My post, over in team spoilers:
Quote
Peter looks like he's going to climb Everest; unless he's carrying extra gear for Sarah, I predict half of that backpack will be abandoned by the middle of the race.
From the TVGuide article:
Quote
We have a spare knee with us, and we're bringing feet we can switch out
OK, that shuts me up.
The Great Wall perspective shouldn't be hard to find; it's probably to closest point to Beijing.

FWIW the shot of Sa'eed and Bilal was taken at SeaTac.  But we already knew that.     My dad was one of the underling architects at the firm that designed it.

An interesting travel site here with lots of photos. Not much help with the gate photo, though (go here and click "doorways" on the right side); the red/yellow dot is a common style. This page lists the wall sites closest to Beijing (Badaling is probably the closest, but if they're driving to Mongolia--I still have doubts--then the wall section near the road to the border would be appropriate). Simatai even has a zipline!

Some China buffs say that this uniform is Qing Manchu Bannermen Ceremonial Armor.

Here's a bit about TAR: Asia which might help us with the American version, from the Today tabloid from Singapore...

While the Asian and US versions will soon wage a ratings battle against each other, the two productions also came close to colliding during filming.

"It's really funny to us now, but when we first realised how close we came, it was quite scary," he said, declining to elaborate on where the near-miss occurred.

I'm guessing that the near miss happened in New Zealand.

Corporate sponsors for TAR: Asia include Bintan resorts (Indonesia) and Air Asia (Malaysia), anything we can make out of that?

CBS web monkeys just updated TAR web site with a "preview" video.  I'm currently "bandwidth challenged", and can't view it full frame. OK, never mind, it's the same promo they've been running on TV.

blah blah just throwing this out ,grasping at straws .

Quote
jlaw writes The man from the man/woman team came over to us and asked if we knew where The News Building was in New York City - he even showed us the clue

so I saw that I saved this in my favorites and thought maybe this globe ties in somehow .
Can't help thinking that if TAR10 starts in Seattle where TAR3 finished ....as well as TAR10 going to Beijing , doing the same type tasks as TAR 1 that maybe just maybe the final leg can be Flushing Park where TAR1 ended . Like maybe the Globe leads them to the park or something ?

Daily News Building

EARTH GLOBE
Daily News Building
220 East 42nd Street
Manhattan

The lobby of the building that until 1995 was the home of the Daily News features an oversize, rotating, tilted globe of Earth, with oceans, prevailing ocean currents, continents, and nations delineated. The sphere sits in an illuminated, fenced-off basin surrounded by a tiled compass rose embedded in the floor, providing the cardinal direction and mileage to various cities around the world.
