I love love love this show!!! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

I don't normally like too many cooking shows, but the format of this show is really awesome!!!

The winners of Season 1 and Season 2 were really awesome! In fact, this is one of very few shows in which one of my favourite teams has won every time!

This season, I am obviously a littled biased in favour of New South Wales, as I live here, so Steve & Helen are my favourites, as well as Sam & Jillian.

But I also really like Angela & Justine (WA), Simon & Meg (NZ) and David & Scott (QLD) from Group 1. And from Group 2, I really like Emma & Andrew (WA), Nic & Rocco (SA), Megan & Andy (TAS) and Carly & Emily (VIC).

Leigh & Jennifer is the one I am neutral towards.

I can't stand Thomas & Carla and Peter & Gary. Thomas & Carla couldn't even cook - they were serving soap-flavoured desserts... :groan: :groan: :groan: And Peter & Gary are so arrogant it is ridiculous. They couldn't even cook either! :groan: :groan: :groan: (:;) (:;) (:;)

I'm looking forward to this next round which starts tonight!!! :conf:

I know i hate masterchef but for some reason i love this.

At least you can be bias(no ACT teams) but im going Steve & Helen(NSW) and Nic & Rocco (SA)

I can't stand Thomas & Carla . Thomas & Carla couldn't even cook - they were serving soap-flavoured desserts...

I cant wait to see what they will cook to stay out of Elinamation. Paper flavoued roast, grass flavoued soup or will they cook something eatable.

Yeah, me too! I really hate masterchef, but I love this show!!

Luckily it wasn't grass-flavoured-soup :lol3: but it was pretty close! :groan:

They scored:

Show content
49 - which is an improvement of their old score by just 3 points.

Unfortunately for them, all of the other teams scored 56+ in the first round (Megan & Andy - 56, Simon & Meg - 58, Emma & Andrew - 62, Peter & Gary - 63, David & Scott - 64) so if all of the other teams are just able to maintain the same scores as before, then Thomas & Carla will be out!

Tommorow night it is the New Zealand team - Simon & Meg, who I love so much! :hearts: They are such a cute couple and I really hope they can do really, really well and survive! They are probably my second or third favourite team! :hearts:

Team New Zealand cooked tonight!!! I love that couple! :hrt:

They scored:

Show content
77 out of 110, whiich is an improvement by 19 on their previous score of 58!!! :colors :colors :colors

I'm really happy for them, and I really love this team!!! :hearts:

77 is a really impressive score, and it is higher than half of the Top Six teams achieved in their first round! The only reason Simon & Meg were in the Bottom Three of their round was because their oven wasn't working and their pavlovas did not cook properly. However, tonight they proved that they can cook when their oven works properly!!!

So tomorrow it is Team Tasmania - Megan & Andy! They seem very knowledgeable about food - more than most of the other teams, and I was surprised by their low score of 56 in the first round. I predict that they will make a huge improvement to that score tomorrow!!! :conf:

Their meal looked much more appetising than anything Thomas & Carla served. I don't agree with the scoring.

Oh and by the way, Megan & Andy's score was 75 not 74!

So next week it is all QLD with David & Scott cooking on Monday and Peter & Gary cooking on Tuesday! I hope Peter & Gary fail! (:;)

David & Scott cooked up a score of:

56. This was 8 less than their result from their first restaurant, but a good enough score to put them in third place, ahead of Thomas & Carla and Emma & Andrew. Their entree earned big scores, but many people found the main to be too hot and the dessert to be flavourless.

So we are still in Queensland tomorrow, for the last instant restaurant and 'The Last Supper' as Peter & Gary start cooking again. The preview showed some fighting in the kitchen, as well as all the lights suddenly going out! I am hoping that they will fail tomorrow night, so as to spare Emma & Andrew... :duno:

I agree!

MKR All-Stars would be epic!!! They should bring Mossy & Gabe from Season 1 (NSW) for sure and definitely Daniela & Stefania from Season 2 (WA). :hearts:

I think that the general standard of the teams this season is actually quite low. Like last season, there were around 3-4 teams who would consistently do really well. But this season, there was only one team who ever scored above 80 in the Instant Restaurants, and I don't really think there is too much talent, although I expect the Top Two teams from the Elimination Round to do really well.

