly he came in second place) by using a twisted "Island of the Dead" twist.

A LONG interview with the TARI producer Ravit Lior-Mandel,

Here is a brief excerpt:

Winning formula

By Doron Halutz / Photo by Yanai Yehiel

... Ravit Lior-Mandel, the woman who brought us 'Survivor,' is now preparing the Israeli version of the Emmy award-winning 'The Amazing Race.' On your mark, get set

.Ravit Lior-Mandel can't keep her eyes open and the bags under them are prominent on her smooth face. In addition to her crazy work hours and precious little sleep, she now has a mysterious eye infection. Mandel is in a race against time, but she's used to it. "I worked that way during the entire filming of 'Survivor,'" she explains ...

.....

Major transformation

.The original version of "The Amazing Race" has been screened in the United States since 2001 and has won the Emmy award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program every year since 2003. The show is basically a contest among 10 couples who race all over the world, carrying out special tasks determined by the producers: for example, to dig for gold, to milk snake venom or to ski in the Alps. Some parts of the race are elimination stages, after which the couple that arrives last is ousted. The tasks are based on knowledge, concentration, and navigational and physical abilities. The contestants do not always know where the other couples are, or what their next destination will be

".Mandel says that because of the differences between the Israeli and American audiences, the program has undergone a major transformation: "An Israeli audience prefers tasks that touch on emotions, the gut - that bring people to a mental or physical extreme or which contain humor. Society here consists of warm, impulsive and extroverted people, who want to see what they would do in such situations. In the American format the emphasis is on sports and on the race itself - which couple arrives first, how long it takes. To the Israeli audience it's also important how they carried out the task and what they felt during it, and in what creative way they dealt with it. For the Americans that's of secondary importance

".Mandel joined the filming abroad for two weeks out of the two months. "I experienced more gas-station food than I've ever experienced in my life. We were in places with inconceivable poverty and misery. There's no cola and no bathroom; there's no such thing as a restaurant. You live in a van and eat fruit. I went through entire days of the race - 10 tasks a day that include mud, mosquitoes, the worst-smelling markets you can imagine, trips in a rickety vehicle. And it's hot. And everything has to be done very quickly ... And when you reach the end, after 18 hours on your feet, exhausted from a day of running around without eating or drinking, you have to board a plane for the next destination to get there before the contestants. And when you finally land you have to call a production meeting. I returned looking like a Holocaust survivor, in terrible condition. It's a tremendous physical and mental effort ... I always did series about fashion and lifestyle; this is not my natural incarnation

?Why should people want to work hard in a program like "The Amazing Race" if they can win the big prize on the "Big Brother" sofa

".Every program has its own price. In 'Big Brother,' you may not run around or eat worms, but the level of exposure and the absence of filters over the long term leads to a loss of any privacy. But people come to reality not for the prize, but mainly to get out of their routine. These are people who lead a conformist way of life, but a little bird is chirping in their head, saying 'Let's try something else.' Dan Mano and Noam Tor, for example, did not come to 'Survivor' due to a vision of some modeling contract waiting at the end of the road; they were looking for an interesting platform for leaving the routine and the norms, for undergoing an experience that wouldn't arise again. People who come from a background like Dan's don't need TV for money and fame; they can get it in other ways, too"

?Is participating in a reality show a good springboard for a future career in television

".People make a connection between success on a reality show and success as a TV personality, but that's not realistic. Nor do I understand the press that confirms this illusion. These series are an excellent platform for demonstrating abilities that you have, but a successful appearance on a reality show says nothing whatsoever about your ability as a TV personality. It doesn't turn you into a talent"

?So why do people draw this connection

".A reality show turns people who are totally anonymous into part of the viewers' lives. They are your guests on the screen twice a week. You feel that as a viewer you know them from every possible angle, and make the mistake of believing that what you see can also be a basis for maintaining other programs with a different format. You also see people who are edited, and what happens when they have to offer insight in the studio in real time, without distillation, is not always related to what you saw on the reality show"

.Recently it was discovered that one of the stars of the Israeli reality show "Project Y" committed suicide

I'm not fully acquainted with the details. The moment you lose your anonymity and become public property is very stressful and unexpected. Like any upheaval in life, it's liable to bring you to low places, but as in everything there also has to be a previous basis to it ... It's impossible to declare that participation in a reality show, like the warnings of the Ministry of Health on cigarettes, is damaging to your health." W"

Has a premiere date been set for this new show yet?

