Tirbal alliance.  If you are too friendly to everyone no one will want to go against you in the end.  I think you shoudl be nice to everyone, but not too friendly or you are seen as a threat.

i wanted to vote for two  Alliances and lying.  In r/l i do not condone lying, but in this game i think it does help to try to be in an alliance with everyone.  Of course then you are lying to someone or allot of someone's, but i think it would help you get farther.