An interesting episode today! Teams were required to cook breakfast for 50 people at various Bed & Breakfast places in the beautiful Blue Mountains.

The results:

Show content
Carly & Emily (VIC) won the 'People's Choice', which gives them Immunity for the rest of this round. They won this prize by being voted the most popular by the 50 diners.

And Thomas & Carla (VIC) cooked their way into last place (decided by the judges). This means that they will have to cook off against whoever comes last tomorrow night, with the losing team to be eliminated from the competition.

Simon & Meg (NZ) are - of course - safe in this round, due to winning Immunity in the Elimination Round. Carly & Emily (VIC) are now safe as well. One of the other eight teams will have to face off against Thomas & Carla (VIC).

Personally, I thought Steve & Helen's (NSW) pancakes looked like the best breakfast. But Carly & Emily (VIC) was probably my 2nd or 3rd favourite dish, so it's a good outcome!

In other interesting developments, Nic & Rocco (SA) who set the MKR record for the highest score ever did not impress today, and were probably one of the Bottom Three teams, in my opinion. I thought they had this competition in the bag, but maybe not! :duno:

I'm getting a winning vibe from Megan & Andy (TAS). Just speculating, but I think they seem to know what they are doing more than most of the other teams. They just need to execute their dishes perfectly. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow! :conf:

Results tonight:

Show content
The first round of cooking at MKR Headquarters saw the eight teams having to come up with a dish involving chicken. (Carly & Emily (VIC) and Simon & Meg (NZ) didn't cook, as they are safe this round. Thomas & Carla (VIC) didn't cook as they are already up for elimination.)

So the teams picked their benches and then the judges said, 'Look under your bench. You have to cook your chicken with whatever is there.' So two teams (Sam & Jillian (NSW), Steve & Helen (NSW)) had a wok. Two teams (Leigh & Jennifer (SA), David & Scott (QLD)) had a baking tray. Two teams (Megan & Andy (TAS), Angela & Justine (WA)) had a deep frier. And two teams (Peter & Gary (QLD), Nic & Rocco (SA)) had something else - I can't remember what exactly!

So the Top Four would be safe and the Bottom Four would have to cook again in a Showdown. Funnily enough, all of the teams from Group 1 (Steve & Helen, Leigh & Jennifer, David & Scott, Angela & Justine) were deemed safe! Meanwhile, all of the teams from Group 2 (Megan & Andy, Sam & Jillian, Nic & Rocco, Peter & Gary) were told to cook again. They had to cook a dish in which salt and/or pepper played a key role.

In the showdown, Sam & Jillian prepared a pepper-based dessert, while Peter & Gary cooked roast beef and Nic & Rocco and Megan & Andy went with various seafoods.

The funny thing was that the judges seemed to enjoy all four dishes! But unfortunately, Sam & Jillian (NSW) were deemed the weakest, and will now have to cook off against Thomas & Carla! :(

I'm definitely cheering for the girls, 100%!!! :hoot: :hoot:

The cook-off is Monday night!

I just cant belive that Tomas & Carla made dog food for Breakfast

I don't think the cats or the dogs would even eat it! :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:

Cook Off #1:

Show content
Sam & Jillian - 32
Thomas & Carla - 39

It was quite a close cook-off. Sam & Jillian had a better entree, but the judges enjoyed Thomas & Carla's main and dessert more, leading them to victory.

I will miss Sam & Jillian, but the good thing about Thomas & Carla's survival, is that it will make everyone else's jobs a whole lot easier!

Can't wait till tomorrow night's episode!!! :yess:

Tuesday 6th March episode:

Show content
So tonight, teams had to prepare food and serve it to the people of Melbourne during lunch time. The team who raised the most money would win the People's Choice and grant them Immunity for the rest of this round.

The Top Two was revealed to be Steve & Helen (NSW) and last week's People's Choice winners, Carly & Emily (VIC). But by less than $20, Steve & Helen pulled home the victory!!! :yess: :yess: :yess:

Then, the judges deemed Peter & Gary's (QLD) dish to be the weakest, and they are up for elimination, having to cook at the next cook-off. :yess: :yess: :yess:

Whoever goes up against Peter & Gary, I will be cheering for that team! I hope we can get rid of Peter & Gary for good!!! (:;) (:;) (:;)

Raindom Queston : If you could pick any team from The Amazing Race (any verson) to compeate in MKR, who would it be ? and vice vercer any MKR team to go on TAR , who would it be ?

I don't know which TAR team I would put on MKR, but definitely someone who can cook! As for MKR teams competing on TAR (Australia) I would definitely put the Season 2 winners, who are:

Show content
Sammy & Bella

and I think they'd do well!

From the current season, I'd put David & Scott, Nic & Rocco or Carly & Emily on TAR, as I think they'd have the best shot.

Tonight's Episode:

Show content
First round, one team member was told to cook. They brought in their ingredients and then the judges said 'the other person (who you did not pick to cook) will have to cook instead'! So this caused some problems for some people, as they were forced to cook a dish they had never cooked before, especially Leigh.

But in the end, Leigh & Jennifer (SA), Thomas & Carla (VIC), Simon & Meg (NZ) and Megan & Andy (TAS) won their safety for the week.

This left Nic & Rocco (SA), Angela & Justine (WA), David & Scott (QLD) and Carly & Emily (VIC) in the bottom half, and they had to cook a dish that 'put their team on the plate'. So Nic & Rocco and Angela & Justine both impressed with pasta dishes coming from their Italian heritage.

Meanwhile, it was down between David & Scott and Carly & Emily, but the judges put Carly & Emily into the sudden death cook-off against Peter & Gary.

I'm sorta glad that Carly & Emily are in the Bottom Two, because it means that Peter & Gary have NO CHANCE to survive! Carly & Emily are one of the most talented teams this year, while Peter & Gary can't cook.

The only possible way for Peter & Gary to survive is if Carly & Emily make some sort of big mistake. Hopefully that doesn't happen. ;)

The most anticipated cook-off's results:

Show content
Carly & Emily (VIC) - 51
Peter & Gary (QLD) - 17

(Scores out of 60 - 6 judges each scoring out of 10.)

Wow! Not even close! Carly & Emily impressed for the whole menu! It was impeccable! Meanwhile, Peter & Gary went from an average entree to a dreadful main and dessert.

So happy with this result! :hoot: :hoot:

And apparently there is another episode on Sunday night, in addition to the episodes from Monday to Thursday next week! :yess:

Peter and Gary have said goodbye to MKR when they made a 70s soup and kangaroo strananoff that looked and tasted like human waist (had to keep it G rated). The final score was 51 to 17 to Carly & Emily

And apparently there is another episode on Sunday night, in addition to the episodes from Monday to Thursday next week! :yess:

I think this is for when 7 want to move Beter homes and gardens to thursday because of AFL in the MELB , ADL AND PER TV markits on Friday, SYD AND BRIS markits will probaliy get a movie on Fridays.

Tonight's episode - Sunday 11th March:

Show content
Teams had to cook for the annual festival in the North Queensland town of Ingham. The town produces sugar, so teams had to produce a dish involving sugar! There were some creative dishes, such as Carly & Emily's 'cheesecake cones' and even Thomas & Carla produced a decent dish!

The townspeople voted David & Scott (QLD) to be the People's Choice. Maybe a bit of favouritism for the team from Townsville, as I didn't think their dish was a stand-out, personally, even though I do like them a lot!

They are Immune for this round and won a Reward vacation in Tropical Queensland. But they had to choose one team to take along with them, and that team would also be Immune. They chose Nic & Rocco (SA). I think that was a poor strategic move, as it is pretty dumb to give Immunity to the biggest threat in the competition! :groan: They should've taken Thomas & Carla. If you can keep the team who can't cook, your odds improve!

But anyway, the judges deemed Megan & Andy's (TAS) dish to be the worst. Their dish was not exactly terrible, but it didn't meet the criteria of sugar, as there wasn't enough sugar incorporated into their dish, which was crepes with tropical fruit. So now they will enter the cook-off against whoever performs weakest tomorrow! Can't wait to see who it will be! ;)

I think Megan & Andy are one of the best teams in this competition, in terms of cooking ability. However, they always seem to make tiny little errors that stuff them up completely, and they did so again today. They just need to think through their dishes more carefully before they actually start cooking them, and if they do, I can see them going really far in this competition!

