Didn't we have bull racing in the second India leg of TAR 4? (with mud, IIRC)

edit - Looks like Leafsfan and I had the same thought at the same time. :)

From TVcom recap of episode 7 of TAR4:

"ROADBLOCK  This leg's Roadblock required the chosen team member to take part in bull-racing. This was an Indian sport invented 100 years ago by local farmers. The challenge was to hang on to a team of bulls while going for a ride on a mud track the size of an American football field. If team members were able to hang on without falling off up until the end, they would receive their clue. However: If the team member fell off while other people were waiting, the person would have to go to the back of the line and wait for their next turn. These are the people who performed and completed this Roadblock: David, Reichen, Al, Jon, Tian and Chuck."

Since flying arrives 6:00 pm Tuesday and Bull Racing is in next day (Wednesday) daylight, the Train option, arriving Wednesday at 5:44 or 7:30 am, is effectively equivalent.

Chateau,
I think your schedule for flying is off by 24 hours. Teams can get to Jakarta by 1540 today (that being May 29 in east Asia for the past 11 hours) or earlier and get on a flight at 1640 and arrive at 1810 ON MONDAY MAY 29th.

NOTE: I stand corrected. It was me off by 24 hours.

one of the biggest and largest Indonesian community online forum that has been very helpful in spoiling TAR 19 is now being shut down... I don't know for how long, but I guess there's a security agenda...   :umn:

That Indonesian forum has members from all around Indonesia. So, it's going to be easy for them to look for the teams, even if they go to remote places in Indonesia. ;)

Yeah, I kinda waiting for it to be fixed too... However, some of the users from that forum had created a private group to discuss about almost all the spoilers (since TAR19), and not all users are invited. So, it's pretty hard for some to search for spoilers. :( :umn:

As a nightime arrival is expected in Bangkalan, first teams should arrive at bull race facility by 9pm-local, they will very likely be bunched together for a Wednesday 7am-local event, which should take place by 8pm EDT Tuesday.

When someone says Madura, there are at least three things that cross my mind: sate, barbershop and salt. I'm not surprised if there will be tasks related to them

All teams have arrived in Alun-Alun. Hour of Operations: 8 AM in the morning (about 9 hours from now)

Credit goes to my friend in Bangkalan, DavidPutra
Okay, let's sleep... I bet they're going to sleep too.

Anyway, does your friend know how many teams are there?

These are two places I predict to be the Pit Stop of leg 2 if they're staying in Madura:

1. Kraton Sumenep

2. Lombang Beach

I'm thinking after the bull racing (roadblock), they do a detour. Either something to do with salt production or making shrimp paste. Then go to Surabaya for pitstop. Next leg either stay in Surabaya or go to Bali, then from there Australia or New Zealand, then Europe.

Other detour options in Madura: something to do with batik, jamu (herbal drink), food or agribusiness (corn or tobacco).

Btw, Madura is very hot & arid. Teams would probably struggle tomorrow  :(

That's cool! Maybe they could be another alpha male team like Brian and Greg. Hopefully they are likeable and have a sense of humor.

Mr and Mrs Greenbeard have roller backpacks based on photos I saw of them, and reta said that the first team to arrive at the Shanghai airport and get tickets was the older couple with roller backpacks, so I think our first eliminated team was the older couple with the red bandanas. If only we could have info on who checked in when. Ah well.

Great spot Kiwi Jay! In Chateau's photo of them at LAX here, you can see them both wheeling baggage.

We know that the blonde twins were on the first flight to Shanghai, so these guys were probably very near the front. If Greenbeard did arrive at the airport first in Leg Two, its likely the twins might have finished first.

This picture shows the same
