S39: "Boston" Rob Mariano (Mentor)
« on: September 09, 2019, 11:57:58 AM »

"Boston" Rob Mariano

Mentor

Age: 43
Previous seasons of Survivor: Marquesas, All-Stars, Heroes vs. Villains, Redemption Island (winner)

What specific accomplishments do you think ultimately earned you the moniker of "Idol" when it comes to Survivor?
I've played Survivor four times over the course of nearly two decades. I have seen the evolution of the game and I am proficient in the three main aspects of the game: the social component, the physical component, and the strategic/psychological component. I wouldn't necessarily call myself an idol—I didn't come up with that idea—but I definitely know what I'm doing!

What do you think you can teach the new castaways to help them become Sole Survivor?
I understand the basics: everything from how to start a fire, build a shelter, and catch fish. And the more complex, social dynamics of the game—and of course, different strategic approaches.

How will being a mentor present a different challenge for you than actually competing in the game?
I think the hardest thing about being a mentor for myself is not being able to actually compete. I am competitive by nature, so to stand on the sidelines and watch the game being played is going to be difficult.

Given that you're not playing Survivor in the traditional sense, what element of the game are looking forward to NOT having to endure?
The fact that they can't vote me off will give me time to really enjoy the survival aspect of the game (camp life). My background is in construction so I plan to concentrate on building the ultimate shelter. The best one Survivor has ever seen!

Yeah, he must be proud of himself winning the one season that had the dumbest players in the history of Survivor.

For me the funniest running subplot of the season so far is how hard they're going out of their way to avoid mentioning the fact that he lost three times. The way they talk about him, you'd think he was four for four.

Let's also remind ourselves that he lost TAR twice before winning his first Survivor. He's also lost other things I've seen him compete on, like poker tournaments. So he was practically 0/6 at least before being given a "win" on RI.

Iam curious, Cirie considered one of the best player ever, but since she never won on her 4x play the game, to u she even worse than Boston Rob?

No, because I like Cirie. She never played with a cast as bad as RI's. And she made Final Four in both of her first two seasons while Rob didn't even make jury on his first.

Sure, Eric was not bad & dumb, infact he's one the most brilliant player in Survivor history, so brilliant that he gave that cursed necklace to Natalie
so basically, u hate Boston Rob that u cant see that he is the best player in Survivor history
maybe someday when u got enlightenment and your heart cleansed from hate to Rob and all people in the world, u will see that:
1. On their first season Cirie on winning tribe, Rob on losing tribe, and dont forget Cirie almost got vote out second, Rob on majority alliance before they swap tribe
2. On their second season Cirie on 4th, Rob on second, got the girl and the money
3. On third season pretty even, but Rob stay longer than her, on season where all players are not brilliant as Eric, Cirie had hard time
4. On fourth season, Rob won, Cirie didnt
5. Rob make machoman like Lex cry, slam captain America, won many challenges, Cirie cant even cross the  balance beam
6. Rob execute a perfect cult like strategy, Cirie like Sandra only coat-tailling somebody else, great strategy, but still coat-tailer
This is why Rob is the best player, alongside Parvati and Kim S, i can break it down some more for u, but i doubt it will go through your black heart and thick skull

Erik was one person. I'm talking about the majority of RI's cast.

I don't need to listen to what you say anyway, and your insults should be perceived as unneeded. I hate Rob and that's that.

Cirie didn't even get voted out in her last game. Remember that. You also shouldn't compare anyone on FvF to the likes of Natalie Tenerelli or Ashley Underwood.

Not sure why you're deciding to come at me and argue with me over something as dumb as this, but what can I expect from some kid who posts those annoying emojis in every post they make? Give me a break. Good for you that you adore the arrogant prick that is Boston Rob but the good of us don't. What, you like Russell Hantz too?

I dont like Boston Rob as a person, but i still can see his brilliant game and he is the best player so far
not many can execute manson style gameplay
well u shot first, rumbling about Rob never win anything, so i break it down to u:
he won S22 and in All Stars they vote AGAINST Rob not FOR Amber
and yes Russell Hantz sooo hilarious when he talk about he is the greatest player ever play, perfect for Legend on their on head on S40

I didn't shoot first. You started the personal insults with the "black heart" and "thick skull" comments. And I doubt you are Rob himself. But that's enough now.

being given a "win" on RI
being given a "win" on Kaoh Rong
being given a "win" on Samoa
they just dont understand
Survivor is all about human psyche, Natalie T is not dumb but is on a cult
thats how good is the execution of the cult strategy on S22
