I would still eliminate the possibility of an intersection because no team is REQUIRED to do a fast forward, thus WRP would not plan for an intersection for an odd numbered team leg. The last time a fast forward was offered but not taken was in S14 Leg 7, a charity FF in Phuket, Thailand

TL has pointed out that we do NOT yet know what is up with this helicopter? Why are they showing us this again in a separate frame? WHy is this important? And where does it come in? I tried to get the registration number in a cap and could not.

That's a good point, probably no intersection

Could it just be a reference to the Helicopter Underwater Rescue Training?

^My initial thought as well but will they put a helicopter in the air for that? There must be expenses and logistics. Unless it is just a random shot they got and decided to use as filler.

Doesn't TAR use helicopters for aerial views of cities? They could have just taken a video of their helicopter.

I don't know. But they went to the trouble of adding intense over it. We dont usually get random shots of the helicopters filming the race/city shots. I think this may be something that is a part of the "rescue" though. Remember this is  a helicopter evacuation, maybe this is just footage showing us a crash example??

Maybe the RB must be completed with the help of an instructor.  I remember teams in many tasks along all the season (the Ford RB in Belgium last season) who requires the involvement of a specialist for safety matters.  This could be another example of Occam's razor:  "the simplest explanation is usually correct".

I found this pic on flickr of some very uniquely staked hay on the back of a truck in Azerbaijan. I don't know how to post's pic's , so if someone could check it out and see if it's worth bringing over , i'd appreesh. It look's like something that could be a task to me anyway.

   FWIW, it's a Westland Sea King HARx helicopter (painted in search & rescue colors)

Do you think this could be a FF , after looking at it again it look's very difficult to do and very time consuming , unless they don't have to stack as many bales of hay as in the pic.

No one knows that it is a fast forward (if there is one) but it would be cool! We do have the clue about "stack up"

That explains that!! So this should be footage re helicopter rescues.... another great find TJ!

there would be an on location cameraman at the helicopter thing right??

so if the teams' film crew told the helicopter cameraman no team went for the FF, they could easily just have taken the intersection sign away before the teams arrive at the RB, and it would just look like a normal RB, right??
but i have to agree this helicopter thing does scream out 'Intersection'

and the whole hay thing does scream out 'FF', Dave/Rachel and Joey/Danny have not been seen in ANY promos, except the fire dancing, which appears to be an equaliser because every team is there

if am putting my money on an FF and an Intersection, JMO

That pic has bothered me for ages. WHY would two people be trapped in there together for a RB?? Couldn't/wouldn't that affect things? I was trying to make Bopper's companion be the capsule coordinator and not JJ somehow.

However in this scenario, as well as Season 11, the Intersection/Fast Forward was in conjunction where an intersected team competed for a Fast Forward. There was also 8 teams instead of the current 7 teams.
