Me too. But I can't find a match yet!. Andthere were tons of ferries along the Bund, and there are ferries to/in Mallorca as well...

Despite the fact that ferries from Mallorca mostly go to Barcelona - where teams can catch the Talgo to France -, none of the pics I found matches the cap we have. All the ferries are also painted with the companies colors and logos on their boards what doesn't seem the case in the one we have.

I live in Istanbul at the moment and I can confirm that ferry is from here, there is so many different types of them going around the city.

Well the ferry in the screen caps is NOT designed for open ocean. it is far too small and low draft for that. That is why I thought of Istanbul, across the Bosphoros. But after looking about a 2,000 pics of the ferries and water taxis in Istanbul....not anything even close. Not anything close in Shanghai, Bangladesh, Moscow or Amsterdam. Except for the funny ramp on the front, it does look like one of the Amsterdam tour boats, but it seems to large for that to me.

The ferry in the screen cap would fit in one of those Mallorca ferries!!

I did a search on Istanbul sightseeing tour companies and many offer Bosphoros tours and had several similar boats. I also saw a small pic of that island that teams went to in TAR7 and it had one of those type boats pulled up along side the island. So my guess is a sightseeing tour boat, not just a ferry.

It's in Moscow:   

A fairly small selection of rides but indicative of the way Russian parks are. A small area within the much larger parks, no entrance fee, you just buy tickets for the rides you want to do.

It's located just west of Sokolniki Park in Moscow.

There definitely is a Mega Disko ride in Coney Island, new in May 2010 according to the New York Times:

  when I first saw it, kinda reminded me of a young Peter I (the Great).  Or at least someone from that century.  I'm coming up dry on that one. 

FWIW, might be easier finding the "green colored building" (in Moscow?) behind him.  Find that, and you may find the statue.

The cast announcement today has shaken loose another sighting. From Facebook earlier today:

So glad the word is out. We met Josh and Brent on the Talgo Night Train to Paris in June when they were in the middle of racing and filming. Caroline and I will be watching on the 30th and cheering them on. Spoiler alert, when we met them there were four teams left!


I don't know if this is something we already knew or not, but it appears that the Beekman Boys are in the final four. They are getting one of the largest reactions on Twitter, so that will probably help ratings.  The fact that the Facebook poster doesn't mention other teams may be bad news for the Beekman Boys though.

Also, I'm not sure we ever nailed down which trains were used in France, so this may help with that.

About the trains, I found this:

The Talgo Elipsos Hotel Train provides overnight train service between France and Spain and Spain and Switzerland and Spain and Italy. Routes and travel times are:

Francisco de Goya - Paris to Madrid and Madrid to Paris 13h 21m
Joan Miro - Paris to Barcelona and Barcelona to Paris 12h 06m

The use of Barcelona as the transfer point from plane to train also makes great sense to me. There were 7 flights from Palma de Mallorca the afternoon of June 14. The Ellipsos train schedule that makes sense to me leaves Barcelona-Eastacio de Franca 2043 and arrives Orleans 0716 (note - there is no need to go to Paris since you would just turn around and come back). The smart thing to do (remember AR1) is to get off in Orleans, which is a much shorter distance from Tours than Paris is. The earliest train from Orleans to Tours is 0740 arriving 0856.

Also, just noticed that the flywheel in the shot with a Chippendale is not belted to the electric drive motor.  That means he has to keep it turning by muscle power.

Welll that is why I asked about why a ferry is needed. Since that lighthouse is located on  the far northeasten tip (Lands End) of Mallorca.....why not just drive to it?  You IDed the lighthouse in post 31.

What is the evidence that teams were in Ibiza? I guess I missed that too.

Because Google can mispelled words as human do.  When I was looking for the locations, they show me Formentero Lighthouse instead of Formentor Lighthouse.
If you, correctly, don't notice the ferry thing, I've couldn't see the mistake on it .  Put toghether this with the Ibiza tweet, and figured it out.
Still, as I posted in the Speculations thread, is a amazing place for a PitStop.

About Castell Bellver.  Bellver belongs to the municipality and it's open to the public; but since May of this year it can be rent for a 2.500 euros fee to any private use.

(BTW, if you're a non-profit organization, there's a 50% discount.  IDK if TAR qualify for this  )

For the record, it is about 85km from Castel Bellver to the Cap Formentero Lighthouse and takes about 80 minutes to drive.....no ferry needed.

It is  .  The Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror's Rumeli Hisarı or The Rulmelihisar Museum, on Istanbul.  And the bridge over the Bosphorus is the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.

I went over the draaiorgel sequence again and I didn't see #50 among the figurines. And we're running out of geography. Maybe it's from a past season.
