Happy TAR DAY!!!

Even though we are a spoiler board, we do NOT want to have the episode spoiled while it is airing.
If you are watching anything but an EST US feed, it is your responsibility to be sure you are not ahead of us if you want to post/update in this thread. Canadian and Asian satellite feeds may be way ahead of us.

SO PLEASE ** NO WIKI UPDATES or Satellite Viewer updates or OUTCOMES ** to be posted before the show is done airing East Coast time! Anyone breaking the rule is at risk of being banned.

Otherwise, come watch with us for the best weekly viewing party in town!!

Previously on The Amazing Race...

5 teams race from Copenagen to Belgium.

Tommy got fired up at the roadblock.

At Legoland, Sandy got spun around.

Once in Brussels, teams flexed their muscles. Andy & Tommy and Bill & Cathi struggled. Marcus & Amani's celebration was cut short as the race continues through Belgium.

Ernie & Cindy arrive at the pit stop in 2nd. Cindy screams OMG after being told it's the next leg right away. They drive to a hotel to get directions.

Jeremy & Sandy are 3rd at the pit stop. Jeremy's shirt looks stained in the fake tan.

Andy & Tommy get 12 points at muscle posing thing. Only Bill & Cathi are still doing that.

Amani & Marcus can't get their directions printed, so they had to write it out.

WOAH. Nice cars. And racing suits. Ernie & Cindy get the clue to the roadblock. Who wants to play with Ponies?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH TEAMS GET TO DRIVE MUSTANGS. Teams have to reach speeds of 100 miles, navigate a slalom in 16 seconds or less and then do a donut. Ernie is doing the roadblock.

Andy & Tommy arrive at the pit stop in 4th place. Keep on racing.

Ernie is going for 100 miles an hour.... And he got it. He got a "very good."

Bill & Cathi think they're eliminated... BUT NOPE. They're very happy that they get to keep racing.

Cathi's in very high spirits. No speedbump.

Amani & Marcus are lost... They asked for directions.

Jeremy & Sandy are 2nd to arrive at the roadblock. Jeremy's going to do it.

Ernie... is not doing well at the slalom bit. He keeps crashing into the end box. Lots of screaming.

Jeremy gets a "that was perfect" for the 100 miles part.

Ernie must have done this over 6 times already. Jeremy caught up to Ernie.

Ernie's nervous because Jeremy is right behind him. And Jeremy's a big car guy.

Jeremy ALMOST got it. He had plenty of time but crashed into the end box.

Ernie finally gets it. He finishes it in... 14.1 seconds? Ernie does donuts.

Jeremy finishes in 13.7 seconds. And now he's doing victory donuts. His instructor is so intense.

Ernie finishes the roadblock. Drive to Gent. Search the Hoof...something for the next clue.

Jeremy finishes the roadblock in 2nd.

Marcus did the slalom in 16.5 seconds. He has to do it again.

Tommy knocked a cone down.

Marcus finished the slalom in 13.8 seconds. Victory donuts time. Marcus gets pumped up... really pumped up.

Bill & Cathi arrive at the roadblock. Bill is doing it.

Marcus, I hope that's not how you want Amani to drive... you'll get a ton of tickets!

Tommy finishes the slalom and does victory donuts.

Ernie & Cindy get the detour clue first. Water or waffles.

Water: Use materials to create a floatable raft. Then they have to float down this... stream place and find two halves of their clue.

Waffles: Assemble a waffle stand, and the create 16 (or was it 18?) waffles to the satisfaction of the guy watching them.

Ernie & Cindy do waffles. Cindy's too short.

Bill finishes the roadblock.

Ernie & Cindy wrote down a description of all the waffles they have to make. Cindy is going all "Why don't you use..." on Ernie.

Bill & Cathi leave the roadblock in last.

Marcus & Amani do waffles. Andy & Tommy do water.

Jeremy's more of a pancake maker. He's already frustrated.

Nope. Marcus & Amani switched detour after looking at the waffles detour.

The water detour looks so cool...

Ernie & Cindy got a no for their first attempt at the waffles. It turns out the strawberries just fell off of one waffle. They finish the detour in first place.

Andy & Tommy finish the detour in second.

They have to go to Muur near Kasteel... Andy & Tommy are clueless.

The only other proving ground in Belgium that I can find is Toyota's in Zaventem. Toyota is spending its product placement money with Top Chef and is not doing product placements with the Amazing Race.

I am not sure of this, but my notes indicate that Jeremy and Sandy were in 3rd place leaving Waffle and Amani/Marcus well behind them.

It is spelled Ghent on Google maps. Perhaps Ghent is the American version of Gent.

I'm with you, as the English name of that city has always been Ghent and that's the way I know it. However, just like the cities in India have changed names in recent years, so have some in Belgium. Here is a line on the Internet from Tourism Belgique:

Gent/Gand: un week-end géant à Gand - Tourisme Belgique

Note that Gand and Gent are Flemish names for Ghent. Gent is the capital of the East Flanders province and squarely in the Flemish part of Belgium.

I seriously loved this episode, maybe the best in this season?

I loved how the camera just glides perfectly.

I loved how Phil and the greeter merges, and they faced the direction during Bill & Cathi's exit.

The pit-stop location is darn cool. Just wished that there was more daylight when Andy and Tommy checked-in.. then we could have had the bright day and the night version of the scenery.