This week , february fifth

every leg will be split to two episodes that will be aired in the same week at thursday and at saturday.
I have seen some new promoes that contain cuts from several legs, I recognized Vietnam, China and South Africa.
from the spolier about the second leg and the previews (teams doing tasks at Vietnam)  I think that the team that is eliminated in Cape Town are the Beauty Queens but I could be wrong...

the first part of leg 1 kicked ass :jam:
I was suprised of how professional the edit was and how well the show was casted. it look very promising.

it sucks that it's in hebrew and you guys can't understand.
the tasks where brought from TAR7 in the african legs - driving around the african reserve and walking with fruit basket on your head.

strong team resemblance:
Asher and Maor - Dandrew (TAR13) - funny as hell
Alen and Inbal - Jen and Nate (TAR12)
Hannah and Margalit - Peggy and Claire (TAR2) - really sweet old ladies

Hannah and Margalit were really bad in this leg, they are not aggressive enough for this race.  I doubt if they stay for long. :(
it sucks becouse they are intresting and nice - they took the time and played and sang with african kids when they were already in last place.

I think I saw them in one of the old promos wearing a Conical hat, indicating they survive the first two legs make it to Vietnam.

Does it look like each leg is going to take two 1.5h episodes?

3 hours of showtime so far, no eliminations, and we've still got one more episode of South Africa to go? This race is going to last us a loong time...!

Doesn't look good for the girl-girl teams though...

I am really busy latley (end of the semester and all) so I don't have the time to give you detailed info.
generaly all the episodes are split in to two so there will be an elimination only in the next episode and every 2 ep' after unless it's a NE leg (then it's 4 like this time).
anyway the teams had to fly to cape town , the blondes went to the wrong airport (maybe the missleading it was claimed they talked about in the spoiler) and lost a lot of time. the Beauty Queens switched tasks and lost a lot of time as well and are currently in last place , as I said before I think that they are the first to be eliminated according to the cape town spoiler .

Corrent placement:

1.Maya & Amichay
2.Guy & Shay
3.Michal & Ran
4.Eliana & Yael
5.Gil & Tom
6.Allen & Inbal
7.Hannah & Margalit
8.Hadas & Inbal
9.Maor & Asher
10.Liran & Elena

Found this:

Feb. 19, 2009
Aryeh Dean Cohen , THE JERUSALEM POST
10… 9… 8… 7… 6…Sorry. Couldn't help introducing a review of Reshet's new Hamerutz Lamillion, Israel's answer to The Amazing Race, without that countdown they've been pushing in their promos.

Gathered in the living room for the premiere, we were geared up for action. That is, until endless promos preceded the show and it seemed like it might never take off "courtesy of ISSTA airlines."

When it did begin, I was a bit under-whelmed. It seemed that for every 10 seconds of globetrotting or grueling assignment (walking with a basket of fruit on your head?) there were two to three times as much time spent chatting with the participants, who spent the first night at the aptly named Tzitzikamma (tzitzi means breast in Hebrew) resort in South Africa, since that's what we saw most of - flesh.

Oh, there were hippos and zebras and dancing African priestesses, but mainly, there were the contestants. Mostly buxom or bitchy, a few managed to catch our fancy - Hanna and Margalit in particular. The two older kibbutzniks from Emek Hayarden stole our hearts when they taught the priestesses a Hebrew song.

The rest were the usual love 'em or hate 'em mix of beauty queens (Yelena and Liran splashing in a pool during their pre-contest interview), the get-it-done business partners (Shai and Guy), the spitfires (Yael and Mariana, "two Rottweilers," as one of them put it), the exes who grew more annoying as the show proceeded (Tom and Inbal), the blonde bombshells (Hadas and Inbal, owners of the shortest tennis skirts and pinkest items in one wardrobe), the funny-men (Asher and Mor, "We just want to collect the most towels," noted the former), the married with kids couple (Michal and Ran, "The children are trivial; it's my work that will miss me the most," noted the latter) and the oh-so-close to getting married couple (Maya and Amichai).

Love or hate aside, you couldn't ignore them. A lot more than you can say for host Raz Meirman, who gives new meaning to the term "wooden." Particularly bad were those important pre-race declarations he made, like, "It's a race against the other teams, and the clock."

Like, duh.

"It's about to happen - the adventure of your lives, the world is waiting…Go!" Meirman said, setting the teams scampering into the big, wide world.

The first stop was Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where they headed to a big game park. That's when the colonialist nature of some participants really shone through. Trying to find their way, one participant saw some locals walking along the road and considered asking directions. "Should we be asking homeless people?" she wondered aloud.

Later, when Asher and Mor visited a poor village to participate in a challenge, they related how they felt "like Kobi Annan [sic]" arriving to deliver aid. Said Amichai, "It was an authentic village. I understand the difference between where we live and where they live." Even worse was Ran suggesting that lots of the locals were drunk.

