TAR 23 Speculation and Discussion **of Spoilers**
« on: May 08, 2013, 04:18:18 PM »

This is where all the spoiler speculation/discussion of the TAR 23 race goes, NOT in the LIVE thread.

**NEW** Let's try keeping all the confirmed LOCATION info together so it is easier to find. So anything about a location we are sure of can go HERE.

All info about TEAMS can go in the Contestant thread HERE.

As always, per RFF's practices, we do not spoil the start location (if known) or any teams until it is believed that the teams are safely underway. We would never want to jeopardize a team's chances or to interfere with the start. But if you have info to share before then, we would love to know, so please PM or email me! Spoilers are treasured!

This thread will be opened once we know for sure the race has begun.

A couple of thoughts to keep in mind, based on past seasons:

If there's one flight headed to Dallas as a connector there's often a second flight that connects via Miami if the teams are headed to South America.

If teams were to be heading to Central America or the Carribbean, then a Miami connection would make more sense.

And if somehow, teams are connecting to Europe (always a possibility) the Race will have to avoid areas of central Europe that are experiencing flooding after heavy rainfall from a storm over the past few days. (Hungary and countries surrounding it at a minimum. It's the same storm that caused flooding in the central U.S. a couple of weeks ago and not the tropical storm that went up the east coast of the U.S. during the past few days.

Doesn't TAR not start flying teams until late in the day or night at the airport? Isn't it a little early in the day for them to fly?

You know guys, there's a huge amount of tweets with the tag "amazing race" but talking about the Canadian GP. That makes a little more difficult to survey the sightings. Who knows, maybe it's not a coincidence...

Perhaps they have to get to their destination earlier because its going to be a long leg (I hope)

I just checked & Dallas today has flights to Lima, Buenos Aires, & Sao Paulo. I believe we an safely assume that Buenos Aires isn't an option- they just went there in S20

I'm wondering if the photo of the cheerleaders taken at Gate 40 were on the LAX-Miami flight departing from Gate 41 and Dallas isn't a connection point.

Could they be headed for Los Angeles, Chile from Los Angeles, California?....I always wondered if they would do this, similar to TAR20 with Santa Barbara, CA to Argentina!

That would be welcomed greatly as opposed to an overused country

I'm guessing they will due Brazil because of the World Cup next year. And maybe they can do some sort of task relating to Confederations Cup which starts Saturday.
