I'm going to rank the cast of Survivor Cagayan. That's really all there is to it. I'll be giving each castaway a score out of 100:

Gameplay (10)
Good strategy and overall intelligence earns points in this category.
Entertainment (30)
If a contestant is extremely boring ON THE SHOW, they will not get many points here. Those with funny/witty confessionals and those who have fun on the island earn more points.
Likability (50)
Self-explanatory. Contestants that are hard to like will get a low score here.
Development (10)
Does this castaway develop as a character, or do they lack personality? Even abrasive or negative personalities can earn points in this field.

The castaways are simply ranked by their overall score. Lower scores are worse castaways, while higher scores represent the better castaways. Keep in mind that this is purely my opinion, so don't get TOO mad if your favorite does poorly.

GAMEPLAY: 4/10 [Rank: 12/18]

One of the main defenses for this awful character is his 'gameplay'. While he wasn't an awful player, he wasn't really that good. Throughout the game, he's often too selfish, immature, young, etc. to make the right move to save himself. The most notable example of his self-centered, detrimental gameplay was in the Final 8, when he failed to get Jefra to actually flip. If he had shown/told Jefra about the idol he had at the time, the chance that she would have flipped would have been greater. Instead, Spencer keeps the idol to himself until the last possible moment, plays it incorrectly, and gets put in an even deeper hole. He also could have prevented Kass from flipping had he done something about it. Overall, he's not a very good Survivor player, imo.


ENTERTAINMENT: 0/30 [Rank: 18/18]

What an absolute bore. While Tasha still managed to have fun despite being on the bottom, Spencer had no fun at all. Honestly. For a "superfan" he absolutely hated his Survivor experience. I don't think I need to elaborate. If you disagree with me, watch his final words (Survivor: Cagayan Tribal Council Voting - Spencer). He called his experience "miserable", which is just so... ugh. How awful. He's not even fun to hate, lol.


LIKABILITY: 1/50 [Rank: 18/18]

The reason Spencer is in dead last, however, is because he's a loathsome, arrogant mess. The signs were there from before filming even began. WATCH HIS PRE-SHOW INTERVIEWS. They're dreadful. As the season progressed, Spencer dropped a barrage of unfunny and mean-spirited insults towards other castaways, especially during the merge. Some 'notable' confessionals:

"OEMGEE I CAN'T BELIEVE I LOST TO A BRAINDEAD WEASEL LIKE KASS  "
"WOO YOU ARE TONY'S DOG LEL  "

Everything he said just plain SUCKED, even if it was true (Woo being Tony's pet). By the end of the season, I wanted to punch his face in repeatedly. The worst part about Spencer, however, is his fanbase. Oh, his fanbase. While many are merely fans, nothing more, there are others who actually think he's ATTRACTIVE. I honestly cannot see anything attractive about him, no lie. He's not hot. His hair during the show looked like a Chia Pet! He's a superfan though, so he gets 1 measly point for at least being somewhat knowledgeable in Survivor.
I honestly don't want to write anymore about how unlikeable he is, so let's move on to the final category.


DEVELOPMENT: 5/10 [Rank: 13/18]

Spencer got a lot of screen time, so he (naturally) should have a lot of character development. For some reason, however, he only developed an average amount. There isn't much to say here, except that he whined/complained the whole season and was always in a terrible position. Yeah, that's about it. I don't want to waste any more of my life to Spencer Bledsucks.

I don't get Spencer hate. He's over-rated, yeah, but he's an entertaining player and it was pretty fun watching him and Tasha be the only two out and yet survive just a little bit more because of Tony's paranoia.

Troll? No. Spencer is horrible because he's fun-sucking, arrogant, and overrated beyond belief. His comments are cringe-worthy and don't seem sarcastic at all - he's been serious when he calls Kass a braindead weasel.

Calling me a "hater" is one of the most immature gestures I've ever seen on this site. At least the other posters said "he's overrated but I wouldn't put him last". I knew this would be controversial, but... seriously? I have EVERY right to hate an RTV personality. I don't hate Spencer as a person, just as a character. If you can't handle that, maybe you shouldn't read this thread, Cocoa.

GAMEPLAY: 4/10 [Rank: 11/18]

David didn't play a very good game, which is expected of the first person voted out. The fact that he singled out the strongest person on his tribe within ten minutes of the game starting is hilariously stupid. Maybe it's wrong that he has the same score as Spencer in gameplay, but he wasn't THAT terrible, and he gets slack for going home first (didn't have a chance to redeem himself). Overall, had he chosen Kass (who easily looked the weakest), he may have stayed longer.


