Big Jump+ Double Dutch is intriguing me...

Could it be a tandem jump?

Can't think of anything else except jumprope lol or the strapped to the windmill TAR did once before

I was thinking jump rope as well, though it doesn't seem to be particularly a part of Dutch culture. I did a search on the term Double Dutch and it also brought up some language games rather like Pig Latin, though once again it doesn't seem like a Dutch cultural practice. More American than anything else.

I might have mentioned this earlier, but most or all the Rotterdam area locations could be reached via public transportation (i.e. Light Rail).

From Rotterdam Centraal station they could ge to Den Haag with the RET E-line light rail.  Similarly, to get to the Schiedam windmills they could take the RET D-line to RET A or B-line  light rail.  Amsterdam is way too far away, IMHO.  But this is all just speculation till the episode airs.

Oh God! Please! We really need a method of transportation that is not a taxi.

Euromast in Rotterdam could be visited tbh, especially with that description of a jumprope and everything.

Currently in its 27th season, the U.S. version of The Amazing Race heads
from France to the Netherlands in Friday’s episode, where two-wheeled
transportation is likely to factor into a challenge.

“We’re going to
Rotterdam, an absolutely spectacular city,” said Keoghan. “It’s a country that
is very advanced, they love technology, they love bicycles of course – any
excuse to get a bicycle in the show is good with me, so you might see some
pedalling – but it’s also one of the busiest harbours in the world.”

A direct train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam takes only about 30 minutes, taking any other form of transport = instant death.

This thumbnail is taken on the kraneschipbrug (viewpoint here: if you turn the camera around you can see Vessel 11 on one side and the water-taxi hire on the other side). Which means Justin and Diana...either they're the team that decided to do some sightseeing or they got lost.

I'm confused...we think they leave Paris late afternoon early eve...and spend the night in Rotterdam.

So why are teams doing tasks in what looks like late afternoon --early afternoon light?

10:03 PM
Saturday, July 4, 2015 (GMT+1)
Sunset in Rotterdam, Netherlands

Could this be keep on racing from Paris and the sleepover comes mid leg...and not right after arriving fm Paris? ???

Maybe RB >>sleepover>> Detour in AM>>Pitstop Hague

Or what part of the leg is done on arrival?

**just obsessing**

I'm not an expert, but it looks like the Justin/Diana pics are morning light.
We know they overnighted at Vessel 11; after the morning release, you can see Justin/Diana looking for directions (the shot that Boingo found--viewpoint here) and pictures (#39-46) of them walking the Erasmus bridge. So they're trying to find the water taxi or the jumprope  (the jumprope was also close--approx. here) and overshot--or they were sightseeing.
The route marker picture you posted was just outside Vessel 11--see the checkered tile and background buildings here.

OK, now we have a Maritime Museum connection.....

The girls are reading their clue next to the V11 Lightship (restaurant) at Leuvehaven harbor near the Maritime Museum (Rotterdam).

According to this site, a team of two can travel from Leuvehaven/Centrum (assuming that's where they'll board) to Kinderdijk for about 45€--much less if teams go together, but I doubt if they're interested in saving money.

:funny: FWIW, this is the Nolet Distillery windmill in Schiedam.

... wonder if the racers will make a quick visit to 'the world's tallest windmill' and 'throw back' a couple shots of 'Ketel One' vodka before they greet Phil.... if they can still find him...    :grins:
