As for gameplay, he was on Redemption Island 80 % of the game so I will say he never even really had a chance to play a game.

That is certainly not true. He had a chance to play, and he chose to be voted off instead of Christine. Had Christine beat Cochran, she would have join Savaii. That will make a 6 vs 6 and we know Christine will never go back to Upolu.

So Ozzy screwed his own game. He only survived that far because of a RI twist. Yes, he did win 100,000 but certainly as a player who played the game 3 times, I deem him in comparison with Coach as one of the few players who got to play the game 3 times and never got smarter. Hello, Survivor is all about the social game...? NO? :cmas11 Had he not treated Cochran like he was a second class citizen, Cochran may not have backstabbed the tribe too. There were so many possibilities and Ozzy was part of the reason of his own demise too.

I pretty much agree with you, Joab and not with Reality Gal (an obvious Ozzy fan).  Ozzy screwed his own game in two ways.  First, as you mentioned, he volunteered to get sent to Redemption Island.  Even if he didn't realize that Christine would very likely have gone to Savaii if she'd come back at the merge, volunteering to be voted out is not very smart!

The second and bigger error is the way he treated Cochran.  Yeah, I'm going to concede that the accusation of bullying was overblown, but still Ozzy never really made Cochran feel like a real part of Savaii.  Compare him with Sophie and Coach, both of whom did their best to make sure that people like Edna felt comfortable so that they wouldn't be tempted to flip.  If Ozzy (and the rest of Savaii) had made Cochran feel more comfortable, especially after Cochran fouled up the final Immunity Challenge before the merge, Cochran wouldn't have been as vulnerable to the suggestion that he flip.

I don't hate Ozzy.  I admire and respect his challenge prowess.  But is he a great strategist?  No way!  Is he good at the social game?  No.  I won't let his challenge prowess blind me to his strategic and social flaws.

Vicious is the word for how it got when the tribe began to turn on one another.  This is the part that always gets me; they are lovey dovey when they're knocking out the other tribe one by one and one big loving family in the process.  But as soon as there's no one left to boot and one of their own gets kicked out ie Rick, the hatred is so thick you could cut it.  Now really, what did Rick expect to happen?  I don't think I have seen such hatred from a jury member ever as I did in Rick's eyes as he faced the F3.

Rick you may be a nice guy but the down home cowboy hat just isn't gonna get you to the mill.

I've only seen about 5 seasons of Survivor, but Jim is my least favourite player throughout those seasons, except maybe Sash from Nicaragua.

Oh dear racer... :cmaslol

I don't know why you liked them... but oh well. I hope you didn't like Brandon too.

All these people drove me nuts when they were on their season.

Not a Brandon fan. :cmaslol

Phillip Sheppard - that guy is the best thing to happen to this world! Nowadays, every time I just read/hear his name, I start spontaneously laughing! :cmaslol So many memories! :cmaslol

As for NaOnka and Russell, I do enjoy watching most Villains, because Villains are generally more interesting than Heroes (obviously with some big exceptions). Maybe my opinions would be different if I had seen more seasons of the show, but having seen the ones I have, I like those castaways that you mentioned. :cmas22

And he still won duel after duel. Ozzy was the best player this season and deserved the money more than anyone.

Brat Sophie won even though she didn't deserve to win. That's okay she joins the worst survivor winners ever list along with Sandra, Natalie. Ozzy 100,000 grand and IMO we will see him again during an all-star season.

Ozzy was the only thing worth watching this season.

I did too. I don't think Jim, Keith, Whitney, Dawn or Ozzy had a chance to honestly play their entire game.

No offense, but this comment really irks me. To win Survivor, you don't have to make bold moves or be America's Favorite Player. All you have to do is make it to Final Tribal Council, and get the most amount of jury votes, which is what Sophie did. How does she not deserve it then?

Yeah, people like Sophie, and Sandra, and Natalie may not have been entertaining to some people, but they did what Russell and Coach could not, which is convince the jury to vote for them at the end. Did Russell make bigger moves than Sandra and Natalie? Sure, but by doing so he angered multiple members of the jury in the process, making it extremely likely for them to vote for him. And while Coach was in control of the Upolu tribe, he too, angered people by not only constantly claiming to playing with "honor and integrity" but continuing his facade at Final Tribal Council, when he should have owned up to the moves he made.

So although you may not like their wins (personally, I too am not that big of a fan of Sophie) you have to give them credit for doing what the other players didn't, which is make it to the end, get enough jury votes, and ultimately win the $1 million.

Sorry if this sounds like a long ramble.....

And Christine.

Christine did it to herself in the first minutes of the game she made that snide remark about Coach and from that moment on, she was toast.  She should have had the insight to keep her thoughts to herself and she might have gone far.  But she wasn't robbed, IMO!!

Also, did you guys notice that at the Reunion, the cast were sitting slightly out of their order of elimination?

The second row should have been: Jim (1st Duel Loser), Keith (2nd Duel Loser), Dawn (3rd Duel Loser), Whitney (4th Duel Loser), Cochran (5th Duel Loser) and Edna (6th Duel Loser), however, it was actually Jim, Dawn, Keith, Whitney, Cochran and Edna.

Dawn and Keith were sitting the wrong way round. I think the reason for it is quite obvious - Whitney and Keith are a couple - but has it ever happened before that the cast was sitting in the wrong order? :cmas5

They switched Cesternino & Richard on All Stars I believe.. since the whole Richard/Susan thing.

I only just got around to watching it, but I had to switch it off not even half way through because I was getting annoyed how much they used God. Like honestly, it seemed like Survivor was shoving religion down our throat.  :cmas31:
