William Shatner - will the contestants have to "boldly go where no man has gone before"?

David Cronenburg - can you imagine what he would think of for detours?

Keanu Reeves - a detour could be a choice between the blue pill and the red pill

Would Nicholas Lea work? He's a Canadian, he can definitely do the creepy elimination pause like Classic Phil (he was Krycek on The X-Files, so he knows intense), he's got the right sort of personality... except he's 50 now.

Is it required to like the facebook page of the future contestants? People promoting themselves and told others to like their FB page... I've seen waayy too many couples exposing their effort to be on this race, so just incase one of them showed up in the sightings later on, i hope i can still track them..

Apparently the ParticiPaction duo applied ...

The Amazing Race Canada officially closed its open auditions as of noon Friday. And, while the show won’t officially announce which Canadian couplings will race across our great nation just yet, we here at Canada.com already have a clear favourite: Body Break duo Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod.

The couple, who have been keeping fit and having fun as partners in life and nationally televised ads for 25 years, claim to have never missed an episode of the American reality series. So when CTV announced that it would be putting on a Canadian version, Johnson announced the couple’s participaction on Twitter. “Joanne and I will be auditioning for #Amazing Race Canada as soon as the information is available,” Johnson sent to Body Break’s nearly 10,000 followers.
