Season 12 Top 5 Song Spoilers:
Diva Songs:
Amber Holcomb – “Without You” by Badfinger/Mariah Carey
Angela Miller – “Halo” by Beyoncé
Candice Glover – “When You Believe” by Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston
Janelle Arthur – “Dumb Blonde” by Dolly Parton
Kree Harrison – “Have You Ever Been In Love?” by Celine Dion
Songs from their birth year:
Amber Holcomb – “What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?” by Michael Dees/Barbra Streisand (1994)
Angela Miller – “I’ll Stand By You” by The Pretenders (1994)
Candice Glover – “Straight Up” by Paula Abdul (1989)
Janelle Arthur – “When I Call Your Name” by Vince Gill (1989)
Kree Harrison – “She Talks To Angels” by The Black Crowes (1990)

Let's just say Amber has #1 and she's... in danger. People don't remember the first person who sings usually.

Angie is definitely, without a doubt, going to have the most solid performances this week. Her song choices are SPOT on and I'll Stand By You is a really famous song, sang by previous Idol winner Carrie Underwood as well.

On the other hand, Candice's choice of Paula Abdul's song.... hmmm.... HMMMM.

Amber: The band was bigger than her voice? It was GREAT vocals. But was it a good performance? Some people are gonna LOVE it, some people are gonna HATE it. And I hated it. It was a snooze fest. She didn't make the song current and after Candice's performances last week of LoveSong, this pales in comparison.

Grade: A for (Vocals) definitely, but B for (Performance)

Angie: I gave her an A-, because I felt the whole song would have been better if she started it off with a piano for a few songs at the front. But i'm being picky. She's crazy, Angie. I'm telling you. She did a difficult song, STARTED the song and sent chills down my spine with her clear vocals. Sang a current song (see the difference, judges?)... and then towards the chorus, the arrangement of the song was CLASSIC GOLD. She just kept going UP and UP and the pitch kept going UP and she hit everything! WOW. SO GOOD.

Kree: Third straight standing ovation for the night. The whole song was I agree, with Mariah, a great key range for her. A pleasant song, a great vocal and a great personality. Shows her versatility and everything.. but I still don't think the song is current enough for the younger viewers of this show. But you know what, Kree's going to get votes anyway!!! :lol3:

Janelle: I really still think Janelle has a very marketable and pleasant voice to listen to. However Janelle, look at what your competition is doing. If they are doing ballads, don't stray to... a quick tempo song! That puts you in comparison with NO ONE and obviously, you are not going to have great comments. It was a good performance, but vocally? Sigh...

Candice: I felt that she did not get into the zone at the beginning of the song. BUT, she killed it at the end... I'm being picky here. But I don't agree with the judges that it was that inspirational or what. Again, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA for vocals, but... maybe A- for performance?

Amber: I hated it. It cannot never be in comparison with Mariah's version. I thought she made the song really old-fashioned and she was pitchy at times and went tooooo low at one point of the song.

Janelle: Such a clear vocal, a great key. She sang well and I felt that the judges were not giving her enough credit. It was a great performance. One of her best performances in this season.

Kree: Karaoke-ish, very mediocre performance. I did not like it. Bad song choice. I felt that it did not show her personality at all and it was not good enough at this stage of the competition so far.

Angie: What a heartfelt and sincere song. But I felt at times her vocals were restricted. But it was really a great great song choice.

I've never really been a fan of Kree... She's good, but nothing that excites me. I would love a finale with Angie and Candice.

Same for me.. Kree has great vocals nut i dont know whats not there for me to like her. I never listen to her song except on tv. Angie and amber's song are worth repeating everyday.. And i started to like candice last week. Im a fan of country song but i think i loved male country singers more than females. Thats just me.

Same with me. Kree is an awesome singer.. but Candice now has taken the top 2 spot in my heart. I was just talking about singing current songs and BOOM, she did it for this week and continued with her stella performance from last week.

Janelle has a great image... but her vocals are just not as strong. Marketable, but not strong at all.

Kree is getting really really boring.

Angie is as current as ever... but she doesn't have that ZOMGZOMGZOMG moment which Candice already had last week. She nearly had it this week with Halo, but for now Candice seemed to still be better than her this week. I might want to predict that it might be a Candice VS Angie in the F2 eventually? :O

I have the feeling that Angie is flying on cruise speed in this moment; as knowing that with that is enough to reach the finals. As we say here, she has an extra gear that she hasn't use yet; while the other (I think with the exception of Candice, which I felt the same way that Angie) are giving anything they've got now. They both do what they should do to advance, but in the decisive moment they going to use that extra gear that will probably make the huge difference.

BTW, is the same feeling I had with Carrie when she won.

I didn't care much for Kree last night. She is never "bad" she just wasn't as good as usual. I also thought Janelle was much better with her first song and disagreed with Jimmy. It was a good song for her, her second choice, the Dolly Parton song, was not a good choice at all.

Amber has steadily improved each week. but she's not given credit for it.

Amber first song was really good. But without you is just.... BAD. I listen to it on YouTube thrice to see if I'm wrong, but I really found it to be a mediocre rendition.

Besides Lazaro surviving, America is a good bunch of people this year and got it right most of the time. Janelle going is expected and not shocking.. but Amber not in the Bottom 2 is.. :O

That means the Top 2 votes belong to Angie and Candice most likely again.

AWWW THIS SUCKS. NEXT WEEK, THE 4 OF THEM ARE ALL SO TALENTED AND I DON'T WANT ANY OF THEM TO GO. :(

Amber gets the #1 death spot next week. :groan:

Amber, Kree, Candice and Angie... performance order. It's time for Angie to throw in a crazy performance. I think.

Couldn't believe that Kree was in the bottom 2, although I don't really mind. Kree will probably get the votes from Janelle...
