Opps, let me fix that location!
I found a picture that shows the view a lot better. It was right there in GE!

AR10 racers would have reached Hong Kong the afternoon or evening of Dec. 11 according to my timeline. However, nothing prevented Amazing Race production from knowing about significant cultutral events just before and having a camera crew on hand to film them. I'm sure there is an advance team arriving near every pit stop one to two days prior to check all arrangements for the tasks and setup of everythign that happens.

Haven't they been notoriously inaccurate with the mileage before?
The short answer is yes. Who knows how CBS calculates their miles. What HAS been accurate in the past is the continent info, which is why I just can't see Antarctica/Australia getting into the mix. Anywho, here's an updated route spec (confirmed stuff in red, unconfirmed in pink). This thread is boggling my brain, so maybe you guys have better date info... There still is that big gappo between Maputo and KL with only a possible stop in Poland. So there are still 10 days unaccounted for. That's four legs without confirmed destinations, or five legs is Warsaw is only a bypass spot on the way to KL.
Any ideas?
A wild guess might be stops in Israel, Serbia/Bosnia, Romania,Czech Republic, and then Poland. All new to TAR

MWOODEN, I have a few comments on your timeline, as you might expect since it differs in a few critical aspects from mine(copied from post #1515 and updated slightly):
Nov. 28 depart from USHUAIA
Dec. 1 arrival in MAPUTO 2 pit stop in MAPUTO
3 depart MAPUTO; arrive ?
4 pit stop late in the day in ?
5 REST DAY in middle of race near ?
6 depart ? to fly to WARSAW
7 arrive in WARSAW; pit stop late in the day
8 depart WARSAW for long flight with about 8 time zone differential
9 arrive KUALA LUMPUR
10 KUALA LUMPUR pit stop
11 leave KUALA LUMPUR; arrive HONG KONG
12 HONG KONG pit stop
13 leave HONG KONG; arrive ?
14 pit stop at ?; depart for GUAM
15 arrive GUAM; Anderson Air Force Base pit stop
16 depart GUAM for TOKYO-NARITA and change to HONOLULU, crossing date line so it's still the 16th; change planes probably to somewhere on the West Coast or Hawaiian islands
17 FINALE
My conclusion is that there are two undiscovered pit stops, one between MAPUTO and WARSAW and another between HONG KONG and GUAM and a rest day added to the 12 hour pit stop in ?(unknown location between MAPUTO and WARSAW).
I have the racers leaving USHUAIA on Nov. 28. Since it takes from 936pm on the 28th until 940am on Dec. 1 just to fly to MAPUTO, no pit stop there is likely until Dec. 2. Given the known information, I think you have the racers arriving in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong about one day too late for the known information. Also, the verification on the Final 3 from Guam to Honolulu has nothing to do with the eliminated racers going to Honolulu direct from Guam. The Final 3 went on Northwest via Tokyo-Narita to Honolulu as verified by Northwest ticket agents on Guam.

I can't watch this season if you are telling me I am going to have to deal with the bimbos for the whole season and see them get second. If they are going to last kill me now! Wasn't this supposed to be teams we actually would watch and not want to poke our eyes out with an ice pick. The bimbo slimeballs are not a love to hate they are an outright Hate! Bad choice TAR!

oops I really haven't had a chance to go over the time line.. mwooden, page one, first post is pretty up to date if you want to refer to that. According to an early report in USATODAY, the race lasted 28 days with the last recording on December 19. Also said teams travelled 45,000 miles.

The article doesn't add up ..I'm guessing that USA article was wrong Gman and the teams reportedly were on line on the 18th.

Based on nothing more than the guy's uniform here and the background scenery here--I know, it's not much--I'll go ahead and say the cap is from Maputo. (I wish I knew what's that thing on the left: a tail fin, maybe?) [attachment deleted by admin]

I was keeping an eye on this forum but I don't really have anything to contribute now. But you are welcomed to ask about hong kong. Also, i was busy holding my own Amazing Race Online game. Fwiw, an interactive PA street map here. The town square ("Sector Central Plaza de Armas") and Cerro de la Cruz are only about 4 blocks apart. [attachment deleted by admin]
