Chateau, if you're reading, it'd be great to get confirmation as to whether the rest of the teams flew through Miami.

I'm fairly certain that the 4 teams you have on the Miami flight were actually the 4 that were in Dallas (graytex, based out of Texas, was the one who got us those really good/close photos of those particular teams)

It looks like teams may have had a task or two in Iquique the morning of 11 Jun, then perhaps took a bus down to Santiago? It's a 24h journey, getting teams in just in time for arrival at Plaza de Armas between 2 and 4pm of 12 Jun!

Well, teams could have flown as well, but Peach says here that teams started Leg 2 on 11 Jun. That leaves us too much time before we have to get to Santiago, but not enough time for much else!

Super quick summary:
9 Jun: Start, Los Angeles
10 Jun: Leg 1, Iquique
11 Jun: *travel*
12 Jun: Leg 2, Santiago
13 Jun: *break*
14 Jun: *travel*
15 Jun: Leg 3, Lisbon
16 Jun: *travel*
17 Jun: Leg 4, Svolvaer
18 Jun: *travel*
19 Jun: Leg 5, Gdansk

There might be a task or two in Leg 2 in Iquique on 11 Jun, before teams head to Santiago.
Teams were seen in Svolvaer late the "night" of 16 Jun. I'm assuming tasks take place the next day.
It is possible to fit an extra leg in Norway (Leg 4 > 16 Jun and Leg 5 > 17 Jun), but based on tradition it's unlikely.
Not easy getting from Svolvaer to Trondheim. Either going to be during the leg on 17 Jun or at the start of the next leg on 18 Jun.

Make that there IS a task! Will share when possible, but this is NOT spec. Teams were engaged until about 2PM.

If the leg beginning in Vienna (let's call it Leg 7) ended in South Asia or the Middle East, then teams would have arrived the night of 22 Jun or the morning of 23 Jun, and the "race day" would have been 23 Jun. Phil leaving the early morning of 25 Jun suggests another leg there on 24 Jun, in a close-by location.

Summary timeline shifted downthread.

Regarding Yangon:

We know, based on teams being seen at Vienna Airport on 22 Jun, that they would arrived that night and raced (be it Qatar or Abu Dhabi) on 23 Jun. That's Leg 7. We also know that Phil tweeted at 12.37am Qatar/1.37am UAE/4.07am Myanmar on the morning of 25 Jun. Finally, we know Phil was in Bandung by the afternoon of 26 Jun.

Are we able to fit Myanmar in? Phil could have arrived in Yangon by the morning of 24 Jun:
EY 402 from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok, 23/2140-24/0705
QR 612 from Doha to Bangkok, 23/2055-24/0745
PG 701 from Bangkok to Yangon, 24/0850-0940

And teams can do the same the next day, arriving for a Leg 8 in Yangon on 25 Jun. Phil can get to Bandung that very night if he leaves by the late afternoon:
MH 743 from Yangon to Kuala Lumpur, 25/1655-2110
QZ 8458 from Kuala Lumpur to Bandung, 2250-2355

Teams would travel the next day, giving us the Bangkok-Singapore sighting on the 26th:
TG 302 from Yangon to Bangkok, 26/1455-1650
SQ 981 from Bangkok to Singapore, 26/2100-27/0025
QZ 8366 from Singapore to Bandung, 27/0900-0940

Everything fits so far...
21 Jun: Leg 6, Vienna
22 Jun: *Phil in Abu Dhabi*
23 Jun: Leg 7, Abu Dhabi
24 Jun: *Phil in Yangon*
25 Jun: Leg 8, Yangon
26 Jun: *Phil in Bandung*
27 Jun: Leg 9, Bandung

Except two details. One: why would Phil, in a hotel room in Yangon, tweet about checking in for a flight at 4.07am? We can contort this (massive jet lag etc) to make it work, but Occam's Razor suggests that there was no Yangon, and Phil tweeted just after checking in for his flight from the Persian Gulf to Bandung.

Two: Why would teams need to go via Bangkok to get to Singapore, and waste the evening sleeping in an (albeit awesome) airport when they could just do this:
AK 1425 from Yangon to Kuala Lumpur: 26/1645-2100
QZ 8458 from Kuala Lumpur to Bandung, 2250-2355

Hence I'm going to disregard Yangon, and stay with this until more evidence comes up.
Updated at race end (2 Jul 2013):
9 Jun: Start, Los Angeles
10 Jun: Leg 1, Iquique
11 Jun: Leg 2A, Iquique (strange set-up!)
12 Jun: Leg 2B, Santiago
13 Jun: *Phil travels*

It breaks my heart too, but I agree, There are too many inconsistencies here, it is impossible to tell when this person actually saw Phil. And not sure he would have time for "many" convos about Myanmar during a race. Possibly this happened earlier?