ENTERTAINMENT: 6/30 [Rank: 17/18]

David's biggest offense is how unbelievably boring he his. Oh. My. God. His voice is a monotone, and he's such a strategy-bot. He arguably had less fun than Lindsey was having before she quit. He does get SOME points because of funny his failures were, but he's one of the most boring contestants in the season, no contest.


LIKABILITY: 4/50 [Rank: 17/18]

David was not likable, not one bit. Despite being boring and forgettable, he was unbearably smug and had a bigger ego than Spencer. Honestly, had David not gone first, he would be WAY worse than Spencer. However, he went first, so the viewing audience was spared more of his smug, egotistical behavior. Sorry that there's not much to write about, but he was terrible and forgettable, so yeah.


DEVELOPMENT: 3/10 [Rank: 16/18]

He's a first boot, so he didn't develop much. He honestly could have been a much stronger character than he ended up being, so he gets an abysmal score in this category.


I apologize if my Spencer write-up was overblown or rude, but I felt that it was necessary because he was the Fan-Favorite of the season. (I think I've mentioned Spencer more in this write-up than David.)

16. LJ MCKANAS
FINAL SCORE: 22/100


GAMEPLAY: 4/10 [Rank: 10/18]

Honestly, LJ wasn't all that good of a player. The only memorable thing he did that was actually good was forming a majority alliance on Solana, which excluded my favorite Beauties [spoiler?]. Cliff's blindside was mostly orchestrated by Trish and Tony, and his idol play at the F11 tribal council was hilariously bad. He wasn't a BAD player, but didn't do very much to keep himself in. He pretty much floated along until he was blindsided at the F9.


ENTERTAINMENT: 6/30 [Rank: 16/18]

LJ was unbelievably boring. I can't name a single fun thing he did. The "hot vs cute" confessional was barely funny at all imo, and every other word that came out of his mouth was in a monotone. He was pretty much a toneless strategy-bot who lacked very good strategy.


LIKABILITY: 10/50 [Rank: 16/18]

LJ was responsible for ostracizing and eliminated some of my favorite castaways, and made the most boring pre-merge alliance in the history of anything. The Beauties were a massive bore and disappointment, mainly thanks to Leon Joseph McKanas. He does earn SOME points for aligning with a few good castaways on new Solana, but, for the most part, he was a bore that had terrible choice in allies and targets. Later on, he criticized Trish for how she said she wasn't sad to be voted out. What a pretentious loser.


DEVELOPMENT: 2/10 [Rank: 18/18]

He pretty much sat there and let Trish and Tony save him over and over again, including flipping and idol plays, until he was backstabbed by his best friend in the game. His strategy was to be lazy and boring the entire game, and he never wavered from that strategy until his elimination. He was boring, one-dimensional, and was getting close to ruining the season.

15. JEREMIAH WOOD

GAMEPLAY: 3/10 [Rank: 15/18]

I think we can all agree that Jeremiah wasn't that great of a player. For the most part, he played a very minimal role in the outcome of the series. The main notable strategic move he made was flipping on Brice and Morgan, which ended up being detrimental to his game. He also hid the fact that he was a fashion model, I guess.


ENTERTAINMENT: 11/30 [Rank: 15/18]

For the most part, Jeremiah was pretty boring and invisible. I thought it was funny how he revealed his true profession right before he was eliminated, but other than that, he didn't have too many all-star moments. He lacked screen time throughout the season.


LIKABILITY: 15/50 [Rank: 14/18]

I'm not a huge fan of Jeremiah. He flipped on Brice and Morgan, which is a cardinal sin in my book. The Bricegan alliance was much more favorable than the LJefralexis boredom alliance, but we had to deal with the latter all thanks to Jeremiah. His accent/talking is also extremely annoying. He earns points because he's not mean and was a good example of an underdog who still had fun on the island.


DEVELOPMENT: 2/10 [Rank: 17/18]

Jeremiah didn't develop much at all. He was mostly a background character who wasn't always liked by his fellow castaways. He was never in a very good position after flipping on Bricegan, which stayed true until the very end. We didn't get enough insight into Jeremiah's personality, which is a shame. Whatever, what's done is done, and Jeremiah is boring and one-dimensional. End of story.

14. JEFRA BLAND HINES
FINAL SCORE: 35/100


GAMEPLAY: 2/10 [Rank: 17/18]

Jefra was not a good player at all. She simply rode the coattails of the alpha male (LJ, then Tony) (ironically, LJ did the same  ) until she was blindsided in the F7. Honestly, her gameplay reinforces negative stereotypes of how Survivor women play the game, which is a huge offense in the eyes of a feminist like me. She never seemed to make the best move for herself, and found herself in a "screwed if I do, screwed if I don't" scenario at the F8. By the time she actually started to awake from her gameplay coma, she was eliminated. Thank goodness.


ENTERTAINMENT: 15/30 [Rank: 10/18]

While she was pretty boring, Jefra did have her moments. The "I'll have another rib to think about that" line was pretty funny, and she was almost an under-the-radar fun presence. She's also been described as a pretty interesting person, which (obviously) didn't translate into the show. Overall, she was half-boring, half-fun. Not nearly as boring as LJeremiah.


LIKABILITY: 13/30 [Rank: 15/18]

I do NOT like Jefra at all. As the season was airing, I called her Jefracist as a joke. She voted for Brice and smiled at J'Tia's elimination. However, it turned out that she actually IS racist. She called Cliff "shady" (lol) at the F14, and constantly wanted Tasha out. Along with that, she's part responsible for getting rid of some pretty awesome castaways in her obsession with LJ. Despite having Spencer as the other boot option, I CHEERED when she left (probably would have cheered had Spencer gone, too, but that's a different story)! Overall, she's Jefrawful and Jefracist and she needs to stay off of my screen.


DEVELOPMENT: 5/10 [Rank: 12/18]

Jefra developed a lot in her last two episodes, but was pretty stale for the most part. She could have been much higher on this list had she been given much screen time. Fortunately or unfortunately, she was mostly UTR/INV, so she had little to no personality throughout the season. The 5 points she earned were entirely for her last few episodes before her elimination.

She got married to Jared Hines, though, so congratulations to Jefra Hines!

13. LINDSEY OGLE
FINAL SCORE: 36/100


GAMEPLAY: 1/10 [Rank: 18/18]

Most of Lindsey's game was spent making fun of Trish and Tony. I heavily doubt that alienating members of the tribe is good gameplay by any means. She also latched herself onto Cliff and would do anything he told her to do. Worst of all, however, is how she pathetically quit after Cliff's elimination. Osten did weakb*tch earlier and better, Lindsey! Honestly, her quit could quite possibly be the worst in Survivor history, beating out even Purple Kelly's quit in Nicaragua. Ugh.


ENTERTAINMENT: 12/30 [Rank: 14/18]

While her arguments with Trish were pretty entertaining, they were more "Trish moments" than "Lindsey moments". Her anti-Trish shtick also got old really fast. Despite her hating/fighting with Trish, she didn't have any moments at all (except that reward challenge), so she cannot possibly earn many points in this field.


LIKABILITY: 17/50 [Rank: 13/18]

Finding much to write about Lindsey is actually harder than I thought. She's a strong woman, but she's really not THAT likable. She fights with Trish (spoiler: I love Trish) constantly, which is extremely pathetic. She acts like a teenage girl, kind of like the Beauties on New Appari. She was pretty annoying by the time she finally quit, and I was running out of patience watching the ridiculous Trish fights. Shame on you, Lindsie!


DEVELOPMENT: 6/10 [Rank: 11/18]

While Lindsey was a pretty stale character, the audience did get to watch her slowly deteriorate into a pathetic mess of a human being, which I liked. We got insight into who Lindsey was, but it wasn't all that great. Overall, Lindsey didn't change much throughout her short stay in Cagayan, but she did have personality.

12. CLIFF ROBINSON
FINAL SCORE: 39/100

Rounding out the "dislike" (yellow) category is Cliff Robinson.


GAMEPLAY: 3/10 [Rank: 14/18]

The reason why such an irrelevant castaway made it this far in the ranking is not due to gameplay at all. I honestly imagine Cliff focused very little on strategy while playing Survivor. He seemed somewhat like an old-school contestant, in that he's more about surviving than being a game-bot. The only strategy the audience really saw from Cliff was how he targeted LJ. Instead, Trish and Tony flipped, causing Cliff to be eliminated. Cliff only cared about numbers, not about having those numbers be loyal, which is a big mistake in Survivor.


ENTERTAINMENT: 12/30 [Rank: 13/18]

Like every single past elimination in this ranking (except Spencer), Cliff was very boring. He had a lot of potential to be interesting or relevant, but his presence in the game was very minimal and did not affect the game much as a whole. Woo didn't end up being on the bottom of his tribe because of Cliff, so... yeah. Cliff DID have fun during his experience, so he does earn entertainment points, but was such a supporting character that he didn't even support anything at all.


