The starting line tasks have either directly or indirectly determined which teams make the first flight out, and thus, which teams are more at risk of being eliminated first.

So I guess even though it's 3 continents, it's not a bad route. Indonesia, Bangladesh, Turkey and Spain <3
But I guess since the prize is possibly $2M, they've cut the budget of the route.
If this $2M prize continues for the rest of TAR seasons, does that mean we will continue to have small routes? 
TBH, I would rather have a HUGE race route rather than this $2M prize.
After all only one team has a chance at $2M..
TAR19 went to these new amazing countries but some of the challenges disappointed..
TAR20 had a REALLY good route! It was actually an AMAZING route compared to recent TAR seasons.
But seriously, if $2M means smaller route, I'm not happy.
I was hoping to see Africa 3 seasons in a row (it was unexpected in TAR20) but sadly, not this time.
We'll have to wait and see what this season delivers.

I wouldn't worry to much about the possible 2nd million dollars coming out of the production budget. Since it is not a guaranteed prize, it is most certainly going to be paid by some Insurance company if it is, in fact, won. All WRP has to do is pay for the premium for the policy.

Jet and Cord ARE one of the most popular teams the race has ever had (1 of my faves also). Nadiya and Natalie are ok.....

I rewatched the Season 12 Finale:
Phil "10 CITIES, 4 continents, and over 30,000 miles..."

I rewatched TAR5 finale last night  and i noticed that Phil said at the finish line: 11 countries..
So they didn't count the US..and i know, there is no new country on this season, but there could always be a chance.

TAR 20 was horrible for me. TAR 21... a new change. At least we don't have Army and Wife owning the race and Whiney and Whiner complaining about how the rest of the teams suck whenever they don't win the leg... or Brendon and Majorbreakdown crying every few moments into the episode and saying something stupid.

They made this season cast seem as though they are a bunch of friendly teletubbies living together on a hill. <3

The only thing to <////3 is Amy and Daniel's BAD LUCK CABBY unfair elimination. But then again, there were ten teams and if they got eliminated this early, it really means it was not their race to win.

Idk, a lot of teams eliminated early had real potential. I don't think you can say that it wasn't their race to win, because any team could've been stuck with a bad cab. just so happens that it was my favorite team in the race. It sucks, but it happens.

Debbie and Bianca could've gone far, but they got turned around in Chile(?). Jeff and Jordan could've won, just had bad luck with their cabby in germany and couldn't catch up. Then there is Azaria and Hendekia, who would've probably won the race had they not accidentally bought business class. Lena and Christy probably wouldn't have won, but they could've made top 5 i bet. And then there are teams that make it to the end that don't deserve it at all (Dan and Andrew, anyone?). That is what is sucky but exciting about the race. Luck with taxi drivers, luck with locals, luck with tasks, luck with directions, luck with everything plays a huge role in the race, and it has eliminated some of the top teams. So you really never know who is going to be eliminated next.
