GA895, most racers are in this flight.

Clue is
make your way to the Alun Alun in Bangkalan and "roll" with the bulls

The winner of this leg will win Express Pass!!!!!!
2nd leg winner win Express Pass...1st time...

Maybe there is a 2nd express pass. Do we know if the winners of the 1st leg got one?
No...we can't get close to them

Maybe the Salvage Pass from TARAus will be Leg 1 and the Express Pass for Leg 2? ???

This is really intriguing - the Express Pass in previous races was awarded to the team that won the first leg - in TAR US anyways.
Very speculative - but is it possible that the leg in Shanghai is a TBC - (To Be Continued) and that no one was eliminated?

I would suggest not, because in the same situation in TAR 18, Gary & Mallory were awarded the Express Pass. It seems that TAR treats a TBC leg as seperate legs nowadays. Also, we've had reports of only 10 teams at both Shanghai airport and Bangkalan.

Agree.  I finished watching TARAUS 2 first episode, and the SALVAGE PASS (in this version) has two options:  save last team from elimination or start the next leg one hour earlier.  If there was a SP (in the same terms that TARAUS) in this season of TAR, the winner team of Leg 1 could have decided to take the second option instead of the first one.

How long has it been since the last pitstop?

It looks like it's been about 17-18 hours.  It seems like that's how long I've been refreshing my screen.

I think the sun should be up there now.  Rise and shine, racers! :hoot:

Thank God! The Michigan team is still alive! :hearts:

I was getting worried there. The one time we get an actual team, it would be a huge disappointment if they lost this early. And no, I don't consider Hayden/Aaron a Michigan team...

The train trip looks to be roughly 300 miles, would that work out to a 6-8 hour run?

Apparently, it's this train:   9.20 Logawa  KA129 to Purwokerto.  Theodorus also believes this is the right one, only he specs they wouldn't go all the way to Purwokerto, because - as you stated - the long ride (they will arrive at 18.24 local time).  He thinks they going to leave the train in some middle destination; if I understood him well.

Peach, here's a map showing the train station and the circled town is where we think the train is headed:

In addition, if teams take the economy class, which is the cheapest one, the arrival time may not be punctual. It can be late for more than one hour!

Doubt it. Looks like the train is heading west (in the general direction of Jakarta) while Bali is east of Surabaya.

With the timing and number of trains potentially involved, in my mind they are converging on Yogyakarta.  But I'll admit my head is spinning.

It's like they come back here in TAR22, and have again a leg in Salta. :(

Actually, if teams really ride Logawa train, I don't think they will go to Purwokerto, since it is really hard from there to get out of Indonesia. The closest airport from Purwokerto is in Cilacap, which is 40 km south, and from there, you can only fly to Halim Airport in Jakarta. My speculation is they go to a big towns that have major airport.

International/National comercial airport along the train route:

Surakarta (Solo) - Adi Sumarmo Airport
Yogyakarta (Jogja) - Adi Sucipto Int'l Airport