LIKABILITY: 21/50 [Rank: 12/18]

Cliff's saving grace is how likable he must be. Half of Aparri was literally OBSESSED with him, and he appeared to have a lot of charisma. I imagine part of the reason Cliff was targeted, along with being the ringleader of his alliance, was how much of a social threat he was. Not much else to say here.


DEVELOPMENT: 3/10 [Rank: 15/18]

Cliff, as stated earlier, was mostly a background character who was not shown enough on the show to develop as a character. He was stale and boring, which is what lands him in the dislike category of this ranking.

11. ALEXIS MAXWELL
FINAL SCORE: 58/100


GAMEPLAY: 6/10 [Rank: 8/18]

I realize this might be too high of a score, but it's far too late to change it. Alexis wasn't THAT bad of a player, honestly. While she wasn't an all-star, she aligned with the right people for her in the pre-swap phase. Her downfall is how she told the Luzon 3 EVERYTHING about what happened at Solana. She revealed her connections with LJ and Jefra, which made her flipping a very real possibility. In the end, the entire NuAppari tribe recognized her potential to flip, unanimously voting her out. Had Alexis been more careful, she could have done much better in the game.


ENTERTAINMENT: 14/30 [Rank: 12/18]

The reason why Alexis is 11th is because... she was boring. Like most of Solana, David, and Cliff, Alexis was barely featured at all. There were actually episodes where she didn't get any screen-time whatsoever. There wasn't much special about her, except for when she was gossiping about Morgan. That was interesting, I guess. Besides that, she hardly affected the season as a whole. She's so irrelevant that I have trouble even remembering anything she did.


LIKABILITY: 34/50 [Rank: 10/18]

Alexis definitely came off as a sweet and fun person on the show, but didn't get enough airtime to make me love her. She loses lots of points because boring =/= likable. She was robbed by the editors of being... good. She's just neutral to me.

GAMEPLAY: 2/10 [Rank: 16/18]

For the most part, Woo had a great strategy - stay under the radar until the end, and win due to likability over Kass. After Trish's elimination, I was SURE Woo would win, no question. However, Woo completely blew it by taking Tony to the end. I thought Woo was trying to avoid being voted off by being under the radar, but he was simply handing Tony the win. His gameplay was atrocious.


ENTERTAINMENT: 14/30 [Rank: 11/18]

Woo was too UTR to have many entertaining moments. The moments he did have (school reward, not knowing how tiebreakers even worked) were few and far between. He probably would have been a bit more entertaining if he was shown more, but what's done is done. Woo is mostly entertaining in an ironic way, anyways. He had a ton of potential for being UTRfun, but he wasn't quite as good in that area as I would have wanted.


LIKABILITY: 41/50 [Rank: 7/18]

I believe this is the first time a castaway has broken the top half in any category? Woo is obviously very easy to love. He's great with kids, hardly to never says anything bad about anyone else, and had a lot of fun while in Cagayan. His friendship with Cliff was adorable, and his face when Cliff was blindsided was funny, yet made me feel bad for him simultaneously. He also did a flip when he won the first immunity challenge, which I thought was pretty cool. The only reason he loses points here is because he seemed to never be shown in the merge without Tony right beside him (except when on rewards), which was a shame. Overall, Woo is a very sweet, honorable, and likable person.


DEVELOPMENT: 6/10 [Rank: 10/18]

Despite being so invisible at the start and at the early merge, Woo did develop a lot. Even though he was cruelly blindsided by two former tribe mates, he still aligned with them and grew close to them (Tony/Trish). While Woo became very stale towards the end, his Final 3 decision, while ridiculously stupid, showed that he cared more about friendship and honor than money and pride, which is a good trait to have in life (not necessarily in Survivor). I really wish we could have gotten more than Woo, but I bet that the editors showed as much interesting content involving Woo as they possibly could.

Umm, I really don't mean to insult anyone here, but this list is plain wrong and weird, Cagayawn.
Spencer is a great player no matter if you like him personally or not. Woo & Jefra are boring wrecks that did nothing, J'Tia is a crazy wreck, Garrett played stupid and Brice.... How could you place him above Spencer, LJ, Cliff or Alexis in the first place.....?

This is really my most hated fan-list of some sort that I've ever seen

...because this is a personal ranking. Personally I loved J'Tia/Garrett/Brice more than LJ/Cliff/Alexis because lolboring/lolboring/lolirrelevant which makes them not as good as J'Tia/Garrett/Brice because they are clearly much better and provide more entertainment. I disagree about Spencer but whatever, it's his ranking and he can do what he wants with it.
