Do you watch 24?
« on: May 07, 2003, 02:25:01 AM »
I know this message board is all about reality shows but does anyone else here watch the show 24?  It stars Kiefer Sutherland?  I am a huge fan of the show and tonights show was right up there in excellent.  There are only 2 more shows left to fill up the 24 hours.  Even if you have not followed the show, you can catch on as each episode has a recap on what happened previously.  All I can say is today's show could be titled "payback" as every evil/bad person got what was coming to them!!!! I can hardly wait for the last two episodes.

I love 24. It's one of my favorite shows. I haven't watched last nites yet. I'm so glad it has already been renewed for next season. What other shows do you watch?

Hi Spooky, so glad I have found another 24 fan.  Hope you have been able to watch last night's show.  Other shows I love watching are Alias, Boomtown, CSI (original), Without a Trace, American Dreams and 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter.  How about you?

My son took the 24 tape to his apartment so he and his roommate could watch it. He's going to bring it back tomorrow, so I'll get to it this weekend. That's when I usually watch it anyway. I also love Alias! I haven't watched the season finale or the ep before that yet. Did you ever watch La Femme Nikita? It was one of my all time favs. The creators of Nikita are the ones who have done 24 and Alias. Other favorite shows are Third Watch, CSI, CSI Miami (the original is still my favorite of the two, but Miami is growing on me), Enterprise, Stargate SG-1, Without a Trace, ER, West Wing, Friends and John Doe.

Hooray another Alias fan.  The two hour finale is interesting as it sets things for the next season but the final 5 minutes is good.  I only saw a couple episodes of Nikita (my husband loved that show).  Did you ever see the movie that Bridget Fonda did based on the same Nikita type character.  I cannot recall the name of the movie but it was good.  Bridget's character was trained and hired to do jobs and kill people and she always listened to Nina Simone music to calm herself down.  When I remember the title I will post again.  I just finished watching Without a Trace tonight and it was good, part 2 is on next week.  I haven't seen CSI yet as I was busy watching the hockey game where the Canucks ended up losing (heartbreaking for me)

I haven't even heard of that movie. I think you would like Nikita althouigh it the kind of show you need to watch the episodes in order starting with season 1. It's on the Oxygen cable station now.

CSI was really good. Haven't watched W/O Trace yet either. Turned on the Maverick game and they beat Sacramento 132-110. ;D ;D

Bravo to the Mavs for winning a game. Go Mavs Go.  I just talked to my husband and the Bridget Fonda movie is called "Point of No Return"  If you get a chance, rent it.  I don't have the Oxygen Cable.  Actually we have very basic cable as it costs too much for the other channels plus our internet service.  We have cable internet service which is about $40/month and then it is another $25 for basic cable.  I will have to look for reruns of Nikita.

24 just gets better every week. This season is so much more complex than last. Can't wait to see what happens in the last 2 eps of the season.

I will rent the movie soon it sounds good. Thanks for telling me about it. :) :)

I am assuming you watched the show where Tony knocks out Chapelle, Kim (who always gets kidnapped) finally has the guts to blow someone away with a gun and twice at that and scheming bitchface Sherry gets stabbed!!!  I am sure that Jack will leave Sherry to chase down Alex.  What an excellent payback show!!  I agree, Season 2 is way better than Season 1.  But I had heard that Season 1 had only about 10-12 shows written before they decided to continue and that is why the middle shows of the 24 hour were lame and farfetched(wife and daughter kidnapped and boring stories, etc.).  Justice will be served when Mike and Prescott are arrested for treason and Palmer is reinstated as pres and Lynn becomes the vice pres. with Jack as his private security agent or something like that.  Yea I am so looking forward to the last two episodes. ;D

It seems like there are too many loose ends to take of in just 2 more hours. Just have to wait and see. I already can't wait for season 3!!
