What song would you like to hear?
« on: May 02, 2006, 03:28:32 PM »
One of the songs the artists will be singing tonight are songs out from the year they were born. With that in mand, what would eveyone like to hear?
For easy referece I've calculated (roughly) what year they were born according to thier age on the American Idol webpage.

Taylor - 1977
Eliott - 1979
Chris - 1980
Katharine - 1985
Paris - 1989

When all is said and done, there is nothing more to say.

Some possibilities
Taylor - I'd love to hear Taylor try something like Hotel California by the Eagles or Cold as Ice by Foreigner.
Elliott - 'I want you to Want me' by Cheap Trick or if Taylor doesn't do Eagles I think Elliott would do 'Heartache Tonight' fairly well.
Chris - Maybe 'You shook me all night long'
Katharine - These Dreams by Heart, Invincible by Pat Benetar,
Paris - This Time I Know It's For Real - Donna Summer

Just a few thoughts, and just doing some quick reference on songs from thsoe years.
When all is said and done, there is nothing more to say.

I'm sorry puddin, but I didn't care for it.  Maybe because it's not his usual style. :groan:

Elliott always starts off bad but gets so much better as the song goes on.

Not sure if I like this rendition. Try listening without watching it! It's just screaming. Nice Fire though.

No.. talk about Chris blowing it with his second song. YIPES!  :groan: :stirtp: :stirtp: :stirtp:

Loved Kat's second song, but geez it was odd to see her crawling on the floor, or is it just me? I wish she'd just sat on the edge of the stage for the entire song, or gotten up to sing the rest of the song.  However I did love the drummers for added accompaniment. Worked great with the song.

I can't say for sure now that Paris will go home tomorrow night, it could be Elliott.  :trashy:

Wow TexasLady, I have to agree 100%. Both of Elliotts songs were okay, but I really liked Paris' first song. Ironic how Chris and Kat both had bad songs. To bad America won't send one of them home.

I can't see either Kat or Chris going home. I thought Taylor did well enough to stay so that only leaves Paris and Elliott. (Actually I love to watch Taylor perform his manic style including singing the ending laying on the floor.)  :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

I agree with you, Paris did great with her first song. That is a prelude to what she will be someday when she has the stage all to herself because she really is a star in the making.

How about the red mood lighting and fire behind old Chris? Subliminal like a blow to the haid is.  (Little Texas lingo...)
