Totally agree with you. It was ghastly and horrible like some musical gone wrong. He has a good voice but I feel that his personality is holding him back. If he can integrate his singing with his pleasant personality, he would have gone far. But then again, he is the youngest contestant thus he needs time to develop and blossom into a fabulous singer. Time will tell, but he is certainly one guy to look out for in the near future.

I like this kid but I agree this last performance was ghastly. There was no power in his singing. He tried, he reminded me of Michael Jackson and I give him props for trying to dress with some verve, but he just needs to step it up and perform with some belief in his talent. I expected him to go last week, but DialIdol seems to have him safe yet again.
I hope he can get some advice on selling the song and performing. A friend thinks it is the 8-10 year old little girls keeping him in the contest.

My hubby and I think he was hoping to be voted off. We think he knows he is not prepared for all of this. He needs to mature a little bit. Tomorrow night will be really interesting.

I think Sanjaya will fizzle out fairly soon. (Hopefully!) As the people leave who had a fan base like Gina or Chris Sligh, those votes will most likely go to another person, probably Blake or Chris R. Never for San the Entertainer.
I intend to vote with a vengeance on Tuesday. :meow:

As I have mentioned before, all of the top 12 were just fodder until it gets down to Blake, Melinda, and as of late, Jordin. You could probably add in LaKisha and maybe Chris.
But if Sanfizzle outlast any of my top 3 or 4, that's when I might have to put a whoop'n on somebody!!! :snicker:
VFTW's Scott Sovol made it to top 5 during season 4, and I dare to say that Sanjaya has more support this season!!!

Fodder, you're right about that. I just wish my fodder choices had lasted longer, Chris Sligh and .... oops I can't even remember his name. Sundance. Scott Sovol could sing, his voice just didn't go with his age and appearance. However I never could figure his appeal either.
I'm holding you to the whoop'n though if the lounge singer makes it to the top 3 or 4! :yess:

If he wins I will never watch AI again, you heard it here first. And I usually plan my life around that show and on Tuesday I missed it for the first time in two years and I didn't care at all.

I wasn't a huge haley fan although she's obviously very hot.
The judges were wayyy too harsh on her every week for some reason though, she wasn't nearly as bad as what they let on...she just wasn't in the same league as Melinda or Lakisha.

I don't know how they decide the order but there isn't a doubt in my mind that Simon can deliver the Kiss Of Death to a contestant. (Except for the lounge singer who seems impervious!) :crazy I don't think I'll ever watch AI again if the fizzle wins but I have faith that he won't. He wouldn't sell a single CD, well that might be too strong, they might sell on the clearance table.

As much as I dislike Haley I do agree with you. Unfortunately if you are not one of the judges favorites you tend to get criticized more than others. Lakisha and Phil will be the next two to go is my guess.
