When do they usually announce the cast? Monday, middle of the week or friday?

With this coming weekend being a three-day holiday weekend in the U.S., and with the heavy news week in the U.S. due to a national party convention and a hurricane threat to the central Gulf coast (in the area where Katrina hit seven years ago), my guess is not before this weekend, being the opening weekend of the college (American) football season, and probably on Tuesday of next week after the holiday and when virtually all students will be back home and in class.

I could be wrong too, but, CBS definitely does not want to waste promotion time if no one is paying attention.

The cast reveal for TAR 19 was on Tuesday August 30th and the season premiere was on  Sunday September 25th - so the cast reveal was 26 days before the premiere.

So if they follow the same rule for TAR 21 with a premiere date of September 30th - there won't be a reveal until next week.

Unless, of course, the rule is to reveal on the Tuesday before Labour Day - which would mean its today!!!

Does CBS release the cast at exactly midnight of a day, or do they release it during the day at any random point?

A few tweets from this season's racers are implying that the cast will be revealed today at 9am EST  :tup:  :conf:
Be prepared for the press releases!

I hadn't realized it until I looked over the cast list, but most of them are over 30. I'm just guessing, but this may be one of the oldest group of contestants for any TAR season.
