Thanks for the interesting story and photos of Phil, puddin.  I love him.   :hearts:
He's not only  :woohoo: handsome & an excellent host for TAR, but a very intelligent and talented person overall.  Cool that he has authored the book "NOW: No Opportunity Wasted" and that he's pursuing a reality show based upon the book...in New Zealand.

Hey puddin, I love that photo avatar of his raised eyebrow you were using!  I saw it in the current TVGuide for Apr 10-16.  Cool photo!  :-*  (hint)
 :hugs: Ruday

Hmmm....maybe I should change mine from Bo to Phil.  There is a great picture I like of him.  However, puddin thought of it first.  puddin, if you want the picture, I can post it or PM it to you.   :bny7:

That was a nice video interview with Phil.  I was amazed at 1) how much he looks like Wayne Gretzky with the Edmonton Oilers uniform on (which I'm sure was the point of it when he did it) and 2) how much he has lost the New Zealand accent from his youth.  Phil is a good guy.

Hey, isn't this suppose to be all about Phil??  He looks cute in those young pictures.  Phil is the perfect host for the Amazing Race.  He probably has enough material to write about the intersting teams that have crossed the mat in all the seasons.  That would be a good read.  has anyone read his book NOW?  I should get it and check it out.

Yeah Bathfizzy...SUPPOSED to be about Phil!  But some peeps are post crazy! (there's a name for that, but I'll not say it here!!)

BAaaaCK TO PHIL:  I'd love to read his new book "Now".  And I agree he should write a book about his TAR experiences and the racers on the mat.  I'm sure there's a lot more "mat" stuff than we see in the show that would be LOL entertaining!  :lol3:

Okay, you want to talk about Phil ok great.
Anyone see him in "No Opportunity Wasted"?

Also, several years ago I saw him in a show on cable called "Best of Both Worlds". I cannot find very much information on this and I've even checked out TV.com.
Did anyone else catch this? The show was about him and his co-host visiting various places. Both would experience the culture, but one would do so extravagently and the other would go as cheap as possible. It had a very unique quality to it, yet I have failed to find it again or discover which network it was on, though I'm suspecting the travel channel.

There were a couple of episodes made as part of a pilot. Here's the publicity sheet for when it started. I caught the Hawaii episode and to be honest it wasn't that impressive. Just me, I guess; I preferred watching Alex to Phil (and I prefer watching Samantha Brown to either of them).
Anyway, here's the Wiki article on Phil that mentions the show as part of his resume. There's also some interesting extra information: for example, if you want to bribe him, bring along some Whittaker's peanut slabs.
