Helicopters are also a great way to throw in those HD shots that would really drive this location home

The weather is not on our side today, rainy, cloudy, low ceilings. Hope they DID get some pretty shots anyway!! :(

Juneau :hrt: A city other than Anchorage will be great. Does anyone know where a potential finish line may be?

:gaah: Why didn't I think of that? Cruise ships have webcams too.  :groan:
Find one through MarineTraffic, and fetch a camera.

i'm thinking of a flag memory challenge. teams will be given the outline of the flag with no colors. teams have to paint it with the colors provided

Depends how big the flags are. Portugal could be hard to paint if small.

i just remembered that portugal is kinda compliated to color, maybe in that case. teams will only color the background of the flag. as you can see the rest of the flags are very easy to color

I just joined last May. Can teams still be identified even if the crew's done filming?

It seems like the teams didn't return to Juneau after traveling by speedboat to Hoonah/Chichagof Island after the speedboating. It would take so long to motor to the zip line an then jet back. That's why Lemesuriur Island or Pleasant Island is my guess on the Finish Line and/or final task location.

If they did return back to Juneau, Mendenhall Glacier may be a hot spot for the finish line.

The only way to get there by highway is through Canada, and there's nothing particularly direct from there to Anchorage.
Also, when the Race most recently ended in Anchorage, the finish map was at an air strip that was well outside of the city. I recall it being something like 30 miles south. after teams had tasks in the city center and on the north side, IIRC.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar pattern this time, and probably something similar to the finish a few seasons back in Honolulu.

Do you have a number for that highway through Canada to Juneau? I think most Alaskans would be seriously bewildered to find that out. You cannot drive from Juneau to anywhere, except up and down the coast a few miles.

If you are talking about the Alaska Marine Highway.....then you can reach Skagway or Haines and then take highways into the Yukon Territories and connect with the Alcan Highway, but that is by ferry service only. The Alaska Marine Highway connects Bellingham, Washington with all the major cites of SE Alaska......and to other points north and west.

I think Juneau is spectacular. I wonder if Hoonah was the elimination station?
We will have to wait and see what the final tasks were.
WRP did a good job hiding many of the tasks and places.
I love the summer scenery in Alaska.
Getting around by boat was cool too, just like the temperatures.
I love the race over all and most places.

One thing to keep in mind is that tourists and visitors fall off the global grid in Myanmar, so it is possible for the Race to slip in and out without contemporaneous eyewitness accounts. We'd only see something once visitors were outside the country, and regain access to the internet.

Also, we don't traditionally get many spoilers from India legs.

I hate how they had 3 2 legs in one country... Have they cut the budget or something?

Can someone update the forum on how far the blonde F/F team got? As well as Boston M/F team? There's been a lot of confusion about whether or not the leg in Bundang was a NEL leg. Thank you!

Hi Picklelowpete..!  :bigwelcome

As far as I'm concern, Ashley & Ally finished their race in either the first LEG in Bandung or the second one, we don't have yet gather an accurate info on NEL in Bandung, but they took off from the city on Saturday (the day after the second LEG was held) and according to our sightings, Boston made it up until Tokyo, they could be racing further though! ;)