Someone feed them to a rhino.

Meanwhile, our contestants had actual challenges to perform, if you can call them that - driving a vehicle through a patch of mud (boring!), attaching a log to the back of said vehicle, and, oh yes, balancing that fruit basket on their heads, which they then had to walk over to the high priestesses for a blessing and another clue.

In between, we had important declarations from the participants, like, "I came to win!" and "We want to prove we're not just blondes!" We did get a kick out of the blondes figuring out that it's easier to drive the car to the log than rolling the log to the car.

But the stunts left us pretty bored, and can someone please tell Tom and Inbal we're tired of their fighting already?

Still, blondes and others showing cleavage apparently do well in the ratings. Though the overall production was impressive, we can only hope the stunts will pick up a notch while we enjoy the scenery. Jetting around the world should be fun and it is - in the US version.

Hamerutz Lamillion airs on Channel 2 Thursday nightsat 9 p.m.

I'll see and double-check it because yes, that doesn't seem quite right either other th an Liran & Elena getting eliminated. Watch this space for an update.

I'm confused. I've watched the final part of episode 3, and the leg's not over yet! It just stops towards the end, you have your previews and then it's done. So unless retard boi has some insider information (or has seen episode 4), I don't know what to think. :groan:

But for the record, in episode 4 there's a task involving a smiley (sheep's head - remember from TAR2) and it looks like they have to eat it. And someone's car at the racetrack crashes out? Hmm, interesting. But as for the list, it's false, so don't believe it yet.

well, the 4 episode (2nd Part Of Leg 2) Was Aired Today In Israel, They Will Put That Episode In Their Website Tomorrow (I Think So). The Only Clear Thing Is That Liran & Elena Were The 1st Team Eliminated, Cause' Their Image Is The Only Gray In The Reshet Page.  :duno:

Peach's sources were right - next stop: Vietnam!

Quick recap of Leg 2.2: Racetrack task (TARA 1.1), Smiley task in Langa (TAR 2.3 - if you go there they will keeeeel you!), Slap-dancing on the Cape (TAR 2.3) and the Pit Stop, per sightings, at Rhodes Memorial.

I see Ben Thanh market (TARA 3.3), which means we're headed for Ho Chi Minh City! Leg 3 looks like it'd have the racers selling flowers (TAR 10.3) and crawling through peat...?

Love that the Ep 1 opening (no computers, cell phones or credit cards; only resource on the race is their partner) harks back to TAR Original's beginnings!

Daarn - it's like every leg's a TBC. I feel sorry for the racers...

I quite like the idea of twice a week episodes! There's always a TBC and something to speculate and look forward to everytime! If this happens to the US version, at least we get to see more of the teams and the places, and further increasing the episode counts and not get bored the six weekdays without TAR!

In the most recent episode (Macau I), at 11:20, isn't that... Singapore? Spoiler, misdirection, mistake or filler?

Running the Hong Kong and Macau legs when the neon lights are on is a brilliant/obvious idea, yet never exploited well enough in both the US and Asian versions. Kudos to production!

(They edited out the Hong Kong airport, the spoiled clue at Central Pier, and the ferry ride. Hong Kong pops up at random places though, like at 28:46. Sneaky!)

"Don'g be so nervous!"

Very happy that TARI finally went to HK & Macau :hearts:
Can't watch the show becoz of language reason is awful  :groan:
I've Watched the result in Wiki and
Glad that the cookies detour and the clue in Venetian Hotel are correct

And agreed about what Neobie said
The most beautiful things of HK is the night view and the skyscrapers
Hope TAR & TARA will get a zoom to it

In addition: How can we see the whole episode
It seems that the offical website has removed the whole episode :res:
Any other ways to watch TARI

Some observation and time correction of this 2 episode
First......Before Macau....I think that they have been to Hong Kong
We can see the clue that brought by kaad that the Central Pier clue in Ep 13
*Nov 11 Teams seen at HK Central Pier #9:  (thanks to kaad)
Video here (thanks to kaad and hongdomoto)

Second
I think this spoliers is wrong
*Nov 12 Victoria Peak HK  (thanks to Mrs Shrek) photo evidence
Since in the HK episode *Ep14
We can see the canlander is 13 in the local pharmacist in 56:53
So....they are racing in HK in Nov 13
and the

*unconfirmed date Macau (obtaining a clue in the Venetian Hotel, eating Almond Cookies in a Koi Kei bakery on Rua Felcidade 70-72,
and labelled dragon heads in Senado Square  photo evidence originally posted by skf123 in the HK discussion thread
, but  to Anthonyctf for sharing it with us!

It should be Nov 12
That means they won't race in  Victoria Peak HK   in Nov12
