The french version of Pékin express 2013 will be filming in a few days. The race will be in central america and begin in Cuba. The race will pass also by Mexico and the USA. The final leg will be at Miami.

And the winners were from Sweden

Times are Pacific Standard Time for the Western US. Her time would be 2 hours later in the afternoon.

Port Allen is near Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is the local port on the Mississippi River. On the surface it seems kind of an odd location to find TAR Israel and would be a 1500 mile backtrack from Las Vegas. However, I expect there is a lot of interesting things you could do in the Louisiana bayou country, so it's possible. The fact that they were asking for a ride makes me wonder if it's some version of Pekin Express that hadn't come to light before this. Perhaps it's something local.

Maybe they were at the Super Bowl yesterday. It's not that far from New Orleans. First team that cuts power to the Super Dome gets an Express Pass!

I've asked the woman for more information. I'll pass it along if she replies.

Good work, Zouly! I had a feeling it was going to turn out to be Pekin Express. For what it's worth, the plantation is about 100 miles north of Baton Rouge and Port Allen.

A short geography lesson here: Baton Rouge is northwest of New Orleans and Cheneyville is even further to the northwest. Pineville is a suburb of Alexandria, which is north of Cheneyville and is in more or less the center of Louisiana. So the teams headed north from baton Rogue and have headed back south and further west through Mississippi into Alabama to get to Mobile, Alabama which is located on the Gulf of Mexico.

Michael Oher is an American football player and the subject of the movie The Blind Side a few years back. It's a good movie if you haven't seen it.

I gave a ride to the girl and the cameraman in the above picture last Thurs 7 Feb. I took them from Montgomery Alabama to Dothan Alabama. Her boyfriend was not with her, they had been seperated by the show at the time. Her name is Julie and she lives on Corsica. Both her and the cameraman were very nice and I'm glad to see she is still in the race.

How can I explain you ?
The team who arrived in last postion at the step must give a ''passager mystère" (handicap) to the team less loved by them.
And if it's a non-elimatory step, it is the team in the last position who gets the ''passager mystère''.
It's only the ''passager mystère'' who are able to pratice autostop and host-keeping.

Clement, thank you for all your help! Your explanations have been most helpful and you've found several things we would have otherwise missed.

I hope to be able to find a way to watch this when it airs. Also, I would like to watch last season as the problems they faced with the flooding in Australia looked like it would be interesting television from the spoilers we were finding at the time. I'll have to see if it's on Youtube.

1- La Havana-Varadero-Santa Clara (Cuba)
2- Santa Clara-Trinidad-Jarguey Grande (Cuba)
