CBS changed up the original video promo just a little .. link There is one screen of what looks like Drew (?) ready to parachute maybe? Is this old or new? And how about the Chinese (?) dragons--old footage or new? And remember (in reference to the pink shirt discussion) we know that the BQ's have pink shirts! [attachment deleted by admin]

nothing much new on CBS promos today (so far). Same old, same old. But now stress that race goes to FIVE continents, 40,000 miles and 28 days. That sort of rules out both Antarctica and Australia. Can we add up the 40,000 miles?

They rode sailplanes in Season 1, and went to China as well. I'll dig out the dvd and see if the cap matches anything.

I can say that it is absolutely consistent with the expectation that teams will be going through SCL airport on the way in to Calama and later on the way from Calama to Punta Areans, so they will go through Santiago airport twice.

The dragons are from TAR10 EP3 Hanoi Vietnam..and I'm pretty sure Drews is old too..but its been so long I can't say 100%. Hi, I'm from Hong Kong and this is my first post. I think the dragons are from Hong Kong instead of Vietnam. The place is the harbour front of the Cultural Centre. I have searched some information about this picture. It is the opening ceremony about the fire safety campagine 2006 - 2007 which is held on 10 Dec. You can see the arch in the picture has some chinese words. It is "家居防火靠你我" which means the "preventing fire at home depends on you and me". And there are buildings behind. The tallest one in the picture looks like the Central Plaza. I was shocked when I saw that scene.

Hi Schwarzmoor. Thanks for helping; I was wondering why a panda was wearing a firefighter's uniform . Does the cultural center have an address than can be mapped?

Schwarzmoor! Thank you SO much for that info! I kept thinking that looked like HK but wasn't sure. We know our guys were in Malaysia on 12/10 but strongly suspect that they were in HK on 12/12. Would there be any way to find out whether or not there could have also been dragons at that opening on 12/12 also? And would you like to speculate on what, at that opening, the teams might have had to do as a task? I'm so excited ! We are VERY glad you are joining us--a great big welcome!

Floor matches... And from Wiki: The Hong Kong Cultural Centre (Chinese: 香港文化中心) is a multipurpose performance facility in Tsim Sha Tsui of Hong Kong. Located at Salisbury Road, it was founded by the former Urban Council and, after 2000, is administered by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong Government. It is a place for a wide variety of cultural performances.
The centre is located on the southwestern tip of Tsim Sha Tsui, on the former location of the Kowloon Station of the Kowloon-Canton Railway. Adjacent to the centre on the west is the Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier of the Star Ferry, while to the east are the Hong Kong Space Museum and Hong Kong Museum of Art. The historic Clock Tower stands between the centre and the pier. [attachment deleted by admin]

Ok, it's 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui ( here), on the other side of the harbor from Shau Kei Wan. Looks like the racers might need an octopus card after all .

From Frommer's: WEB SITE ADDRESS--has virtual tours Hong Kong Cultural Centre Hours Box office open daily 10am-9:30pm Address 10 Salisbury Rd Location Tsim Sha Tsui Transportation MTR: Tsim Sha Tsui Phone 852/2734 2009 Web site www.hkculturalcentre.gov.hk Frommer's Review Sandwiched in between the Space Museum and the Star Ferry concourse, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre is the territory's largest arena for the arts. Opened in 1989, this complex is a good bet for free music and events, including family shows on Saturday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:30pm that may include Chinese dance, a magic show, or music. Thursday Happy Hour, from 6 to 7pm, features Chinese classical music, Western music, puppetry, and other performances by local performance groups. Pick up a monthly leaflet of events at the Centre or call tel. 852/2734 32820 for program enquiries. Otherwise, the pride of the Cultural Centre is its 2,100-seat Concert Hall, home of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. It features a 93-stop, 8,000-pipe Austrian Rieger organ -- one of the world's largest. Two levels of seating surround the stage, which is set near the center of the oval hall. There are also two theaters, the Grand Theatre, used for musicals, large-scale drama, dance, film shows, and Chinese opera, and the smaller Studio Theatre, designed for experimental theater and dance
