This is what Diane was talking about. I wish I could make it again.

"Survivor" fans are in for a treat.

Forty former contestants of the CBS reality series will be in the area June 27 and 28 for the "Festival of the Reality Superstars" at Harrah's Casino and Hotel in Council Bluffs.

Fans will have several opportunities to interact with their favorite "Survivors," including four of the $1 million winners - Jenna Morasca from "Survivor: The Amazon"; Tina Wesson from "Survivor: The Australian Outback"; Ethan Zohn from "Survivor: Africa"; and Vecepia Towery from "Survivor: Marquesas."

The festival is a fund-raiser for four local charities: the Nebraska AIDS Project, Omaha Food Bank, Nebraska chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Public Interest Law Forum at Creighton University.

The event is being organized by Omaha native John F. Carroll, a former cast member of "Survivor: Marquesas."

The event is the second fund-raiser Carroll has organized since appearing on the show. Last year's softball game with 15 "Survivors" helped raise money for the Nebraska AIDS Project.

"I realized that once I was on the show it would give me a platform to do this on a much larger scale, to give something back to the community," Carroll said. "Nowhere have this many Survivors come together in one location."

Among the activities:

• "Coors Light Go Tribal Party and Auction" will be June 27 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., for people 21 and older. The party begins at 6 p.m. with a red carpet entrance featuring all the "Survivors." A silent and live auction to benefit the Nebraska AIDS Project will feature former contestants as auctioneers and will include "Survivor" memorabilia. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling (712) 329-6000 or visiting www.realitytvsuperstars.com.

• "The Festival of the Reality Superstars" will be June 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. outside at Harrah's. Admission is one can of food for the Omaha Food Bank. Activities will include autograph sessions, interactive games, a golf scramble, talent competition and a question-and-answer session with the "Survivors."

• A luncheon June 28 at 11:30 a.m. on the upper decks of Harrah's riverboat will benefit theCystic Fibrosis Foundation. Tickets are $100 a person; $500 for a table of six with two former contestants; or $1,000 for a table of six with one former contestant and one "Survivor" winner.