My favorite is definitely Steve & Helen. Reasons:

1. Because they are from NSW. :hoot:

2. Because they are Cypriots!

3. Because they are so adorable!!!!! :hearts:

But I really like every team except Thomas & Carla. And I love Simon & Meg and Megan & Andy in particular! :conf:

Meanwhile, last night's episode:

Show content
Teams haad to race by caravan to pick up supplies and then get to a camping location. However, the first three teams to the location would have to cook Main Course and the last three teams would have to cook Dessert, so teams needed to buy supplies for both courses!!

So there was an interesting scene at a small fish shop, where Carly & Emily bought like 90% of the seafood that the guy had in stock! Everyone else was not very happy!

So Simon & Meg, Angela & Justine and Leigh & Jennifer arrived first, and had to cook Mains. (All of that seafood that Carly & Emily bought went to waste! :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: )

Simon & Meg impressed with their main, but the judges felt the portions were too small, and the dish was more like an entree. Angela & Justine had some positives and some negatives in their feedback, while Leigh & Jennifer's dish did not impress.

THen Thomas & Carla, Steve & Helen and Carly & Emily started cooking desserts. Steve & Helen did very, very well, as did Carly & Emily, but Thomas & Carla's dessert was burnt. :groan:

So it was definitely between Leigh & Jennifer and Thomas & Carla, but the judges have placed Thomas & Carla up for elimination, and they must cook against Megan & Andy tonight!

Go Tasmania!!!!!!!!!!! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Megan & Andy - 41
Thomas & Carla - 32

So the team who can't cook is officially out of the competition!! :conf: :conf:

I certainly hope that Megan & Andy will be staying out of the cook-offs for a while! They need to go far in the competition!!

Can't wait to see what is next in store for the teams! :hoot: :hoot:

Tonight's episode (Wed 14th March):

Show content
Teams had to prepare seafood dishes for 'VIP guests', which turned out to be everyone's friends and family members. But the big twist was when the judges revealed that the people's choice would be determined by the contestants voting for other teams.

The contestants voted, resulting in a tie between Steve & Helen and Megan & Andy. This is the first ever tie in a People's Choice Award, and the judges revealed that the rules state that the judges have the final say between the tied dishes. The judges awarded the Peoples Choice to Megan & Andy (TAS), so they are safe! :hearts: :hearts:

But the judges deemed Simon & Meg (NZ) to be the weakest and they will enter the cook-off. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( I love the Kiwis, and I do hope they survive! Their dish looked better than Nic & Rocco's, so I don't think Simon & Meg should've been put in the cook-off this week.

Tomorrow's preview looks really interesting! Something about disgusting ingredients in a brown paper package wrapped up with string. :o

Lastnight's episode (Thu 15 March):

Show content
In ROund 1, teams had ingredients that kids love to hate, and one team member had to produce a dish within 30 minutes. Angela & Justine (with liver) and Leigh & Jennifer (with sardines) were the Top Two, achieveing safety, while Steve & Helen (with Brussels Sprouts), David & Scott (with olives), Carly & Emily (with tofu) and Nic & Rocco (with blue cheese) had to go into another cook-off.

This time, they had 90 minutes to produce a chocolate dish. The standard was REALLY high, but unfortunately Steve & Helen's (NSW) chocolate cake was not up to scratch. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

So now my Top Two Favorite Teams will have to cook against each other on Sunday! :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan: :groan:

Simon & Meg (NZ) vs Steve & Helen (NSW) - I will be upset regardless of whichever team goes home. THey both deserve to go further! :(

In a trans tasman elinamation cook off , the winner was decided by 1 point between 2 teams that could not be separated in cooking ability , Steve and Helen and Simon and Meg but it was the Greeks lucky day as they came up a victors in this cook off 36-37. This came as a shock to my aunt who had a theory , if a team appers on sunrise , the morning show or better homes and gardens it means their out. I call it the housewife tv curse. It worked during TAR Au like when the Big W girls went to big w hq the morning before their elimation in hong kong.

Side note : love the little au vs nz coments/ jokes between the 2 teams

My Predictions for the rest of this competition:

Show content
So at the moment, there are seven teams left:

Steve & Helen (NSW)
David & Scott (QLD)
Carly & Emily (VIC)
Leigh & Jennifer (SA)
Nic & Rocco (SA)
Megan & Andy (TAS)
Angela & Justine (WA)

I'm going to predict that Carly & Emily and David & Scott are the next two teams to go home, in any order. And then I'm going to predict Nic & Rocco to go home in fifth place, because they are way too inconsistent.

This will leave the Final Four of Steve & Helen, Megan & Andy, Angela & Justine and Leigh & Jennifer. It's impossible to know exactly how the competition format will be this year, but last year the Final Four were split into two Semi Finals.

I'll predict that Steve & Helen and Megan & Andy go home there, unless of course they face off against each other.

I'm predicting a Final Two of Leigh & Jennifer and Angela & Justine, with the former winning the competition. These two teams are definitely NOT the two best cooks in the competition, but they are definitely the most consistent two teams, which is why I think they will make it to the very end.

Hope you guys enjoyed my random predictions! I wonder how much of it will turn out to be true!

Monday 19th March Episode:

Show content
Wow, I think I completely jinxed it for Angela & Justine by predicting them to be runner-ups, and TAR21 predicted them to win, so we both completely jinxed it!

The first round was interesting. Angela & Justine had some bad luck, and the jury fairly put them in the Sudden Death Cook-Off. But I disagreed with the judge's decision to place Megan & Andy (TAS) in the cook-off, as I thought that - based on the comments made by the judges - Carly & Emily's dish was worse.

I was definitely cheering for Megan & Andy in the cook-off, as they are now my second favourites, with Simon & meg having departed. Having said that, Angela & Justine (WA) are immensely likeable too! They seem like very genuine, loveable people, and they seem like awesome friends!

The judges scored:

Megan & Andy - 57
Angela & Justine - 47

Teams cooked their 'Signature Dish'. Angela & Justine's Vietnamese-style duck impressed the judges, earning an '8' from 5 judges and a '7' from one judge.

However, Manu Feildel and Pete Evans thought that Megan & Andy's seafood dish was the best dish of the competition so far! :o They received three 10s and three 9s.

Angela & Justine will definitely be missed! They had too much potential to be leaving in 7th place. :( I think it is time for Carly & Emily to go home - they are good cooks, but their opponents are better. :)

I was really saddened that Angela and Justine went home :( They had a lot of potential.

Definitely! They were so consistent. It's a shame that just one bad dish was enough to send them home. :(

Tuesday 20th March episode:

Show content
Teams had to make a dish of cheese.

Meanwhile, the jury decided that they wanted the strongest teams to suffer in a Sudden Death Cook-Off for some reason. Maybe because they are just bitter. :res:

So the jury wrongly put Leigh & Jennifer (SA) into the Bottom Two, leaving the judges with an easy choice to place David & Scott (QLD) in there, since David & Scott's scallops were not cooked.

The cook-off was intense! Two seafood dishes with the narrowest of margins again, but the final score was:

Leigh & Jennifer - 52
David & Scott - 49

David & Scott will be missed! I think they were possibly the weakest remaining team, but I still will miss them, as they had awesome dynamics in the kitchen and great personalities!

I hope Leigh & Jennifer won't get targeted by the jury again. :res: And I hope Steve & Helen and Megan & Andy continue to prosper! :hoot: :hoot:

Wednesday 21st March episode:

So yesterday, the Final Five had to cook a dish with Citrus.

The jury deemed Megan & Andy (TAS) to be the weakest, even though Peter & Gary (QLD) vocalised their disagreeance with this decision.

Meanwhile, the judges placed Steve & Helen (NSW) in the Bottom Two.

As usual, my two favourites have to cook off and one has to go home! :'( :'( :'(

Megan & Andy - 50
Steve & Helen - 36

I was a little surprised by the results, because the judges gave such positive comments to Steve & Helen, but all gave them a score of 6 each. :/

So Megan & Andy join Nic & Rocco, Leigh & Jennifer and Carly & Emily in the Final Four.

I'm cheering for Megan & Andy, followed by Leigh & Jennifer!!! :hoot: :hoot:

I will definitely miss Steve & Helen! :torche

Last night's episode - Thu 22nd March:

Show content
This was an episode to determine rankings for the Semi-Finals. Two challenges - whoever placed 1st will cook against 4th place, while 2nd and 3rd will face off against each other.

