The actor playing the prisoner is Michael Emerson,
those who saw SAW will remember him as Zep
the hospital orderly. He is supposed to be signed on
to Lost for at least 6 episodes. It might be easy for them
to keep him a hinden for now but someone is bound to find out.

As for Ana Lucia I'd have to say that I really hated her when
she first joined the lostaways, but so far she hasn't done anything
to drive me nuts. I think after seeing her flashback I understand
more of why she acts that way.

After seeing most of their background stories I'm surprised they are not all insa...n...e....
Hmmmm, I think I just cracked the series. They are all in a psych ward having the same delusion!!!!!!!!!
Sounds doable to me.

What a very interesting episode this week. - A few passing thoughts.

1.) Flashbacks occur only on the island, that must be a "Lost" first.

2.) Rousseau turns out not to be the villian everyone thinks she is. I love this actress, she was great in Babylon 5.

3.) Smiliey is a disguise? Did you notice the stage glue, fake beard and ratty clothes?

4.) I'm beginning to think the "others" are conducting an experiment and drew the plane down to the island somehow.

5.) No Charlie in this episode?

6.) Sawyer holds all the guns but just hands one over to Kate? That does not make sense.

7.) Echo seems to know something, if not, what exactly was the thinking? Who does he think the guy is?

8.) Lock certainly feels like he's sold out, doesn't he? This guy is so an 'other'. He was planted there so throw them into disarray. He knew he was going to be captured and put there.

What do you all thik?

I think your thoughts have passed now. LOL.

With all this talk of people getting sick (in the past tense) I have a feeling someone is going to get sick (island disease) and die or be killed bc of it.

Hummm ...... good thought!!! I have been thinking it is some kind of mind control experiment for a long time!!!

If Locke gets tricked again, (last time Sawyer tricked him) it will be like twice in the last couple of episodes!!! Come'on Locke!!!  :groan:

Sure it does!!! Guys are notorious for letting their "little brain" do all the thinking when a pretty female is involved!!!  :cocky:

I understand that, but it still doens't add up in my book. I guess Kate is right, he does want everyone to hate him. But by handing her the gun, it shows that he really cares.

We already know that Sawyer has a thing for
Kate so its not hard to see why he gave her a gun.

As for Locke, he is just a man with complex. He knows
that Jack is calling the shots and to hear it from someone
that just met them bothers him.

But I do have a question. Did I miss something somewhere
because I don't know why Eko cut his beard off? ???

I think that the "others" are doing some sort of experiment with
the lostaways. Why else would they need to play dress up?

Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to find out because
the next new episode doesn't air till March 22.  :'(

Eko had been growing those two beard pieces after he killed two of the "others" back when they were originally attacked. By cutting off the two pieces and giving them to the man, he was telling him he knew he was an "other" and at the same time trying to apologize for killing the two men. I guess it's some kind of ritual thing, but I'm not real familiar with what kind of ritual. Anyway, that's what they were saying on the official Lost podcast.

Possible spoiler

Bit of Trivia for you all.
The guy that said he crashed on the island in a balloon? His name is Henry Gale. Dorothy Gale from the wizard of Oz knew the wizard because he said he came from Kansas in a balloon which she almost used to get back home. Dorthy's uncle name was Henry Gale. Coincidence???

Nice trivia!  Did you remember all that or did you read it somewhere??

Has anyone else noticed that the Lost characters wear jeans a lot?  I mean, they are on a tropical island, and you'd think that by now they would be wearing LESS clothing to stay cool, or anything besides hot and heavy jeans!  Oh yeah, this IS a family show!    :rotf:

Yea, this was summed up for me in a "Lost" podcast. I"m just not sure what it means, are they saying Henry is really lost? Or are they trying to trick us?
