Title: Twists!
Post by: Rob on August 23, 2006, 11:13:13 AM
From CBS:

This twist AGAIN??:
In addition, throughout the series, at least one castaway each episode will be banished to a separate island (Exile Island) miles away from camp.  While being separated from the tribe is not desirable, the castaways will learn that there is a hidden Immunity Idol somewhere on Exile Island.  If found, this Immunity Idol could save an individual from being voted out at a future Tribal Council.

Segregation?:
SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS will feature the series' most ethnically diverse cast to date.  The castaways will initially be organized into four tribes divided along ethnic lines (African-American, Asian-American, Hispanic and White) before merging in a later episode.

I'm glad they kept this twist. I love the idea, and I love starting them off in groups of four.
I'm getting the Surivovor bug, hmmmm maybe a news article for the time being?

The exile twist would be better if someone USED the idol

Yep yep. But same can be said for the Coup D'Etat in Big Brother.

It would be interesting if they baried 2 idols this time.

last season there wasnt really that much of a twist other then exile island and it didnt seem to effect the suriovrs that much.

it seems lately that all these amazing twists cbs is promising lately turn out to be duds cause they are either never put into play or never used.

i want to see some edge of the couch tv viewing this season

:lol3:    I thought the same thing last season.  It was boring because of that.  I wanted to see sparks fly when it would be used.  Maybe that's why I wasn't crazy about the EI.

Oh well, we'll just have to see how it plays out. :js:

I think the Idol will be used this time. There is no way someone else can get on the same streak Terry did and have the immunity idol as well.

terry was an awesome player and it should have been him and aras in the final two  it was that useless chick that screwed that up....  sorry leftover resentment from last season :-*

It's cool. I agree 100%. I of course had to cheer for Aras all the way because I had a 100 dollars on the line. (WHICH I WON YEAH) But I thought that it should have been Terry and Aras in the finals Danielle didn't deserve to make it to the final 4 let alone the final 2. I was preying so hard that Cirie would beat her but nope. Oh well. Aras won. Lets move on to the future.

I think they should hide two idols. One that is the REAL idol, and one that just kind of looks like it. That way, maybe two people will think they have it, and only one will be real. Could make for some good tv. Although, if a beloved member turns out to have the fake idol all of their followers will cry foul and that the show is fixed. lol

I think that last season, the idol played so much into the game even though it wasn't used....

Remember all the choices that the other tribe made, regarding voting, because they *thought* Terry had the idol.  They even voted off one of their own because they were afraid to vote off Terry's tribemate, knowing that he would have voted off Aras.

Personally, I kept wondering why they didn't simply vote out Terry, and have three of their tribemates vote out Terry's tribemate, thus ensuring that one of them left.

the idol is a one time use only thing right?  so it might be of benifit to force the play and make it be used.  of course it would probally be someone i liked who got boot from the idol being used LOL
 ???

I dont think the chicken theif who is on exile island now has a shot at finding it though  ???

No he just dug, did not really read the clue  ~ the grad and A good for him, but then it said look for the isaldn to disappear.  So he dug right where he made the A.

Do think it was interestign that it was a 2 day exile.

They were talking about Jonathan who misread the clue and started digging where he saw the "A", forgetting that he had to make the south island disappears.
