Medivac in Vanuatu
« on: July 22, 2004, 11:56:16 PM »
There were rumors floating around that Jeff Probst had been injured and was medicaved off the island and was replaced. These reports it now appears were false. However there is strong belief that a contestant had to be taken to a medical facility. Quote: "July 20 - It seems that the Survivor person medivacced out at the weekend was not the host after all."

wow thanks for the post brownguy.
it seems survivor contestants just can't
stay out of harms way. They should remeber that
they need to stay in the game not only by not
being voted but not being injured too.
Gonna be an interesting season this year.

I bumped this up ..we now know that it wasn't Jeff..possably a contestant?? somehting that could happen in the next few weeks? Pure speculation ......

From vanuatusurvivors.com
July 20 - It seems that the Survivor person medivacced out at the weekend was not the host after all.

July 12 - Will the next challenge be on Ambrym?  A helicopter departed this morning for the island volcano of Ambrym; the location of Vanuatu's most spectacular, and active volcano.  Two pilots on board; one local and one from the survivor team being shown the way? - stay tuned........

Survivors talk at last!
http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php?topic=2813.0

We heard a rumour that the show presenter Jeff Probst was injured in an accident where he cut himself badly with a bush knife cutting a coconut and was medivaced out and replaced by another compere. Is this true?
No he wasn't medivaced out and nobody replaces Jeff on Survivors. That is not true

Jeff Probst's pre-season promo spot  he mentions "someone will get burned"

Julie, Julie, I told you to use a good sun screen or you would get burned. "sigh"

Wasn't there a rumor that Julie got burned by Lava? I can't remember where I read that. Something I read last week to about Julie would be gone in the next week or so but not voted out. I didn't see both articles at the same place so, I didn't think anything about it then.

I heard that the contestants suffered from infected coral cuts and intestinal problems. That's all I know for sure.

Googled this~  http://www.fijiguide.com/cgi-bin/fijicon.pl?05-fv.fij

It seems that it would have to be something pretty serious. They have two doctors and three other medical personnel right there with them. If it was just some stitches or something like that they wouldn't call in medivac. Julie has asthma but i'm sure they would have oxygen and her meds close at hand.

I was getting all excited about the possibility of Jeff being injured, because what if it is him and Rupert comes to host a show, after all the opening promos did say he was going to be involved. Has anyone heard anything about Rupert coming on this season?

All i've heard is what Rupert said. They let him in on a twist and he was excited. I don't know if that means he is coming on the show or, they just told him what would happen on an episode.  :\/

Relax puddin! It's not like I was wishin' for Jeff to be injured, just thought it would stir things up. I am sure he will be fine.
I was thinkin' they were going to throw Rupert in as a reward when Dar was on the show. I don't think they should let him join the game. I like Rupert and I don't want to become burned out on the old hippie.
