so like, we know from spoilers that there possibly could have been a VERY short pit stop.... my guess? its a TBC! it seems that the challenges in the leg (shemozzle racing, atv, jet boat) are very linear, so it would've been easy to execute a leg..... this is just a theory
if we see any confessionals from sneak peeks, we should check the backgrounds in case they are from Indonesia, then we'd be right!

Is TAR10's Finland to Ukraine not classed as a KOR leg? The clue even said, "Keep on racing!" I believe

KOR legs were created in season 18
That leg in season 10 was a double length leg, not a KOR :)

Keep on racing first happened in TAR 18 for the first leg in Australia where Jet and Cord came in last and on the leg Kent and Vyxsin were hopelessly in last place in China.

This is different from TBC legs because in this case, Phil tells the team that arrives first that they are the FIRST to arrive and they win a PRIZE... then tell them that HOWEVER, they have to KEEP RACING.

In Season 6, the first TBC appeared in Leg 6. Teams reached the pit-stop, but were told to KEEP RACING as well, but no prize was offered to signal the end of the leg. Or at least we did not see it.

Joab, I think you have the two flip flopped. TBC first occured in Season 18 (or that's what I thought).

I see a lot of opinion about Keep On Racing, but here are the actual situations for Double Length Legs:

AR6, leg 6a and leg 6b in Hungary - teams reached a point where viewers are told that it is To Be Continued, a double length leg. However, there is no effective difference between this and Keep On Racing (a label not used in Amazing Races until AR18) excess there was no finish mat and no first place prize winner

AR7, leg 8a and 8b in India - teams reached a Lucknow rooftop to be told "Still Racing". That sends them in leg 8b to the train station, where them board for a mystery destination which turns out to be Lucknow. There was no prize.

AR8, leg 10a and 10b starting in Salt Lake City, then throughout Utah to Old Faithful for leg 10a, then through Wyoming and Montana for leg 10b. There was no pit stop in between, so this was a "You are still racing. Here is your next clue." leg.

AR8, leg 11a and 11b starting in Montana, then to Montreal, with viewers in suspense on whether the Wheelers would quit finding  tickets somewhere in Olympic Stadium. There was no pit stop and no prize. 11b was the final leg of AR8, traveling to Toronto and then on a motorized boat to Joseph A. David State Park where the final ROADBLOCK awaited them.

AR10 leg 9 - teams in Finland found no finish mat but are told to Keep Racing, which takes them to the Ukraine.

AR18 leg 4 - teams finished in Lijiang, China, with the last 2 (Kynt/Vyxsin and Zev/Justin) being told "Still Racing", with the other 7 teams already started on leg 5 and Margie and Luke winning a first place prize.

I may or may not have all Amazing Race double length legs listed above. Whether they are Keep on Racing or just Still Racing is a totally irrelevant distinction for me. I do agree that a prize was awarded on AR18, leg 4, but who cares?

Don't know if this is relevant, but I found this on the Gary & Mallory fan page.

Two years ago Mallory and I won our first leg on the Amazing Race in Calcutta, India...

this website shows Phil and greeter for this Sunday's episode

http://tv.yahoo.com/photos/the-amazing-race-22-heads-to-new-zealand-1362179889-slideshow/the-amazing-race-like-james-bond-again-photo-674234978.html

:D

Phil's Grandfather ???

The important thing with this photo is that Phil and greeter at the mat means that it's a situation like TAR 18 with two legs and a no rest period at the pit stop. Unless there's something we're told when the episode airs that there's no hint of at the moment, it would not be a double-length or TBC or uber-leg (take your pick; it's been called any of the three of them at different times in different places.)

Wow, why are we trying to split hairs trying to define what is essentially the same thing? CBS doesn't even have a consistent way to do it, not even in TAR 8 when there were multiple double-legs in the same season. Sometimes Phil (and sometimes a greeter) is there, sometimes he's not. Sometimes there is a mat, sometimes there isn't. Sometimes the first team wins a prize, sometimes they don't. Penalties are carried over in the TAR 18 double-legs, which means they're not actually "separate" legs. But basically all the same thing, right? Also, all of them are TBCs, in that the first team(s) receive the news, then cut to the "to be continued" screen.

I'm still wondering about the idea that the TBC was unplanned, and a result of the long delay getting into New Zealand pushing the racers' arrival into the evening. We'll see how the overnight stay is managed (like if they used props or just an ad-hoc sign-up sheet or nothing at all) to decide!