So firstly, teams had to cook a dish using an ingredient chosen by the jury - CHILLI!!! (I love chilli!!! ;) )

But the twist was that for the first 15 minutes, only one person can cook, and then they need to swap at the half-way mark and the other person will cook for the next 15 minutes.

The teams scored:

Carly & Emily (VIC) - 18
Leigh & Jennifer (SA) - 17
Megan & Andy (TAS) - 15
Nic & Rocco (SA) - 14

In the next round, teams were given creative freedom to produce any dish they liked, with a 90 minute time limit.

Leigh & Jennifer's massaman curry dish and Nic & Rocco's macarons blew the judges away, each collecting perfect 10s. As a result, the final scores were:

Leigh & Jennifer (SA) - 37
Carly & Emily (VIC) - 36
Nic & Rocco (SA)- 34
Megan & Andy (TAS) - 32

This means that on Sunday night, my two faves Leigh & Jennifer and Megan & Andy will cook off for a spot in the Grand Final. Then, on Monday night, Carly & Emily and Nic & Rocco will cook off for the second spot in the Grand Final. And Tuesday night is the finale (2hrs I think).

I hope it is an all-South-Australian finale! That would be epic!!! I want Megan & Andy to win, but after barely escaping elimination in virtually every round, I don't have much confidence in them, which is why I would like Leigh & Jennifer to win that cook-off and then take home the finale. I'm not a big fan of the two teams in the other Semi Final, particularly Carly & Emily.

Realy because if anything not a fan of the teams in Semi 1 but love the teams in Semi 2.

Side note acording to the gossip magizenes Carly and Rocco are going out , my older sister is devistated.

Sun 25th March - Semi Final #1:

Show content
Leigh & Jennifer - 52
Megan & Andy - 46

It was an intense semi final! Very close indeed! :hoot: :hoot:

Both teams pulled off very yummy looking dishes and it was anyone's game! Once again, based on the judge's comments, I thought Megan & Andy would win. The judges comments seemed a lot mroe positive for Megan & Andy, but not the scores!

Interestingly, the two female judges found a piece of gravel in Leigh & Jennifer's main course! :oh That seemed to have a minor impact on their scores. I hope Leigh & Jennifer don't make that sort of mistake in the Final!

I hope Nic & Rocco can win tomorrow, although I just want Leigh & Jennifer to win the whole thing, regardless of who they cook against!

Semi Final 2 Results:

Show content
Nic & Rocco - 44
Carly & Emily - 43

Considering that Megan & Andy scored higher than both of these teams, I think that proved that Megan & Andy were actually the 2nd best cooks in the competition, behind Leigh & Jennifer. The same thing happened last season - the winners Sammy & Bella defeated Daniela & Stefania in one of the Semi Finals, but Daniela & Stefania had scored around 10 more points than both teams in the other semi.

So in less than 10 minutes, it's GRAND FINAL TIME!!!!!! Leigh & Jennifer vs Nic & Rocco - it is going to be South Australia vs. South Australia! :o

Clearly Leigh & Jennifer are the more consistent team. However, this could still go either way, because when Nic & Rocco perform at their best, they are impeccable. However, they are extremely inconsistent. I wonder how they will perform! It is hard to predict!

Cheering for Leigh & Jennifer!!! Bring it home, girls!!! :hearts:

Definitely the most consistent team won! Both teams were amazing tonight, but the girls won the battle! Impressive performance! They definitely deserved it!

And so after three seasons, I actually love all three MKR winners, which is something that doesn't happen very often with other reality shows!

Can't wait until the next season!!! :colors

I'm not sure whether or not the episodes are available on YouTube, but I think you should be able to find them somewhere! I'm not sure whether or not people outside Australia can watch the videos on the Seven website? :duno:

Interesting that the US has bought it! It is a great show and I can't wait for the US version! But I wonder how will it work? In Australia, each team represents their state. Does this mean there will there be like 50 teams on the US version? ???

I know this is a random post, about a show that was on last year... but this is DAVID of David & Scott .. thanks for your comments on the show. I loved being a part of it & ID defo give TAR a go... :) LOL  x
